My stay in paradisus punta cana was very good. My girlfriend and I appreciated the staff there they were very friendly and understanding. Rooms were clean, the pool was constantly cleaned and the food was great. I tasted some of DR cuisine for the first time there and I felt in love with it. I'd definatelly come back again on my next trip. read hotel review

This is my 3rd visit to DR and 3rd hotel. Save your money and book at the Majestic Elegance. Better food and service. I should have taken the advice of the other bad reviewers because they were spot on. Here's an account of my my experience. My husband and I stayed at the hotel from Jan 4th-18th. I booked this hotel after viewing the grounds the year before. They are stunning and it's the best part of the hotel. Too bad the gardeners can't also run the place. When we first arrived, we dragged our luggage all the way to ... reception because the front welcoming staff didn't welcome or inform us that we should leave it there. 6 bags in total as my husband and I were on a month long summer/winter weather vacation. After checking in, I brought it back and found my way to my first room. It was a double bed (of which we booked one king) and old in decor. Hardly the 4star quality type I have perviously stayed at or they claim. I called the front desk, explained that this is not what was pictured and my husband and I wanted to sleep in the same bed. They switched us to another room and unfortunately it was the same rundown, dirty (hairs on the couch, crooked pictures and lighting fixtures,etc) Finally, they put is in the luxury jr with garden which worked fine. I will summarize the rest of our stay instead of a daily accord. Both my husband and I got some kind of food sickness totaling 11 times. Multiple times I had to take the food manager into to look at the food that they were serving. The bacon almost everyday was raw, pancakes, waffles were as hard as hockey pucks, the variety of food never changed with the exception of a few items. The breakfast and lunch buffet was so lack luster and flavorless, very disappointing. I heard many many guests complain and it was hardly the spread that my family and I experienced at the majestic elegance the year before. I was under the impression that we were going to more upscale hotel. Food - Buffets - poor poor poor Mole - I assume they wanted it to be Molé ? A mole is a growth. This is barely mexican food. Further they don't even have a dish with MOLEsauce in it. Fail. Argentinian steak house- Please just call it something else. Another buffet with a main course. They need to look up what an Argentinian steak house is of which this is not. Food was decent. Bana- good on both sides with good service Vento- good with good service Aqua - Need to serve actual italian dishes. service was decent. La Palapa- good food but the service at La Palapa was the slowest in the resort. I had to always ask for more wine and water or attempt the attention from the waitstaff. It is only available to Royal service guests. Fuego- poor with good service My family came down the second week into our stay where they booked into Royal Service so my husband and I upgraded. I convinced them to spend more money this year and have a more luxurious vacation. They too had food poisoning and were completely disappointed with their entire stay. Their concierge never gave them the service that was required, every day was a battle even with small requests like dinner reservations. Every other day they didn't have hot water or towels. TV didn't also work. Bugs eating the walls leaving dust on the bed. Maid service would come at 9pm. My godmother on her 70th birthday, which was at the end of the vacation, CRIED out of frustration. One of my family members is in a wheel chair. The request was send multiple times by the travel agent and finally got the confirmation but you know what? YOU BOOKED THE ROOM ON THE 2nd FLOOR. Considering that she is not able to walk and you don't have elevators, one with common sense might not put the guest there. We also needed to ask multiple times for a ramp to the room. Again we actually needed to ask multiple times for everything. Went to a few shows. world class entertainment it's not. Which is what they claim. More like 3rd world class. When I booked, I emailed directly to the home site as I could find it online at other websites for less. On home site it clearly states: Lowest online price guaranteed – If you find it cheaper, we will match it and add a 10% discount. So I emailed as I found it cheaper. I should have went elsewhere as looking back, this was my first indicator. After lots of emails back and forth but the final response was here: The way I look at it, we also were screwed and this claim is false advertising. I want a new vacation plus a new digestional track or at the very least, money back on the 10% claim. Here's the proof to them not living up to the price match claim: Hi Edgar, Sorry it took me a minute to get back. Trying to organize a larger traveling party takes time. We are traveling from jan 2-16. Most off the rooms we are looking to book are the junior suite deluxe which is 357.14 USD per night total 4,928.00 on the site that I am looking at now. On your site is 450.85 total 6,589.00 Its a big enough difference. With that said, the other price is something we can book as it is only slightly more than the majestic elegance (where we have previously stayed). Some of our traveling party are more free to book something that is more expensive than others so I am trying to be in the best hotel (in my opinion) in Punta Cana but still please all. Let me know. Nice vacation in a super stylish resort. The paradisus is a very extensive garden oasis with well distributed apartment buildings and several great pools. Had a room with a private garden plus baliliege. Room was stylish furnished with small deductions. Closet befandt in the bathroom (door was through humidity hard to open), but bathroom with double shower (absolute waste of space). In the garden is the baliliege, which nobody really need! Cleanliness and service was absolutely okay. To our time menschenleerer beach with very many free and super nice beach chairs or beds. No reserving of sunbeds. Sometimes at a ... beach section alone all day. Best beach section far and wide. Great! Had all-inclusive which was also very good, everything was very nicely arranged. Were 6 times à-la-carte-meal, super delicious. Especially the mexican restaurant. Very mixed nationalities of all age groups, no much unreasonably on. Negative is the constant questions for timeshare, however always friendly. Excursions were very expensive for a little service. Have a tour (snorkeling with sharks and rays), which wasnt worth the money! Despite the small drawbacks we would very probably go back. read hotel review

I have been to the D.R. quite a number of times and I always end up staying at Paradisus Punta Cana. The resort is really quite lovely but truly, it is the people that work here that makes the resort exceptional. The staff takes great pride in making sure that you as a guest will have a great time. This is an all-inclusive property where your meals and drinks are all included in the cost. The food is wonderful and the bar staff will remember what you are drinking. The resort is expansive with a variety of rooms categories ... available for every budget. The beach is incredible and the food is outstanding. read hotel review

    The junior suites are very spacious and are closer to the beach than the Reserve. You are equipped with a mini-fridge that is stocked with your favorite beverages (water/beer/soft drinks) and each unit has an in-room safe, coffee maker, balcony or patio. The sitting area is quite comforable. The Reserve is an upgrade ($$) from the junior suites and it gives you a bit more room, as well as the use of the Reserve only pool. Lovely units. Royal Service is also available for anyone who wants to be extra-pampered. By staying here, you are given access to several amenties that are exclusive to the Royal Service guests (separate pool and bar area/specialty dining at La Palapa etc.) Well worth the extra money you would spend and these units are the closest to the beach!

    There are now quite a few options available for dining and the food has greatly improved since my first visit in 2008. The food and beverage staff has really stepped it up in the way of preparing and presenting your meals. The New Gabi Beach will serve breakfast/lunch and dinner - every meal here is so very good. ( I really do miss the Rodizzio and El Romantico but the new restaurants are equally as nice! )

    To me. the staff at PPC is by far what makes this property exceptional. The Guest Services manager is a great asset (Mr. N. Perez) and his enthusiasm passes down through each of his employees. The staff is always smiling and willing to help you with whatever you may need. When it comes time for you to leave this resort and your vacation - you will feel that you are leaving your friends behind!! Such a wonderful staff!!! The concierge staff is very courteous and are on hand to assist you with whatever you may need. (Sandra is outstanding!!) The rooms are kept very clean and housekeeping keeps everything very tidy. They work very hard to replace towels and to keep the mini-fridge well stocked with your favorites. The pool and beach runners are very efficient and will make sure that you are never empty handed. They will quickly become your best friends and they will remember your order each time (Love Maiker and Jose Luis!!).

    The beach is most likely, in my opinion, the best in the D.R. Large expanse of white powder sand that goes on for miles. Love the beach!! There is minimal shopping at the resort, but you are never too far to go into town for whatever you need. Ask the front desk and they can assist you in arranging your transport. There are many excursions available to leave the resort for an additional fee - you could zip line or go swim with the stingrays...Scuba/snorkelling/shopping/cultural tours to the coffee and vanilla bean areas...the list goes on and on!!

The resort is huge, but well laid out, mixing in a lot of nature and natural elements among the resort facilities. The rooms are not in one huge hotel, but spread out as part of apartment style buildings, each with it's own tropic privacy. Super clean, due to the constant care of the landscape crews and the housekeeping staff (who are all super friendly and greatly accommodating)! As an All Inclusive - everything is included! Type of other guest is varied; traditionally a European vacation destination, more North Americans are coming every year, and ages range from infants to elderly. read hotel review

    I have stayed in the 'cheap' rooms, 500 sq ft of comfort with all the basics: TV, Stereo, Wi-Fi, stocked frig., large bathroom, coffee bar, safe, telephone great A/C, private porch, etc. I have also stayed in the large 900 sq. ft. Master Reserve Rooms that have all the basics, but at luxury level, with a large jacuzzi tub, 2 TVs, huge bed in a separate room, dining area and living room off the patio. Every room has been exceptional, clean and well cared for (or new).

    Eleven restaurants and nine bars, serving everything; from the exclusive La Palapa, and Chef Berasategui's Passion to the Gabi Beach and Gabi Club, with seemingly everything in between, the food is wonderful! Not quite the 'fast food' most American's may be used to, but all will find much to like from their varied cuisines. Tipping is not required, but as always, appreciated. I usually tip the bartenders and servers a dollar a drink, with an occasional five for great service, and like to drop a twenty to the restaurant managers toward the middle of my stay, as well as a few dollars to housekeeping for the great work they do. I really doubt I get that much better service for my tipping, but I just like to help these friendly, hardworking folks out!

    Paradisus offers any service you may need, but if they didn't have it set up, they would make it happen for you! From the General Manager Eduardo Perera Castro, to the un-named landscapers and beach-comber guys in the green coveralls, everyone always cheerfully continues what has become the excellent personal service that we had come to expect from this fine resort! Our friend, Guest Services Manager Nathaniel Perez is genuinely warm and friendly, and his entire Guest Services staff made us feel that we were not only their best guests, but their ONLY guests! the entire staff, who were warm, helpful, patient, caring, efficient, knowledgeable, and friendly. Most notably were: Sandra Cedeno, Iris, and Geuri, our Concierges; Maiker Ramirez, and Ramon Ramirez, Beach Runners; Adolfo Portes, Beach Bartender; Jose Luis de los Santos, Pool Runner; Miguel our great chef at Gabi Beach; and Kursy and Casimiro, also at Gabi Beach; and our frequent tram driver (and fellow Boston fan), Daniel. Also a special thank you to the Security Officers, they were never obtrusive but were friendly and always attentive.

    Like I stated earlier, I spend most of my time on the beach, because it's the greatest! My friends, Maiker , and Ramon are the best Beach Runners, and they, along with Adolfo P., our Beach Bartender and Jose Luis S., keep me well supplied with any and all refreshments I need! They also have a very popular Spa and Health Club, which has tempted me a few times. I don't think you could think up an activity the resort doesn't offer, but if you did, I'll bet they could find it somewhere!

    Paradisus Punta Cana is built in a lust tropical mangrove forest, and they have done much to keep it as natural and beautiful as possible. The resort is on Bavaro Beach, which is my favorite beach in the Western Hemisphere! Miles of soft white sand that is 100 wide in spots. The Highway built in the last few years, continues bringing the resort closer to the airport. If you pop for the private transfer, you'll be at the Lobby in about 1/2 hour! While I stay pretty much on the beach, there is plenty to do in the way of water/jungle/native excursions, world class golf, and shopping opportunities from 5th Ave to quaint villages.

We fly since 2008 each year in october insparadisus. This year, after reading the negative reviews read, with light stomach pains. But what joy, mr pererahat managed, the hotel a further increase to give. The 'palapa' under the leadership of mr valentin de la hera is einhighlight. The menu is comparable with the one of our first. Lunch will then plus 2 starters or. 2 main dishes were offered. The staff, especially quintina and pink fulfill every wish. The 'passion', what should i write only? The kitchen of martin berasategui is probably one of the best in europe. Also here ... the service ( marilin, francisco, felix, david, gustavo, mariela, manzuela ) friendly, efficient and attentive. The beach, as well as the rooms were clean and beautiful. In the rs reception with enrique and mily one feels himself good abrogated. I could still many new amenities and name, but the place here probably not from. Thank you mr perera and its many staff for the great work, we will thank you for it, by 2014 will come back. read hotel review

    We stayed at the 'palapa', 'passion', 'aqua' and 'grill' eaten. The first two restaurants i already described above. In the aqua we have a lovely trüffelrisotto with camarones kommunistische, cattle and tintenfischcarpaccio eaten. The grill, steak with potatoes, everything from the finest. All of the dishes were for the eyes and tastebuds a treat. We love à-la-carte-restaurants, so i can over buffets not give them a rating.

    The beach with the new chair cushions and new umbrellas are fantastic. The pool in the rs service is clean and lovely to swim in. Towels are plentiful. The tennis courts were in a perfect condition, and the tennis teacher very friendly. Unfortunately, it was always too hot, so that we no dancing lessons with the entertainers in the rs pool could join in. Golf shuttle as each year worked great.     We fly since 2008 each year in october insparadisus. This year, after reading the negative reviews read, with light stomach pains. But what joy, mr pererahat managed, the hotel a further increase to give. The 'palapa' under the leadership of mr valentin de la hera is einhighlight. Also here the service ( marilin, francisco, felix, david, gustavo, mariela, manzuela ) friendly, efficient and attentive. The beach, as well as the rooms were clean and beautiful. In the rs reception with enrique and mily one feels himself good abrogated. I could still many new amenities and name, but the place here probably not from. Thank you mr perera and its many staff for the great work, we will thank you for it, by 2014 will come back.

Ladies and gentlemen From the 16 march 2013 to 30 march 2013 we went on a trip in Karibik. From the 16 march 2013 until 18 march 2013 stayed we in La Romana in 'gran bahia principe', where it pleased us very well. On 18 march 2013 started our ' costa cruise ' for one week, to 25 march 2013. On the 'costa' it pleased us very well. The rooms were beautiful, the service perfect and the excursions super organized. Then it was on monday 25 march 2013 for 5 nights in Dominican Republic to Punta Cana. We booked 5 ... nights at the 'Paradisus Punta Cana'. On arrival on monday afternoon, we were at the front desk not welcomed in a friendly manner. A young gentleman greeted us and offered us at a charge the 'royal service' at. When we thankfully declined, he seemed not any pleasure to have. The whole process was standing, not like used to a hotel such class in sitting. After about 30 minutes, they told us, that we had a moment place to look, as the rooms still to be cleaned. About minutes should the key handed over. We took on the comfortable couches in the lobby place and approved ourselves something cold drink. After about 20 minutes of waiting we asked for the first time after, when our rooms now ready are, finally, the half of the time promised. The young gentleman at the front desk seemed not to care and admonished us, once again to take. After twice inquiring and a whole hour wait, were our rooms eventually agreed. After we our bags in the rooms carried, (despite bags boy) we unfortunately had to see, that the everything but ready for guests is. The floor was dirty, the fridge was turned off and the counter in the bathroom there was not clean. The door to the balcony was not properly to close and it would be not a problem, this from the outside to open. In addition in the bathroom several tiles on the floor so broken, that my friend a wound at the foot tightened ourselves. Well, after the front desk we didn't already again discuss and turned us after the long trip with our hungry stomachs the buffet too. Unfortunately we were not very positive surprised. The selection was relatively small, for such a large five stars resort, since the 'warm food' not really kept warm in the special containers, we decided mainly for salad and bread. After the average dinner, we granted us a drink at the bar and put us to sleep. But sleeping is exaggerated. In the middle of the night started in the stairwell a huge noise from other hotel guests from. This took from 01:00 to 03:30. The mattresses were so worn out, that you got back pain. The positive thing because, in the morning we went very early on and gave us one of the nice beds by the pool reserve for a bit to sleep. General was the complex very beautifully designed, very lots of different plants and well-kept grass gave a perfect picture. What we also liked a great deal, were the beds in the pool region, where you really great relaxing could. The longer the morning, all the more people woke to life, in the afternoon developed the pool area a small party mecca with very many young people the fun had, so quiet and relaxing it was long not more, as far as we not disturb and enjoyed the day. When some of the hunger to work began, turned with me always more collagen stomachache a. A small lunch might help. As the stomachache in the afternoon worse were, i opted for a common dinner and remained the evening in the hotel. My friend complained several times by phone and personally at the front desk, but nothing brought, because the always so is in the easter week. Then he required a conversation with the manager the next morning, we were finally relaxing holidays promised. The conversation was wednesday at 09:00 o'clock the planned. When then at 02:30 o'clock finally peace einkehrte, we could still a little sleep. The next morning still very early, we were looking for the same place as the day before, to us again from the night to relax. Unfortunately, we had to in the meantime already all four people regularly los run around just in time the toilet to reach, all four had strong diarrhea with very unpleasant bauchkrämpfen. Since there were two of us after this mental relaxation again some better went, we could still a bit little at the 24-hour buffet, which by the way really great was made, food. This was followed by the first relaxing night since we the costa had left. The beds were very comfortable, no noisy disco nearby and the stomach cramps with medicines for the time being quietly put. Thus we could the days, apart from the two 'sick' people enjoy. Back in Switzerland, i must make a antibiotics cure start, since the stomach cramps and diarrhea still are not better. Our colleague must also once again to doctor in order to investigate. This holiday a real keepsake left. In any case, we want to, that the 5 paid nights in the ' paradisus' fully refunded will be. We spend a wonderful week this tropical paradise, everywhere there were in this rather extensive grounds, innumerable palms and other prosperous and colourful plants. When we arrived, they told us, that our booked category was fully booked. Fortunately we got suggest a upgrade in the hotel 'the reserve'. The room exceeded all expectations, even a small plate with cold cuts was ready made, since we arrived late evening in the dominican arrived. Our suite was about 70 ... square meters large, with jacuzzi and all the trimmings, all fairly new and with much attention to detail! Unique was also the dinner in the 'Gabi club ', which we because of the upgrades could enjoy. I would like to highlight, in all restaurants ate very well and we have almost all try, (special tip: vento and the grill). Nice sat it is especially at the aqua, since there are here at noon was not so full, as in other restaurants (for example in the Gabi beach). To the previous years in the paradisus Punta Cana after a change in management absolutely disastrous situation! But first some positive things: you have no expense or effort spared, an open-air restaurant by the beach in modern international style exclusive for royal service guests build (the 'la palapa'). Directly adjacent-also absolutely modern design-a large Gabi-beach restaurant (including bar and disco) opened. (a little more caribbean-dominican flair could have been better-but the zeitgeist changes, and the hotel, currently appears to be a uniform european-international style-unfortunately at the expense of the 'dominican soul'). The beach is one of the most beautiful islands ... of the atlantic coast, and for the royal service area reserved section was considerably enlarged and with more sonnenhüten and beds, so that of the chairs-occupancy no bottlenecks occur again. Our butler Juan jimenez, ruddy and Ruben were with distance the best, the globally we've had in a royal service. Also the rest of the royal service staff, as well as the chambermaids were always very friendly and attentive and tried every need from your lips. Particularly enrique garcia, the very experienced old assistant manager of the royal service, can hear all the guests attentive and tried its best, improvements implemented, but mostly on the parent management fails. The beach boys jeremiah, Jose and kelvin always had an eye on everything and walked unwearyingly back and forth, to the guests to fulfill every wish. Also the waiters/inside (Ricardo, quintina, rosabel ) at la palapa for us and the other guests 'a leg peeled itself off '. In short, the way of the staff (from the gardeners, on the cleaning crew, waiters, bartenders, butler, etc.) Is, as in the many years previously, almost perfect (friendly, attentive; they always try to do their best) and nothing to complain. On the other hand, the november/december 2012 inset new management an absolute disaster and totally incompetent, such a large resort such as the paradisus Punta Cana reasonable to lead. Us is completely incomprehensible, as these people in these positions managed to create. The food at la palapa is so costly royal service not at all adequate: beside a small lunch buffet (small more or less cold portions are ridiculously small tellerchen draped, so hot, that one it hardly touch and bring to the table can) gives it at noon always the same menu of hamburgers and sandwiches. Evenings there was also every day always only the same menu with various rodizzio - fleischspießen as a highlight. The meat is mostly totally overcooked, dry and tough. A 'special of the day' or vegetarian dishes you are looking for on the menus in vain. Can one at noon something from the large, quite well stocked buffet in the Gabi-beach get, must then but in a throng queue and the own food relatively far into the la palapa have, what now absolutely not 'royal' is. You can then in the afternoon at the beach, you will not find peace more. The hotel is very beautiful, newly remodeled rooms with all comfort. The staff is very friendly, helpful and attentive. The sea and the beach area always very clean. The whole hotel area with all the flowers and palm trees, very well-kept and always replanting. In this hotel vacation, is pure relaxation. Different restaurants, all super, always fresh and varied. The hotel has about 700 rooms, but in the large palmenpark very spread out well. Condition and cleanliness the room are ok. Inclusive services are the customer wishes. Very honored women and men, After a few days of our trip to Punta Cana we have chosen a claim for reimbursement of a portion of the paid price for the journey to assert. We have completely aware a hotel from their 'premium' gallery booked, to really a relaxing and carefree time in a pleasant atmosphere to spend. -as your slogan and your promised, and we have already some travel with three stars. We were prepared again making appropriate to pay and rely on, the three stars with a 'premium' -offer a certain standard in this class holds.     We play in 2 weeks vacation 6 times golf in the cocotal club, the wonderful 27 holes. There is a free shuttle bus(we give per drive 2 American dollars). the green-fee is free, only the drinks you have to pay(per person 36 US dollars) Furthermore, we have 6 xTennis (also in the price inclusive), only in the evening the light pay. Unfortunately we never managed, a dance class to visit, that a great shame is, because in the evening in the main bar beautiful Caribbean music to be heard. We as royal service guests have a private beach section with service and private pool bar. The quality of the water of the pools will every day controlled. There is sun screens with a large lounger and 2 sun loungers. All employees try the beach clean to keep, but unfortunately there are very many 'piglet' as guests.

For the larger distances in the complex a shuttle bus-service to the bungalows, pool, beach, restaurants and the lobby offered. To the airport there are about 35 minutes by car. Options for shopping are either directly at the shops in the hotel or outside in Punta Cana ( for example in the shopping center Plazza bavaro- about 15 minutes on foot ). In the place are also numerous restaurants, bars and clubs. Excursions for example to Santo Domingo, saona, aqua park (swimming with dolphins ) etc. can directly in the hotel be booked.

As the title says, it this hotel was in good memory. From check in to the check out we were in good hands. "The reserve" I have enjoyed it very much. Everything very modern and luxurious. The staff were all very nice and helpful. The concierge was our needs very well received. The other resort area outside of the reserve is my first impression. A variety of gardeners, for example to maintaining the huge grassy areas looked after every day. Because of the size of the resort, 24 hours a day run within the complex small buses which the guests ... to its objectives. There were signs at any time of trash in the area, everything is well maintained. The gastronomic selection is also nothing to complain about - there is something for every taste. The all inclusive service is also very good. The guest a variety of activities to choose from, of course all free of charge. Much contributions report noisy and disturbing music. I booked this phenomenon looking in vain. The music isn't too noisy or disturbing. All in all, I can say, that the PPC a very nice, well maintained, ultra-modern hotel with really good service and ammenities. Highly recommended. read hotel review
