The hotel is definitely in a great condition. It somewhat older was already often mentioned, but in spite of the age the hotel is and the garden very well-kept. Free wi-fi for 500 Rupees for the entire length of stay. Safe is free in the room, tv also (but we didn't use them, so we can't say anything about the programs say). The guests are predominantly french, but also germans, russians, and swiss were on site. From the age rather upscale or families with small children. read more

    We had a superior room booked and were very satisfied. The room was quite large, in terms of the facilities everything was there, what we needed. Which us however was missing was a kettle/ coffee maker. Fridge and safe were available, as of course the air conditioning, and a ceiling fan. The bathroom was large enough with double sinks and clean.

    There's a restaurant and a bar. Every evening there was a theme buffet, mostly with local dishes (an evening italian buffet). The food was really very tasty and there is something for everyone. The breakfast is good, there is only one type of cold cuts/cheese, but the was okay for us (one is finally on a small island and everything has to be on the route!). You have the possibility order eggs cooked to order, as well as pancakes and waffles. Fresh fruits and yogurt were also available.

    The friendliness was unbeatable, everyone is really friendly and nice. Wishes are fulfilled and if you need assistance, is someone on the spot. But you should speak english, then one has no problems. The room was every day and has been well done.

    We didn't use the pool, why also with the great ocean?! It will be at the boathouse many water sports like for instance water skiing, surfing or snorkelling. What we liked was, that one small sailboats (laser) could be borrowed and even sailing could, provided of course that you can sailing! These offers were free, there is also more pay offers such as trips to go deep sea fishing, but this we didn't use. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available, unfortunately also here the reserve won. At full occupancy of the hotel it could become scarce, but we always got.

    The location is unbeatable. Behind the ortseingangsschild of perebeye on a great beach. The center grand baie is with the taxi for circa 150 Rupees to reach. Within walking distance is a small supermarket to reach. Bus stop in right in front of the hotel.

The three stars hotel captivates primarily because of its location on a gorgeous sandy beach, the here the bathing completely without bathing shoes allows. Another big plus is the beautifully designed and lavish well-kept garden, in which one almost like a botanical garden feel. Approximately 170 rooms are in a triple-style complex. The oldest and the best at the landscape customized house is the square with an inner garden and pond designed neighboring house, which at the nähesten to the sea is. There is also the main building, one unfortunately considerable architectural dreadfulness and the newer in the rear part ... of the hotel bungalows, which somewhat größéren comfort facilities to offer and much more pleasant are built. The rooms the oldest hotelteils as well as appropriately furnished. Everything has gotten a bit old, especially the bathroom fittings. But it worked and was especially very clean. At the beach there were beach chairs and umbrellas for free use. This shall be adopted in accordance with the usual manner already shortly after sunrise with beach towels occupied, which you at the Bootshaus and to your hearts content there could change. At the beach some including water sports, water skiing, paddleboat and so on. The hotel is great. The beach simply brilliant! From and we had a problem loungers but was also reasonable. Very annoying were the beach salesmen, the all couple minutes arrived and wanted to sell you something. At the beach we have a speedboat tour and catamaran tour these are not recommendable! The neither the food the planning are worth the money. Then rather on the responsible tour operator book. The room was cleaned daily and the mini bar refilled. The food has itself after a week repetitive and was sometimes hard to get used to. In the reason we had ... super great 2 weeks also in any case be worth it repeat and would love to return in the merville beach! read more

The hotel has a very pleasant size with 170 rooms. There was already multiple times, that it is one of the oldest hotels in the island is, but again and again renovated and especially very clean. We were in january there, the weather was very good, had however on the last two days with a zyklonausläufer to do, making bathing and especially water sports limited, because the sea extremely busy was. In the hotel are mainly french, some british, russians and germans. read more

    Our room was in the main building and was more than adequate. All rooms have a partial view of the ocean, the depending on the location also been through a palm covered, but who cares. As the main building is already a bit older, here and there also a wear to see, such as for example the large mirrors in the bathroom or the door, but for us not a problem we are just on other things value, how cleanliness and balcony and therefore for us it was everything perfect. The mini bar and air conditioning worked well, we have our drinks from the supermarket in the minibar cooled, it didn't disturb anyone, which we very pleasant felt.     The main restaurant is to the sea and pool open, a very nice atmosphere to the food. For the theme buffets in the evening one gives themselves large trouble and it all tasted very good. Brilliant is the evening salad buffet with many different prepared salads from about seafood, chicken, meat and fruit. So many with love prepared salads we experienced still in no hotel. Just as large and delicious is also the selection of desserts, since one must become already sometimes together, so that even after the holiday the pants fit. The breakfast is not so varied, very french style, was not our cup of tea, but that should not be a criticism, because adequate, it was always with eggs in of any type, fresh fruit and several types of bread (unfortunately no rolls) but a lot of cake, 2 sorts of cheese, 1 sort of sausage and of course a sufficient cereals and joghurtecke.

    The service in the hotel has been very bad, in our opinion a bit overrated. There were all very helpful and efficient, but the friendliness we have in Asien far better. With the german language you can't really far, so at least a little english is therefore appropriate.

    Phenomenal in this hotel is inclusive the offer for water sports. Daily with the galsbodenboot for snorkelling out to the reef, water skiing, pedal boats, sailing, kayaking and windsurfing, daily in sufficient number available. Beach chairs and umbrellas at the beach were partly scarce, since the hotel at our time was fully booked. There had the loungers at the beach (if you wanted a shady spot catch) already in the morning to 8:00 a. m. with towels reserved-a bit annoying was the already. By the pool however, you always found free chairs, but we didn't, since we rather in the sea baden, understandable in 28 °c water temperature.

    The location of the hotel is great, very nice clean beach with reef. Northern section better (fine sand) and for children adequate. Restaurants and supermarket in 5-10 minutes in the direction grand baie on foot distance. The public bus runs almost right in front of the doorstep from, however only until evening 8:00 p. m. and cost for 2 persons to grand baie about 50 cents, so very good value for money.

Almost no animation. Sport is daily on the program ( stretching, yoga, fitness) but practically non-existent, because nobody cares. No games or other activities, all just paper tigers. A shame. read more

The merville beach is a very nice hotel in an ideal location with a dream beach, very nice, spacious rooms and also very good food. There is a world-class water activities, the mostly even inclusive is (for example 2 times daily water skiing and much more). The staff is very friendly, the rooms are clean.     We had a superior room on the ground floor with a terrace, close to from the beach (507). The was ideal. The room was spacious and very nicely furnished in the style typical of the region and always clean. Fit in the safe even the iPad and the rest, so purely can. There were enough closets. The air conditioning works good and reasonably quiet. On the television there are stops only a german transmitter; but we were not there to watch tv here; it was not bad for us. For a small fee-about 8 €for 20 days - you get wi-fi in the whole hotel and at the beach.

    There were daily changing food, mostly buffets with a certain slogan, like for instance italian, caribbean, mauritanian and so on, very attractively presented. There was always fish and different types of meat as main course, salad bar and a variety of side dishes, all freshly prepared. We always found enough and everything tasted very good. Definitely recommendable is all-inclusive! The wine and the mauritian beer are ok, there is also very good bottled wines ; against an extra charge. In the afternoon you can for example milkshakes or crepes enjoy; evening cocktails, lots of them the all-inclusive package. In the morning there was a rich buffet. Recommendation: Absolutely all inclusive walkest; then you need not the price of drinks kick and the mini bar %blank%.

    The service is perfect! This applies to the front desk, the restaurant, the Bootshaus (water sports), the room service and everything else. The staff speaks english, naturally french and a little german; certainly also a few russian. The rooms are cleaned daily, one gets daily fresh towels. We stayed christmas and new year's eve and there were often a small present. From the manager to the gardener; all people are friendly and help, where it only goes. But always applies here: as one called in the forest, so it echoes out.

    The leisure time offers in the wassersportbereich are outstanding. Where please can you twice daily free water skiing? This snorkelling, glass bottom boat, canoeing, pedal boats and sailing. The organization to: ideal! The beach is wonderful. The pool is nice. For children a small program (treasure hunts, games, etc.). For adults there are for example cycling to cap malheureux etc. Beach chairs are abundant. By the pool there are not so many, but usually sufficient. At the beach you find the whole day still which.

    The location is very good. A couple of minutes on foot after grand baye. There, there are all kinds of shops, a couple bars and restaurants and a super-u. The shops are - as everywhere on Maritius - quite expensive (for example bikini about 90 €). Exception is the super-u, but prices like in germany. Some attractions are really close by (for example cap malheureux). Port Louis is by bus or taxi easy to reach. A bus stop is directly at the hotel entrance, taxis frequent or you ordered one at the front desk. Restaurants outside we didn't try out, as all-inclusive.

For a three stars hotel an excellent hotel. The hotel is already somewhat older, which one with closer inspection to see. But the vacation is not affected. At the standard rooms in the main building is the hallway very badly soundproofed. This was a bit annoying. The service of the hotel was excellent. It was very rarely, that one (10 minutes) to its drinks had to wait. For dinner stands for each evening another büfetthema on the program; however repeated this week to week. All together we ate in the merville beach felt very comfortable and would definitely stay there ... again. read more

Maritius is truly a gem. Beach, palm trees and always beautiful weather. But you should not Maritius with normal standard compare. One was always endeavors us to do everything right, but Maritius is outside the hotel poor. The average wage is there 350 Euro. So even with less satisfied and this country as it is to enjoy. read more

We had in the main building a very large room - the furniture is quite old, but everything is clean and the really friendly staff makes every sticking drawer 3 once again more than made up for it! The food is simple times ( we had the half board) and the prices in the hotel are very reasonable. ' inside tip': next to hotel beach is often a small speedboat. The owner - Robert - is very good connectivity and white actually always, where the dolphin sojourn. If you really dolphin want to see, go with Robert ( see photo)! read more

Price-performance is okay. Staff very helpful and friendly! From here you can in Europa only dream. Would not hesitate to go back. 3.5 stars clearly too deep rated. Hotel is outdated. The bungalows very nice and clean and cared for environment. read more

The hotel is one of the oldest on the island and the atmosphere is despite 170 rooms very easy going. There is a main building with 4 floors, the central in the middle the hotel is close to pool, restaurant and bar. Otherwise a side building with superior rooms and a great, grown in garden and the deluxe room in the bungalows. It were a lot of french people, English, italians, some russians, German and other nationalities since-so very mixed. You can half board or all inclusive book. read more

    We had a superior room and were very satisfied. This rooms are very quiet and have a great garden. Depending on where the room is, one has a beautiful view of the sea. It was big enough and in the bathroom there were 2 washbasin and a bath tub with possibility to shower. Deluxe beachfront rooms are both in the main building, as well as in the side building, have a great view of the sea and sun loungers. The standard rooms in the main building have, if you far the front of the hotel beach chairs, also a beautiful lateral view of the sea, the building is ok, but it can get a bit noisy. The bungalows are also very beautifully designed, it was 2 units on the ground floor with a terrace and sun beds, and 1 unit on the 1st floor with sun loungers. However one, if the bungalow right at the back lies, no view of the sea, the only the first two rows. The rooms are all not brand-new anymore, but were to our taste colorfully decorated.     The restaurant is really great - half open and you can choose, if you sit inside or in a semi open area nearby stage and bar or on the terrace directly at the pool. Every evening there was another büfetthema (mauritian/cosmopolitan/grill/Italian/indian/chinese/mediterranean). The selection was always very big ( one must bear in mind, that it is a three-star hotel acts). In all-inclusive was included: drinks to eat and at the bar from to o'clock - here were the all inclusive-drinks in the card with an asterisk. It is about three-quarters all cocktails in all-inclusive included in the price. Without all inclusive cost the cocktails circa 7 Euro. At noon there are food a la carte - that means you can either the menu order (choice of 3 main courses) or for example a salad, a sandwich, toast or burger with fries etc. Food. The wonderful bar is directly at the beach. Saturday there is always the possibility, with a lobster-food at the beach to participate. The atmosphere is great, however the prices are for this way too high recognized.

    The service was top class - starting from great reception with a welcome drink and wet towels. All service in the restaurant were extremely accommodating, had always a smile on the lips, bring the guests to a free table, the guest even the plates, if one it well stocked from the buffet returns...! All change easy french to English and vice versa-with these two languages so, if you came easy to navigate. fazal from the Bootshaus even spoke very good German-also here were all very friendly and knew after a few days our name and room number by heart.

    The pool is centrally located between restaurant terrace and beach - looked good, but we never used him. There is also a children's pool.     The hotel is one of the oldest on the island and the atmosphere is despite 170 rooms very easy going. There is a main building with 4 floors, the central in the middle the hotel is close to pool, restaurant and bar. Otherwise a side building with superior rooms and a great, grown in garden and the deluxe room in the bungalows. It were a lot of french people, English, italians, some russians, German and other nationalities since-so very mixed. You can half board or all inclusive book.

    The location is excellent - directly at a very nice bay-there is a long beach section. Otherwise you are in 10 to 15 minutes after grand baie run, where there is everything, what your heart desires. However it will evenings very fast dark and then the walk through the partly which are missing path a bit dangerous. You can but also easily a cheap taxi. From the airport we are to the hotel 1 hour 15 minute drive. Many excursions the island are located in the south-west (chamarel with water fall and siebenfarbiger earth/tamarin with the side dolphin trips/holy lake grand bassin, etc.) - this is the only fly in the ointment, that these objectives quite long on the way is, because you always through Port Louis drive must, which in the morning and evenings long congestion means.

Have 2 wonderful weeks spent in this hotel. Atmosphere, friendliness, willingness to help and cleanliness were great. The food was varied and for any taste was always something for everyone. We had all-inclusive and were very satisfied so had not a problem with the nevertheless rather high drink prices. The location and the hotel of the hotel are exceptionally beautiful. The free of charge water was great. The hotel has the three stars deserves, although it safe has gotten a bit old. And in which hotel you can free of charge to call home, as often as you wanted. It ... would be desirable however, if certain documents and instruction also in German available would make. However we can fully recommend the hotel. read more

All reviews in relation to hotel, friendliness, food, hotel complex, sporting activities and so on I agree with fully. But primarily, I am in favor of a beach vacation to Maritius flown. Who this beaches on the island as gorgeous luguru, has never dreamlike beaches seen. That was our 50 umpteenth Urlaubsfernreise and I have to say, worse beaches I have nowhere on the world seen. We were always on the search after what beautiful, but everywhere these Lavabrocken at least after 2 meters from the beach in the water. Seaweed is unpleasant, sea urchins are painful and stonefish ( ... the is there) are deadly. Now to the prices in the hotel: 1 beer (0. 2 liter)= 5 euros, 1 glass pineapple juice = 4 euros, 1 water = 3 euros, 1 cup coffee = 3. 60 Euro Alternatively all inclusive for 40 euros per person and day. We had extra Grand Baie booked, over also times evenings in the place to go. We were. There is plenty bars, restaurant and so on but absolutely nothing loosely around 20:30 ~ 9:00 P. M. Totally dead, because the beverages there is not much cheaper, there were also hardly guests. Also there is a beer 0. 5 liter up to 11 Euro. Also the excursions on Maritius I found with 100 euros per person plentifully overpriced, since the island actually not much comfort. There is a good word for: rip-off! Never, had I more regret it, than there, a 3 weeks vacation booked. Otherwise always 3a 4 weeks. Maritius in the Indian ocean and Jamaica in Karibik lives of their own exotic name, not stops, what it promises. As get the name' pharmacy ' a brand new Importance. In short for us: the next time for about 1 third less money back to the real dream beaches in South-East Asien. Also the hotels are for the price, you Maritius paid, lot more luxurious and friendly and nice, the people there also. read more

However one of the best three star hotels the island on one of the most beautiful beach sections. Great for snorkeling and for water sports such as water skiing (free of charge). Every day 2 times snorkeling excursions with the glass bottom boat to the reef. Good starting point for excursions, taxis are cheap (looking for a Toyota for calodyne sur Mer, the taxi driver very pleasant - I have unfortunately forgot his name.), you can however also with the regular bus to Port Louis or the botanical garden. Every day there were fresh fruits ( Passion fruit, pineapple ..., papaya, small bananas, melons etc.), always freshly cut. The fitness studio is quite small, but OK. We had a superior room with a view of the sea in the side building, which recommendable is. The side building is beautiful and quiet as the main building, the' normal' double rooms are. There were always enough chairs and sun screens available and you could always the towels change, if you wanted. We had the half board, what was completely sufficient. 5 minutes away is a supermarket, where you drinks shopping. A fridge is in the room. Something to excursions: swim with dolphins recommend with Dolswim, as this is the animals not hunt. That means the word welfare or something! A catamaran tour Ile de Gabriel is recommendable, as well as a trip to the botanical garden or vanilla crocodiles park. The church on the CAP de malheureux one comes by bike very good, just at the front desk questions. Oh and another tip: there is a library with really great current reading material, so you will need no books to lug. We were last in a 4, five star hotel and frightened, drawbacks, because the hotel but much more expensive-the fear was unfounded: this hotel could easily keep up! read more

Merville beach a beautiful hotel, by us to - until the departure very comfortable. All hard-working very in order the guests. There was no problem with pool chairs. Drinks or pizza you get at the beach serves. Pedalo, glass boat, waterski are inclusive. Bus station hundred meters from the hotel. Banana Club delicious cocktails and live music is in around 10 minutes away on foot to reach, as well as the supermarket. Excursions are also by taxi possible, but without explanation. For dinner at the men long pants required, the women came partly with clothes, which gave it all a ... fine atmosphere -very nice in time no swimwear, muscle shirt and flip-flops to see. Alternating themed buffet and evening entertainment were also good. The service and the friendliness of the staff was very good and provided for a very nice and relaxed vacation. read more
