Room service is not satisfactory. Balcony small and smells bad. Monkeys are so obtrusive, that balcony cannot be used. For three stars in Sri Lanka you get far from better hotels. read more

Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel. I did not feel comfortable, because the independence was simply missing. I don't know what the people in these countries, you're very kind, nice and want to help but a wheelchair users do not always get helped but work independently, just be independent. For healthy people completely okay but not accessible for disabled people. I would ask the management to respect and wish every success. read more

The hotel complex was advanced and scored with very nice location and beautiful views, however is the staff not always so polite and the service and the furnishings a deluxe room leaves a lot to be desired. read more

We stayed at the hotel Thilanka on the second day our Sri Lanka tour, we from home Janith Priyantha booked in had (very recommendable, very cheap, see my travel, its Tel. 0094-77-9850609 janithpriya. Sltnet or email @ LK). The hotel Thilanka in Kandy is raised above the city of Kandy, with a great view of the Milchsee, the tooth temple and the Buddha on the far side of the hill, so very nice location. It has 87 rooms in different categories, and not all have air conditioning. Overall the hotel made a well kept, clean impression. At our travel time ... it was almost fully booked with guests from Germany and England, as well as a few East Europeans. The room was small, but nice, with separate toilet and separate water shower, as well as air conditioning and tv. Our room was in the building between the restaurant and pool, so no direct view of Kandy. Before the room, a small stone, front garden with sofa to relax and a few plants, which was a bit of a Japanese style. The restaurant offers a wide buffet in the morning and in the evening. The dinner includes soup, 5-6 different international and Sri Lankan dishes, dessert/fruit. For breakfast, different types of bread, yeast braid, cereals, jam, scrambled eggs, baked beans, grilled tomatoes, sausages, tea/coffee/milk, etc. during our trip this was the richest and most delicious breakfast and evening buffet. So all in all a recommendation on our part! Further information about the hotel also under http://www. Thilankahotel. COM/ read more

A private guide had booked this hotel for us, and, although we only stayed one night, we were given a lovely room with views of Kandy. The monkeys on the balcony we met unfortunately not.
The buffet was quite wide, however, was the selection of vegetarian dishes not as large as in our main hotel.
The hotel altogether was very inviting and friendly! Our room was very large, unfortunately we had through-convenient mattresses, pillows and bedding smelled almost unbearable to bear it and we would have no other night in this bed. read more

The location on the hillside overlooking Kandy is fantastic. Our private guide booked this hotel for us and therefore very surprised. Despite a stay of only 1 night we were given a great room on the top floor with a gigantic view. It was over dimensionally large with a beautiful balcony. Monkeys have we didn't get to see. The pool looked very inviting, unfortunately the time was too short, in order to test it. The food in the half-open the restaurant was very extensive and delicious. read more

We booked this hotel for a night on the recommendation of our travel guides. Fantastic views of Kandy, Milchsee and tooth temple. The dozens of monkeys, on the balconies on the Windows do gymnastics. Breakfast and dinner were very good. Short walk to the sights nearby (tooth temple, Kandy-dance, 'jail' in Kandy. For short stay highly recommendable. read more
