The staff was very friendly and hard-working, but the manager phone rather, than to take care of guests and staff. The food was very monotonous and poor. The open restaurant, lobby/bar were dingy. Everything unambiguously management. The tents could use a renovation. read more

The Tipilikwani cam is located in the Masai Mara. It is also part of the atua - enkop -group, but with the elephant bedroom and the Mbweha camp doesn't measure up at all. it features a building in the front desk, office, a shop, as well as toilets, as well as a larger half-open building, in which a comfortable holiday area with many occasions to sit, as well as the restaurant is. the camp makes a maintained impression, however on the contrary the two other Camps, which we visited, was somehow the attention to detail and it everything seemed impersonal ... and without atmosphere. the tents are 20 relatively new, however it is weak on many things, so were for example many broken rice traps. we had full board and I popped mom it was a wonderful Bush dinner, which was really great. This affected my review also in the positive Sense. the guest structure was International, however were not many guests as, average age was about 40 years. read more

The tents are actually comfortably furnished. The two queen size beds were very comfortable. The shower worked perfectly and everything else was fine. I was here, that in contrast to the elephant bedroom always everything closed and you yourself the sides of the tent could not be opened, since nearly all were broken rice traps. the spacious porch invites you to stay a. the view is however by shrubs mostly strong limited - we had here with our Tent a bit more lucky. our tent was nearby the kitchen, so you were woken up early with loud rattled. Also otherwise it was the noise sometimes a bit disturbing. But there are also many tents, the better beach chairs and because of good facilities I'll give it 4 stars here.

  • Gastronomy

the food was OK, but nothing special. The kitchen was tasty rather disappointing. Especially in comparison to the two other Camps of group -both the quantity, as well as the quality of disappointing. the atmosphere by loud housekeeping and rattling cutlery polishing work during the meal times definitely. Also attempted you for example a beachside breakfast available to make, but it ended in a chaos. some orders came twice or wrong-it was on.

  • Service

We know in the meantime some accommodations, but as we have never experienced. There was shortly before we arrived a management change and FAS the complete staff absolutely listless and unmotivated. One had the feeling, that as a guest not welcome was, but rather disturbed. the cleaning of the rooms was OK, other services, such as laundry service, we didn't used. complaints -okay, the manager she took note of, but it wasn't much done. We had lucky, that a employee the elephant bedroom accompanied us and he gave his best-it is, that I popped mom really great organized and really was a highlight. Here everything worked and it is a pity, that otherwise is not the case. If something change would, then the camp would be far more popular. So it is an average out. we have never experienced something like that, you would expect in a camp of bulk of the staff not once were greeted. The few positive Highlights here justify still the 3 stars.

Well, there is a campfire place, but during our stay burnt here not a single A fire. There are no opportunities to sit in the open - chairs you can only be achieved on repeated demand organize.

For Masai Mara there is good 10 minutes gate, but there is a footbridge over the Masai Mara, the leads directly into the Masai Mara. I myself can with the Masai Mara area not to make friends itself-it is located on several factors (e. g. A. reminds me the cow bells Ting of the Alps). The Camp offers a limited view of the Masai Mara game possibilities with a few. There is a campfire place, but during our stay burnt here not a single A fire.

Last year my wife and I undertook a 3 day safari to Tsavo West and Amboseli with WT Safaris. Their service was so excellent that we planned a return trip this year, together with two friends. On this occasion we wanted to go to the Masai Mara as well as return to Amboseli and Tsavo West. Our programme was immaculately organised by Peter and Christine of WT Safaris at their office in Diani Beach. Their communication over the internet was first class - we paid a 10% deposit in advance and the balance on our arrival in Nairobi. The 5 ... day safari was quite demanding - we were picked up from our hotel in Nairobi, stayed 2 nights in Tipilikwani Masai Mara Camp, then one each in Sentrim Amboseli and Ngulia Bandas in Tsavo West - the latter two the same locations we stayed at last year. Peter came up from Mombasa to Nairobi to welcome us, together with our driver Hamadi, the same driver who accompanied us last year. Let me tell you he was absolutely brilliant. Some of the days involved covering a lot of miles on extremely difficult roads but Hamadi did everything with a smile on his face as well as showing a very good knowledge of animals and birds in the reserves. He is a great driver. Tiplikwani Camp was first class - situated just outside the Masai Mara but an excellent location for getting around. The accommodation and food were really good and we received first class service from the staff there - particularly the head barman Peter (a different Peter) who was always on hand to make sure our wine glasses were topped up! Sentrim Camp at Amboseli was also first class with very good food and excellent rooms. The only slight disappointment was the accommodation and food at Ngulia which we felt was not anywhere near as good as it had been last year. However, the location is simply stunning. Overall the safari was absolutely brilliant. We saw all the big 5 except the rhino (same as last year, I think they are avoiding us) and a whole variety of different animals and birds with the highlights seeing a mother cheetah with 6 cubs and a couple of leopards in trees in Tsavo. If anyone is thinking of booking a safari to Kenya I would advise you to look no further than WT Safaris. Their organisation and communication are faultless and their prices were the most competitive we encountered. Peter and Christine oversaw everything - including organising our taxi from Diani to Mombasa on our last morning - and presented each of us with a carved wooden giraffe as we left - a really nice touch. Hamadi was simply superb as a driver and guide. All in all a truly unforgettable experience. read more

very varied choice of food. my wife and I are vegetarians so we are quite particular about what we eat. nevertheless there was a wide choice for us at all meals so we need not have worried.

excellent service, particularly from the bar staff and restaurant staff who were very attentive. we were provided with a good packed lunch on the day we spent in the game reserve and which we ate alfresco

2 nights/three days during my two week stay at the GALU beach in this wonderful Camp. The drive from the airport to camp you could see lots of animals and the stunning scenery. Camp feels very luxurious and family. Good Food! Great is the location of the camps. Quite close to the border of Tanzania.. On a river to Serengeti the GNU-hike to watch from the Serengeti for Masai Mara hiking. Masai Mara is if you the diversity and richness of individual animals and probably the largest. read more

We were on a safari for two nearby in this camp and enjoyed it very much. The 'tents', (actually it was more bungalows with mobile walls) are huge and comfortable. The whole area is decorated with a lot of attention to detail equipped, you will feel at home here. We can recommend this camp unlimited highly recommend. read more

We were on our 8-day Safari two nights in this hotel. We are first after 14 o'clock arrived and lunch was already past, but we can pick from the full Menülarte. Food was always very good and plentiful. The tents are nearly luxurious equipped to and from the hotel was very quaint in Masai Mara-river. In addition you have in front of each tent a wonderful Terrace. We would again at any time get there. read more
