We will come for years one time a year to the hotel astenblick and feel there every time thoroughly comfortable. Especially we like the friendly, personal and informal atmosphere and the food in the 'pasha's'. We have the self-managed hotel friends already been recommended. read more

In the center of Winterberg located hotel. Size of the room/bathroom ok - bed dito. Clean and tidy. If you at the minustemperaturen the heater turned on-surely well. Breakfast well arranged. We stayed with a hiking group 'rothaarsteig' in the hotel astenblick. That was a real experience, excellent hotel with beautiful rooms and a kitchen, the correct was. As you could feel, that 'attention' was cooked. Every detail really great. Sauna in the basement is included, two daily hour for all of the guest, apart from that after reservation privately. Positive: sauna was heated up, there were different candles lit, towels etc. Lay on the chairs ready. Various flavors for the apology, pleasant background music. read more

    Breakfast proposes many other four star hotels, scrambled egg / omelet is freshly prepared, sparkling wine for breakfast - what else could you want. The restaurant in the house ( pasha) was already award-winning, reasonably priced easily over the Winterberg average but of the quality and from also above average ( kitchen without microwave and the freezer).

Very beautiful room, very good service. Possibilities for recreation in the area very versatile. Top -breakfast. Very recommendable. Unfortunately we could the sauna didn't use it, since this must be reserved in advance, and already was occupied (would be better, if you for example half hour life would lessen, so that all the guests the sauna can use). read more

Very nice hotel. We did stay for a bicycle holiday. They were very helpfull to give information and service and to store our bikes. Rooms are clean, big and have all necessaires. Only my WC was not functioning well which could not be solved during my stay. Food is excellent. Is like a Michellin star restaurant. Very friendly and helpfull staff. read more

I drive since many years in the 'astenblick' and will in the next years ago my short break spend. I enjoyed the few days, I without my husband, could spend. 1 to 2 times in the year wish I a wonderful peace, the informal atmosphere and the special tasty food. To our golden wedding, the hotel management, because my husband I pick you up, we are a very special dinner as a surprise served. read more

I am for 3. the time. It is just as my booked package' take a break from everyday life '. The breakfast buffet is rustic and diverse. Egg dishes are only at the table offered and also only prepared, which I had very much great think. The rooms are somewhat outdated, but I say once typical of the country furnished. Nevertheless very clean. We were 5 days since, and it was in this period even changed what I could not have. The hotel lies almost in shopping area, you have forgotten something there there is nearly everything. The bus ... station is 2a 3 minutes, away. It runs however only every hour. Highlight is for me every time the 4-course candelight dinner. A benefit to the power of ten, and a feast for the eyes. The chef himself cooks with ingredients which at the time of year are. Really important without flavor enhancer and other terrible stuff. If you are very lucky, sits the boss after working in the piano and still have a bit to the best. After the meal it is often still on the table and chats with the guests, what him very personable power. The staff are but no less hard. Nearly each desire is fulfilled. All together: I am coming again. In any case! read more
