Hotel Harzhaus^{(4 stars)}

The hotel is located in a quiet and idyllic forest location, you can here good go hiking. We were right at the beginning at the front desk welcomed in a friendly manner. The room was somewhat small, but everything clean and available that you need, the view of the game reserve is also very clean. The 4 course candelight dinner was absolutely great, very recommendable. The breakfast buffet offers a great variety and there was everything needed, except ' real Nutella'. We were very positively surprised and have as a family for the winter holidays next year just booked again. When we were there, were several families and many couples there. The rooms are not large but absolutely sufficient and very clean. The restaurant is excellent and special requests were very well received. Everything was delicious and we would have the whole card try. The only point of criticism the modest rolls and the hard bread for breakfast. The sauna area is modern, brand new and very attractive. The fitnesshalle seemed somewhat functional and cool, is however an enrichment, also in ... the somewhat indoor something to do. Hotel guests have complimentary use of the new indoor pool the site, which with a giant slide and warm water also very worth it. Outside of the hotel are just the rodelberg, cross-country ski runs and hiking trails, so you not always directly by car los must. Our journey began on 22-12-2012 and ended on 27-12-2012. We spontaneously for the harzhotel decided but also it looked also like that. Rather after a har (t) z-4-standard than a 4 star hotel. The service and the cleaning crew were very friendly and accommodating, the management a total catastrophe and incompetent in the area of customer service. Us jugglery suggests, they gave us a bit on a bill, which we did not taken into account and the leisure land a fitness centre suggests, and even the wall covering from cheap plywood and not to sport invites. I have although it ... is only the gym use it but this can not any question. Fitness is the wrong word. To the selection stood a cheaper tower, the proportions rather suitable for children was as for adults, a treadmill, two crosser, a stationary bike, and a spinning wheel. Everything cheapest quality, sometimes also not working since batteries empty. The variety of dishes was all right but not exceptional. We had the hotel booked and afterwards first the reviews read. Since there were a few bad reviews there, we are eagerly to benneckenstein and can only say, that we statements at all not understand could! We had the room number 212, with a bright tiled bathroom with slanted, the but nevertheless large enough is for 2 people. The living room/ bedroom is so large, that also a seating area place. The bed, the closet and the desk with a tv were everything great reasonable. The only thing, that we missed, was a lighting in the seating area, for example ... a lamp. The breakfast buffet was delicious and stocked with everything, what you imagine can. Otherwise we found the coffee really good. On the first evening we had a 3-course menu by candlelight. This food was tasty and above all the dessert. I had a fleischfreie variant asked, immediately accepted. I could even decide, which appetizer and which main course I would like to. Beautiful small hotel at the edge of the forest with a deer enclosure. Near our visit was rutting season and the deer shouting. Staff was very friendly and the food always good. Unfortunately we had bad weather. read more

Had a wonderful short break in a very nice and peaceful location. ( with a great view the game reserve ) staff were friendly and attentive. A large variety on food was very tasty. The sauna area in the house was simply great. read more

We were in the Hotel Harzhaus in august 2013: was pleasant the enclosed entrance to the swimming pool benneckenstein, also the hotel with the new spa area and the animal enclosures was quite pleasant. Hiking trails started right on the hotel. Not so nice was our very small room 113 (may be because of the Groupon-voucher), otherwise was not much to criticize. We had a ' cuddle weekend, two nights with breakfast and a candlelight dinner. To the greetings there was a large bottle of little red riding Hood sparkling wine to the room, in the restaurant there was a sparkling wine as welcome drink. The hotel is in a nice location and quiet. We were with the motorcycle there. There is a Motorradcontainer, but we directly in front of the front desk parked. We had a room (303 ) on the attic storey. Before the room window there were two chimneys, probably exhaust or heating, they made often again quite loud ... noises. Who has an easy sleep, should the room not really book. The room was big enough. The pillows are a middle disaster, the mattresses feast. Unfortunately you could the windows no screens. There were no blinds or curtains. Here should be remedied, since the room relatively fast aufheizt and the sun quite early wakeup. There unfortunately in the bath relatively many fremdhaare, this cannot be tolerated. There the bathroom nothing special big and white tiled, the must see. Basically the cleanliness in the whole hotel however quite reasonable. In the conservatory the window sills daily from dead flies removed. The whole staff was very friendly. The dishes on solid level. The portions were tidy, the breakfast buffet extensive. The prices for food were the middle area ( Grillpfanne 16,00 Euro, Schnitzel 12,50 Euro). A bottle of wine for 12,50 Euro we found cheap, a small FL. Water 0.25 litre 2,00 Euro/ soft drink 1.90 Euro rather than a bit expensive. Under a candle light dinner you basically a bit romantic before. This was certainly not. There was a solid three-course -menu and on the table burned a candle, the burned but also on each other occupied table. So don't expect too much! In short: we can recommend the hotel. It is one of the better hotels in the region. The value for money goes completely fine. Very suitable as a base for walks or cycling. We had 4 quiet days in resin over a Groupon Gutschein booked. We must now however note, that you have this voucher half of the actual price save. Under this aspect the value for money is excellent been. We had a room in the 3rd floor. This room many as very small designate, for us it was for the 4 days perfectly adequate. The most important for us is always the cleanliness and this was unconditionally given. In the bathroom was everything available, what you need. There was but unfortunately no blinds or curtains to screens. Otherwise no shortcoming! The ... breakfast was great, I had rarely seen such a selection of experienced. That there is no scrambled egg there, I think in comparison to other guests, easy. A good vacation should not scrambled egg piggyback! Totally new wellness area is a force! Sauna, Turkish and relaxation area are totally nice and quiet. The dinner we have in the hotel's own restaurant to us. There was amongst others game and pub dishes. Top! The staff are very friendly and everything is very easy going! In short: for quiet days in the resin for walking or just nothing-do perfect. You should not with the expectations to this hotel go, that it with the friends large chains compete to. If you attended-> perfect! read more

The value for money was all right. The double room was quite small, but as well as the bathroom clean. Unfortunately had the windows no blinds or curtains to darken, so that we in the morning by the sun, the light into the room seemed, already quite early woken up. Itself the hotel is really nice. However it is not a four star hotel. For breakfast only the coerced ( no scrambled egg etc.) tasted also really less. Has quite taste of anything. I have my man to wedding anniversary Romantiktage in the Hotel Harzhaus get. I was very pleased the hotel looked really good. When checking in we had in the 3 floor without lift, the room was extremely small, the bathroom also. There was a massive TV the only positive at this room. We had no curtains no blinds in front of the window so the late afternoon and evenings fully the sunshine in the room slam and at night it was unbearably in this room. You could also the window not open as in front of the window a silver ... heat duct unverriegelbare was also constantly started up. The worst however were the beds in this hotel I was already in many hotels but so loud and squeaking I have never had. Then to canvass for anniversaries or lovers so romantic, the beds definitely not on. US it is in any case thoroughly past. read more
