We were more than pleasant surprised and felt like in paradise. Starting at staff, the us completely cared, on the cleanliness the ' tents' and bathroom, the restauranthaus, the to stay a while invited, the fantastic food court for lunch and the excellent food.
The location of the camp is just heavenly call - directly at a waterhole, where for our stay over a hundred elephants back yard, zebras, baboon, giraffes, hippos and antelopes.
The tents are semi-circle-shape around the waterhole laid out and you can from the terrace, even from the bed of the animals.
We would have everything ... already had known, we would have more day in camp scheduled. The camp and the staff there really warmly recommend! read more

The tents are already a bit dated and very simple, however functional decorated. They are all overlooking the water holes and one must say, that this sight for the somewhat old tents and decor more than made up for that. We wished we could have stayed longer. read more

We spend beginning december two nights in satao camp, since we the half-day east-tsavo safari booked. There are 17 tents, including one or two deluxe speech, where the furnishings still a bit higher than in the ' normal ', that means it is a fridge available, the whole day there are warm water and the bathroom has a real door instead of zip and bath to offer. The standardzelte us but also already speechless, so great we had not expected! Even the toilet missing not! I had on earth closet in bush thought. There is the whole day electricity that ... means light and fan in the tent, and mosquito repellent and a flashlight for the evening way to/from the restaurant is there.
The camp offers a restaurant with a bar, a perch, from which the waterhole good watch, and a fire pit, in the evening around the campfire can sit.
And now clear: we were in our safarigruppe three couples and on the first evening even alone in the camp. We then (typically german just-o during dinner together tried, things to find, which will take you into the camp can complain about. There came so things with around as 'the water from the wassersack was great hot, you also? ' conclusion: we found nothing, what really reason to complaint would have been, so much we tried. No hair in the soup! For us was in those days really everything perfect! The staff were without exception really friendly, we felt like we were on hands carried, every wish was fulfilled. Everyone worked really hard, us the stay as beautiful as possible to make. Tip gave you are not right, but in a tip box in the restaurant, so that each from the staff some of them got, the cooks or the 'chartered monkey-person shooter' (so called the men, the monkeys with flitschen the restaurant far held), or the night watchman, the always were to the place, if you from the tent somewhere else wanted (also without flashlights-wag).
The food was one of the highlights here! Both quality, as well as quantity. The breakfast was great with all the bells and whistles, afternoons and evenings you got by map the possibility its menu even together. Went from soup, salad, warm starter and main course with side dishes to the dessert. We felt rather crammed, but the food was without exception so delicious, that it was nothing out wanted.
As far as we can say, it was everywhere always clean and neat. One came from the early hunts back, were in the meantime already the ' tracks' the night ( tiergetrappel through the camp) destroyed, everywhere was swept, wiped, cleaned. Also in the tent we could not about lack of cleanliness complaints.
The noise at night in the camp was exciting, but not angsteinflößend. There were of course some things, the you couldn't classify, but also just as reassuring things like chirping of the crickets!
Prior to we were quite concerned about the road conditions in the national park, as we were both bandscheibengeschädigt are. But both no problems, although there were some large potholes and drills, but our driver is quite practical dangers. Only some bruises in lendenbereich i as trophy with to the hotel back.
I could still keep it up rave about, but the most important things are i think i said. Of course, to this good impression also a little bit of the fact in, that we on our safaris are extremely many and various animals and with plump stuffed loaded tickets returned. But nonetheless, satao camp a great spot, about a couple of days to spend here. Enjoy it! Should someone still specific questions, i write gladly back! You can simply not everything write here, and lots of things were from other guests told.

We had a 3-day safari booked. We found it good! You could only not at all believe, that these really everything free animals were. Great!-)
The camp was perfect! There was everything which one needed, a bed, water, food & drink and of course the wilderness with the animals. But we were there!
The camp definitely recommendable!
Clearly, the tents are a bit outdated, but that is no matter. You are in the steppe from Kenya, you should be satisfied!-)
We spent our first night in a standard tent and could move (from specific reasons) in a suite ... at the end of the camps.
While we were there, there were hardly any animals at the waterhole, only 3 hippos were inside and on the final day in the distance a giraffe shown. At night was our tent relocates from wasserböcken and impalas. You could hear what they were fighting.-) read more

This was the 4 camp on our Flugsafari. The camp itself was not bad, in other words we had a nice view on the waterhole (Elephants, monkeys. The whole day). We had a tent-suite with a terrace and a large bathroom. The Reisverschluss from the tent was however broken and the castle we only on the requests received. The food area as well as a beautiful view. The food was however really bad, we need no Nobelessen but lapische fries and zusammengematschtes vegetables is not very tasty. Unfortunately I also bacteria contracted with Antipiotikum have treated. Here you should not ... more than 1 night his, because otherwise is a very boring quickly. We would not go back here. read more

Our airplane safari, this was the first station and we had a suite. Remarkable is

The suite had a fan (which you need), and a fridge. The bathroom was

A fantastic camp that really does have it all and it is right in the middle of the steppe. The tents are very large and spacious and the bathroom was excellent. It was in the evening always a bag with warm water to the shower in the bathroom and you had to wash with cold water. We were very impressed and can say absolutely nothing negative about the camp. read more

Since we are working on our Safari 2.5 had booked a holiday at the seaside, was our first night here in the camp. I was very pleasantly surprised with the great tent room, total original, clean and very functional installed. Here I could also a couple of days longer. Great food, very nice staff.
Waterhole at the camp, therefore, elephant, hippopotamus, monkeys, antelopes, giraffes, zebras from about 50 meters proximity to watch. At night if you're going to sleep kiegen the antelopes directly between the tents and sleeping, amazing experience.
Still another tip to safaris.
2.5 days are ... too short, you should book at least four to seven days.
You should have a stable stomach, and a good spinal conditions have very bad in the parks.
The driving directions to the parks partly over geterrte roads but the driver overtake partly was okay. read more

Food was very good, large selection at the buffet and for lunch in a restaurant with a garden overlooking the water hole.
Tents and bathroom was a bit rustic but in good condition.

On our Safari we spent a night here. The camp consisted of about 20 tent similar dwellings. The 'tent house' consists of three units: terrace, bedroom and living area and bathroom. The facilities of the living/sleep area is simple. The furnishings are made of wood. The bathroom is a big plastic bag, which in the evening with hot water filled. The water was sufficient, in order to shower thoroughly. Here too, there were all the other objects, such as, for example, the mirror part manufactured from wood. Of our terrace (tent number 16) we had a good view of the ... highest quality, which was right outside our tent. Since it could happen, that we in monkeys, and various other animals were welcomed. In the area there could move some animals free. The wide dinner and breakfast is served in an open-air restaurant. In the reviewer is served in the great outdoors under the trees. In the evening you could consume large at the campfire or on the terrace of the dining-hall cool drinks or cocktails. There are no plug sockets in the tents, you have to leave several chargers at the bar. There will be free of charge. read more

Simple Camp. Mosquito nets on the beds were on request. Establishment of the 'tent cabin' functional and clean. Shower head didn't come on, since only in the late 'Duschsack' a with hot water. In order to regulate the temperature. It had a shower hose with cold water in addition! used?!. Aussi ALM (not visible) on the hole was very good. There were constant movement of livestock to see, also, if you sat on the terrace, between the ' cottages 'walked around. Atmosphere in the restaurant was partly opened. Great camp with great service.
The camp was located at a water hole, in which at the time of our presence day and night elephants, and other animals transportation gazelles and went.
The animals walk freely in the camp.

Satao camp we can highly recommend that!
It's not a luxury camp, which we didn't wanted to. Because if one makes a safari, you want something of the nature and not shielded received life.
There, all our wishes were fulfilled, and we were at this time almost the only guests at the camp were, we were allowed to move even free of charge in the VIP tents. These tents were closer to the ditch built and comfortable equipped. Our previous 'standard tent ' but it was very nice. very carefully installed. It was always very clean!
Room service has hung ... even hang our mosquito net independently.
We especially want to mention the delicious food!
We had booked all inclusive. For breakfast you could order eggs any, at the lunch was a varied buffet and in the evening even a menu! Really excellent!
After four days Safari we are again in our 'beach-Hotel' southern Palm beach resort has been brought back, which was very recommendable.
It was the perfect combination of Safari-experience and beach holiday! read more

The camp was very old. The tents are, compared with other camp's which we visited, very small and in need of of renovation. The waterhole is the cleanliness hard to see. There are no leisure-time activities.
