Clean although they fumigated while we where there

Food was generally inedible. Very concerned about how well food was cooked and quality of prepared foods. Recommend getting the special or something that is immediately prepared for you rather than something that might be sitting. Food temperature usually cold to luke warm. Number of restaurants and bars is adequate - drinks are very watered down.

Staff friendly and helpful. Room clean and made up early every day.

We were there on a golf vacation and so were off property a fair amount to play golf. Beach at the Cayena Beach club is very nice, beautiful water. Plenty of seating - chairs comfortable. Lots of shade

Rooms were spacious although very old - old kitchenette with no microwave - did have an inroom fridge. Shower curtain rusty and coming down, tub leaked. The place needs a major upgrade. Only four king sized bed units on the propety so had to sleep in queens. Flat screen TV in room. No extra ammenities, for example robes in the room would have been nice.

Reasonable good location within 35 minutes of airport. Was off property to play golf. Make sure you tell taxi drivers to take the highways rather than old roads - saves lots and lots of time.

Our apartment met our needs. It was clean, well air-conditioned, and well positioned for a good view at the front and the side of the buidling. On entry, there is a small entry-room that was equipped with large shelf with a hot-water heater for heating hot drinks, that are funished, like tea or coffee (sugar and powdered cream) that are replenished daily. Glasses are also available. It had two beds and a large-screen TV with mostly Spanish channels, and a few USA channels like CNN, FOXNEWS, ABC, and CBS and some shows and movie channels with Spanish/English translation-text available on some. There's a sliding door between the bedroom and the adjacent living room, that has a stuffed sofa and chair, as well as a desk and chair. An older TV is also available in a cabinet. Two sets of large closets to hang or store your bags; it also came with an iron and ironing board---and about a dozen clothes hangars --- some have clips to hang pants by the feet. There's a small refrigerator stocked with sodas, beer, water and replenished. (Ask for your choices, as applicable.) There is a small safe available in the closet, that can be opened with your room keys (i.e. magnetic cards.)

The L-shaped hotel is near the International "Miramar" Buffet offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and offers many entrees for each meal. The food is well prepared, tasty, and plentiful. There are numerous other restaurants within easy reach and available to meet most guests' palates. For those who like more than buffet-style and food, there are two other restaurants under the same roof, that specialize in either Italian food and another adjacent restaurant that serves an International fare. Another restaurant that is more pool-side than the others, has indoor and outdoor tables, and has a bar; this one is more "casual" dress and serves foods like hot dogs, hamburgers, and pizzas, with outsde seating also, with a view of the lasgest pool on the property. All restaurants are within a 5-10 minute walk from your hotel---of course depending on your pace---and beatiful views---along the way!

The Office Staff is OUTSTANDING; efficient, courteous and friendly. "Ezecheal" is beyong reproach; he appears to love his job, and he does all he can to patiently answer questions, provide advice and recommendations, and help in any way to make guests feel comfortable and satisfied with their stay at this hotel. He's blessed with a great personality and speaks fluently in Spanish, English, and French---he even offers an orientation for new guests and serves as "Master of Ceremony" for the new-guests at the evening pool party, by moderating the evening, and singing and dancing. We also think very highly of the other Office Staff members who are all friendly, patient, and polite, especially Barbara, and both Melanies. The cleaning and the maintenance staff are also very professional and friendly, and do a great job in each of their areas.

We did attend some shows at the theater, and did some shopping in the nearby shops. Want to try your luck! Check out the Casino which is by the main entrance---and about a 10-15 minute walk from the place you first came into the property (where the taxis, busses, and trucks load and unload guests.) Much of our time was spent at the pool nearest the hotel. There are lounge chairs contained on the deck (under some shade) as well as tables and chairs (or benches) at the restaurant and bar. Great service and friendly people abound---and it's also a great place to meet and mingle with people from other countries. If you prefer the beach, it's a matter of a few feet away from there. Swim in the surf, take a walk on the beautiful beach, or lounge in the sun or shade while having a drink --- or two!

The Cayena Beach Hotel is in excellent condition, and is kept clean and tidy by the staffs. It's very well located near the beach and pool/restaurant/bar.

Our third-floor, 4-room apartment had a beautiful panoramic view of the ocean, as well as the nearby pool/bar/restaurant There are shops and game rooms with an adjacent theater where stage shows are presented, normally at 9:30 PM. The Calypso Bar and Disco Ballroom are nearby for more fun and entertainment. Head North on the Beach and you'll find what could be refered to as the "beach mall!" Many vendors and shops are connected and stretch out for about a quarter mile, directly on the beach. Here you can find lots of Dominican Repulblic and Punta Cana "souvenirs," as well as other selections like paintings, casual clothes, and trinkets galore. (Hint: Prepare to barter!) We thoroughly enjoyed a day on a "Punta Cana 'Safari'" by signing up for a Bavaro Runners' excursion; it was lead by a local guides named "Monchey" and the truck-driver "Jony." About 20 guests (from other hotels also) rode in an open-sided safari-type truck took us through the city of Bavaro where we visited the local "jungle" to view and experience various processes of how sugar, coffee, and cacao are harvested and processed, while visiting with a local woman's home and property. We also viewed a professional cigar-maker at work, and visited a small adjacent cigar store. All of us went to eat a buffet at the base of the mountains (where the coffee beans are harvested) and had lunch while local musicians entertained us. We later visited a local elementary school and completed the day with a stop at a beach area for a dip and/or purchase some more souvenirs.

Already getting old, but still ok. ; everything is available, that you need. Lateral view of the sea is very nice, since one large parts of the bavaro good can see. Even with two extra beds in the size of the room still big enough.

We have breakfast and lunch-with a exception a comparison the arena blanca-always in cayena own restaurant el cano taken. Wonderful located with direct view of the see. Somewhat limited choice at the breakfast, but the quality was great and for our needs more than enough. Recommendable lunch à la carte in the el cano. High completely different than the average buffet at the arena blanca. Unfortunately, that the cocktails partly. From the tube will be.

In cayena beach immaculate. During dinner in the neighboring vik arena blanca rather not particularly good.

There is entertainment in cayena not-in the arena blanca taken into account are. Beach and pool brilliant. Loungers were end of August/ beginning September never an issue. Clean, already somewhat older complex. For dom. -republic-standards with about 50 rooms extremely manageable-but that is exactly what we were looking for. Multicolored mixed guest structure with 'repeat offenders' - especially in connection with the offered time-sharing.

With the best condition section on total bavaro. From the room no minute to to the pool respectively beach. Absolutely ideal location. Will never understand, why the excursions in the dom. -republic of such overpriced are. 99 American Dollar for Saona on the travel guide is very steep. There are over the beach vendors cheaper, but...

Restaurant and bars was okay well maintained.

Staff as far as they understood was friendly. In the restaurant also very friendly. Laundry worked well... Only with complaints well uS unfortunately on the guide leave the everything played down has. A lot just normal. For example the room to us shit stank, cold water, above... There were no repairs for us but one remains on the ball... If the staff a brain hard-working they have somehow however well.

So animation we have morning until evening nothing aware of that since we always at the beach were. Evenings the shows were noticeable only to the shows started it was very loud, there was a message made music untwisted 3 people or 4 on dance around went 30 sek. Long (I thought it was a rumgehopse and understood the point why the always so expired is?) and then again a message and again music to dance around... It was then around 10 to 15 every evening and extremely loud. Am mostly with a squeak in the ear to bed. If you further away set has you unfortunately not much of the show saw... Beach and pool as mentioned nice...

The complex was outside very well maintained but had construction noises. The rooms as far as completely normal furnished only of the toilet-area a bit too small. The cleanliness was more or less fine but still in the corridor hair I float around seen. The food was rather one-sided on fruit there was only up to 5 types of and that was it. It was almost only spanish spoken and English... People our Russian friends were very present. Also many Amerika...

Beach was great you must say since we at the beach club was our beach section great. Shops well left the beach along a few beach cottages not more, and the still everything overpriced... People you must always half the price! Entertainment possibilities as all beach also... Banana boat, parasailing, etc.. Of course a little overpriced. Excursions you could as with the tour operator however also at the beach book which naturally better with the tour operator is...

the room was big and had 2 large beds, 2 large closets balcony, Sitting area, desks, LCD TV, hair dryer, bath tub or Jacuzzi, ceiling fan and air conditioning, Mini-fridge. The furniture was already a bit getting old and partly in need of renovation, but it was all right. So the corner a little peckig ( stains), fridge didn't work properly, hair dryer dirty, bath tub damaged, a closet smelled musty. But no things, the unacceptable and we didn't complained. Ultimately one is also only for sleeping, toilet and bath in the room.

The main restaurant is the buffet- restaurant Miramar, in the middle the complex. Here can breakfast, lunch and dinner to be taken. varied, but took some getting used to, as breakfast American, so rolls and reasonable sausage etc. in vain. The table-Ware was not always definitely cleanly rinsed and in the food we even a rubber band found. The coffee pots have already better Days, but as already mentioned is the hygiene not in Germany comparable. furthermore there are for the cayena- guests, the possibility breakfast and lunch (a la carte) at El Cano directly at the beach/ pool evenings, it was very good. for dinner you could also in 2 à la carte restaurant (international & Italian) visit, in the Italian no pizza is?! drinks you got everywhere on the grounds. In a Caribbean country had of course you fresh juice and cocktails expected, unfortunately these consist of only concentrates in large cans-a shame. The only water from the tap is not drinkable, but you get every meal drinking water, we no longer had, after slight stomach problems had, a further family verfuhr exactly.

the staff were always friendly and some could also somewhat German, like for instance at the front desk the Cayenas . for the food then also selbststänig new drinks brought. Individual guests have been warm welcomes, roughly by tips caused, but not be expected. cleaning of the rooms daily and was all right. towels for the beach you get when checking in, the one at any time can be exchanged.

You could play tennis, fitness, table tennis, Kayak and so on make. animation there was just by the pool the arena Blanca, this was quite large and not too crowded. The cayena has its own beautiful pool, the cleaned daily -but if you have such a beach has... Annoying was the evening inserted animation from a neighboring hotel, the was relatively loud and in the room still heard was, against midnight but past.

One thing I said at the beginning- you are not allowed forget, that you are in a country of the third world and is therefore the hotel not with German Standards comparisons must. The cayena is situated on the eastern edge of the complex, on which also the arena Blanca has. The building is 3-storied, whereby 3 Times 3 rooms directly to the sea addressed, the rest of the rooms have lateral view of the sea. the guests were mostly over 50 and German, but also Americans, French and Spanish were in cayena, also lots of regular guests. The cayena is 2 ways to reach, but it will be argued, that only access for cayena- guests is (wristband with hölzchen has spoilt), and all kept.

the hotel one reaches CIRCA 30 minutes Bus Ride from the airport, and it is located right on the fantastic beach of bavaro. If you the beach each right and to the left along marches, we can see, that the section of Cayenas the most beautiful. The section is only for cayena- guests, Couches-or problems does not exist. (The German Phenomenon towelLoungers-reservation there are nevertheless.) the beach was flat, the water very pleasant, clean and of course the incomparable Turkish Color. Memory and so on you can in the entrance area the complex buy, where the prices clearly excessive. We went to a store picked up, the a German operates, CIRCA 10 minutes from the hotel (the travel guide locally recommended). excursions in the tour operators be booked locally-tours hinterland, to islands, Santo Domingo, etc. inserted showers are short and productive, afterwards but it seems the sun came out again.
