To the previous years in the paradisus Punta Cana after a change in management absolutely disastrous situation! But first some positive things: you have no expense or effort spared, an open-air restaurant by the beach in modern international style exclusive for royal service guests build (the 'la palapa'). Directly adjacent-also absolutely modern design-a large Gabi-beach restaurant (including bar and disco) opened. (a little more caribbean-dominican flair could have been better-but the zeitgeist changes, and the hotel, currently appears to be a uniform european-international style-unfortunately at the expense of the 'dominican soul'). The beach is one of the most beautiful islands ... of the atlantic coast, and for the royal service area reserved section was considerably enlarged and with more sonnenhüten and beds, so that of the chairs-occupancy no bottlenecks occur again. Our butler Juan jimenez, ruddy and Ruben were with distance the best, the globally we've had in a royal service. Evenings there was also every day always only the same menu with various rodizzio - fleischspießen as a highlight. The meat is mostly totally overcooked, dry and tough. Very honored women and men, After a few days of our trip to Punta Cana we have chosen a claim for reimbursement of a portion of the paid price for the journey to assert. The first room we were we could not accept, because the urine of the vorbewohners at the toilet stood, the water in the washbasin did not drain and the bed obviously recently added used. This we accepted, because it at least fresh laundry and a functioning bathroom had and we simply only sleep wanted. The freshly renovated Corner room are provided with generally a jacuzzi on the balcony. Bath with large rain shower. Mini bar with snacks and soft drinks or beer -all inclusive. For the larger distances in the complex a shuttle bus-service to the bungalows, pool, beach, restaurants and the lobby offered. To the airport there are about 35 minutes by car. Options for shopping are either directly at the shops in the hotel or outside in Punta Cana ( for example in the shopping center Plazza bavaro- about 15 minutes on foot ). In the place are also numerous restaurants, bars and clubs. Excursions for example to Santo Domingo, saona, aqua park (swimming with dolphins ) etc. can directly in the hotel be booked.

Wonderful vegetables and dreamlike fruit in abundance. Wonderful tasting cakes. Desserts and petit fours round the food from. It International drinks offered, without additional payment. For us Frühstückkellner gets 2 American dollars, the waiter at the beach per drinks 1 American dollar, the Mittagskellner 4 American dollar and in the evening 5 American dollar. The 1 and 5 dollar bills order in our bank. In Austria, it is unconscionable not tip to give, and the cathedral. Republic as well. Scrounger to stay at home.

    the friendliness the employees is particularly praiseworthy. Whether front desk, gardener, service staff or Butler, all strive. All speak English, some also German. All happy, if you as a tourist a bit of Spanish. The cleaning of the rooms worked not always so as we are used in Austria, but a complaint at the royal service front desk, and everything worked again.

    We play in 2 weeks vacation 6 times golf in the cocotal club, the wonderful 27 holes. There is a free shuttle bus(we give per drive 2 American dollars). the green-fee is free, only the drinks you have to pay(per person 36 US dollars) Furthermore, we have 6 xTennis (also in the price inclusive), only in the evening the light pay. Unfortunately we never managed, a dance class to visit, that a great shame is, because in the evening in the main bar beautiful Caribbean music to be heard. We as royal service guests have a private beach section with service and private pool bar. The quality of the water of the pools will every day controlled. There is sun screens with a large lounger and 2 sun loungers. All employees try the beach clean to keep, but unfortunately there are very many 'piglet' as guests.

    We always stay oceanfront, that is to say, direct at the beach( 10 meters away) to the airport there are about 25 minutes. Wonderful excursions you can enjoy various tour operators book. A shuttle bus-bus(free) takes you to a shopping center. We are however not for shopping here.

As the title says, it this hotel was in good memory. From check in to the check out we were in good hands. "The reserve" I have enjoyed it very much. Everything very modern and luxurious. The staff were all very nice and helpful. The concierge was our needs very well received. The other resort area outside of the reserve is my first impression. A variety of gardeners, for example to maintaining the huge grassy areas looked after every day. Because of the size of the resort, 24 hours a day run within the complex small buses which the guests ... to its objectives. There were signs at any time of trash in the area, everything is well maintained. The gastronomic selection is also nothing to complain about - there is something for every taste. The all inclusive service is also very good. The guest a variety of activities to choose from, of course all free of charge. Much contributions report noisy and disturbing music. I booked this phenomenon looking in vain. The music isn't too noisy or disturbing. All in all, I can say, that the PPC a very nice, well maintained, ultra-modern hotel with really good service and ammenities. Highly recommended. read more

The rest and older part of the area, as often described before, not worth the money, but you don't know if the hotel guests (mostly Americans) is adjusted or vice versa. No 5 *, loud and tactless, especially in the restaurants - carton boxes for dinner-take away in Strandbekleidung! - A once in a lifetime experience. The specialty restaurants where reservation was obligatory some offer Convenient-food and overall poor standard, but at least there were no ugly Männerbeine in savory shorts. The Abendunterhaltungsecke seemed late in the day and poor lighting as "nightmare on elmstreet". This can get almost everything ..., if you avoid the secluded area "The reserve" bay - here: Extra quiet pool, with its own restaurant serving bar food, large and very well appointed suites, good and friendly service, great kids club (10 -22 hours), shuttle tram on the reserved beach section (walk about 600m walk) with good service; there also new gym with good Stundenangebot ( spinning and yoga) and clearly relaxing and more upscale than the rest of the area. The endless beach, with good waves is a dream, apart from the all inclusive. -foolishness some neighboring hotels - but not suitable for toddlers 1,5 meter - to the long Sonnenuntergangsspaziergang and jogging but perfect. The rooms in the reserve are at the normal rate ( circa 400 euros per day for the junior suite, all 3 of us. Inc. ) Still too expensive, stayed at the crisis-hit EASTER SPECIAL only paid 250 - what a comfortable value revealed and a relaxing family holiday. PS: Sonneneinstufung and provided on relating only to the reserve! read more

If you are accustomed to quiet food is in the wrong place. Dauermusik in several restaurants in an incredible loudness. You're already at breakfast annoyed, since only 1 restaurant is open and therefore a sublime "Furry" is. Some rooms also feature in the restaurants so that the air conditioning units, that is a fridge-feeling arises. ( Not seen Japanese and Italian restaurant. ) Conclusion: The grounds is great - and the rest of meters. E. Middle class. The price is too high. read more

The hotel bungalows are situated in a very nice location. The rooms are rather standart contrary to the fact they are described as Junior rooms in the catalogue. Our room was rather a smelly apartment. Back at home first we had to give all our clothings to the cleaning service in order to get completely rid of this smell. read more

The hotel bungalows on the first floor are a mouldy nightmare of the worst kind, the rooms are covered with indefinable dirty stains. There's a lot of dust and dirt under the beds. The cupboards are out of shape and dirty. Musty and mould everywhere, which can lead to problems if you suffer from allergies. That was the case for me. We had to change rooms three times to make it semi-bearable. The grounds along with the bottom floor were completely flooded in September 2005. Renovation work has made things worse, not better. read more

    The rooms are very big. It would have been better to completely replace all the furniture affected by the flooding. That goes above all for the built-in cupboards. As the bungalows were spread out across the whole resort and we only saw three rooms, we can only judge these. Which we have just done. Our room-type was supposed to be "Superior", which we seriously doubt.

    Lunch and dinner in the various restaurants was very good. For a 5* hotel the breakfast was rather meagre. The orange juice was undrinkable, only one kind of cereal, disgusting jam, only ice-hard butter, no margarine, the bread rather an acquired taste. Didn't try the sausage or the cheese. The fried eggs, tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers were OK, and the fruit excellent. A small selection but you can live with it for a week. The cocktails were disgustingly sweet and had nothing in common with those you would normally find in a bar. Was as cheap as you'd expect in an "all-inclusive".

    I'll give 2/6 here because the room-cleaning was just terrible. Have already gone into some detail in the "hotel" section. That doesn't mean that the chamber maids were unfriendly. The hotel staff were also very helpful, leaving aside the difficulties we had in communicating. The restaurant staff were untrained, and inattentive. The uniforms of the kitchen-staff in the open-cooking area were filthy and created a very unsavoury impression.

    The size of the on-site pool and its facilities were great. The quality of the sun-loungers was so-so- many were broken, many were simply over-used. You had to look for good sun-loungers. There were enough shaded-areas, quality of beach was OK, likewise the daily changing of the pool-towels.

    The hotel is in a beautiful location, right by the 42km long beach. The parking area is extremely spacious and extremely well-maintained.
