Very spacious and very clean!

The restaurant and the bar invite you to enjoy a! The 5-course pampering menu for example 'solid and hard ', as well as the delicious desserts wear to be comfortable in this hotel near.

Front desk always very friendly and all questions were answered or problem'chen will be solved!

The sauna oasis, the relax and relaxation area, gym and the swimming pool are very spacious and for relaxation near! Also the offered massages are very good!

All rooms and apartment in barbarahof are very spacious and very nice and cozily furnished, again this year much new floors, bedding, curtains, flat screen tv and much more! Everything very clean! The breakfast buffet, starter-main courses and dessert offer very plentiful, varied, imaginative and lovingly prepared, the table decorations. All age groups are represented from different nations.

Bus to the kitzsteinhorn in the near vicinity. Shop brรผndl invites you for shopping a. Local for evening in the town abundant or the atmospheric in the hotel own ' bar -Barbara' is very recommendable.

The rooms are really spacious angelet and the furnishings always in the newest condition -2012 again everything new and the cleanliness is very much emphasized!

The food was as in the past years always excellent and the starters and desserts with a lot of love cooked and presented - can only be recommended - the dishes were very diverse and for all plentiful! The tables are always very polite arranged, clean and the time of year restated.

The reception is always friendly and above all warm! The rooms are always top! It will be on all the problems and ' problem'chen' received!

From our ski training group (this year 12 people) is the sauna oasis, the relax and relaxation area (with waterbeds), the gym especially the excellent massage very strongly!

In the large rooms (with a balcony) in the newly remodeled part of the 'alpine wellnesshotelbarbarahof' family meter with the new original american bettenstandard and new led flat tvs we had a new schlaferlebnis and closures after skitraining! The food was like every year excellent especially the dessert buffet and the ample breakfast is very good and can only be recommended. (we will come for 10 years the barbarahof with our ski training group from Wien) we look forward again and again these pamper days and something new!

The location is very centrally located, bus to the ski resorts, shopping 'brรผndl nearby' and in the center several nice local (and in your own house ' bar -Barbara' very recommendable) that means cosiness on site!

We had a double room 'deluxe' and even got a much bigger suite-why these change made, we could us first not explain. The room is very, very big, tidy furnished and the beds are very good. The separate toilet right at the entrance is simply a part of it, however... In the toilet is necessarily a small wash basin. In your home you must from toilet only by the whole room, from the other side in the bathroom and the hands wash -this is hygienic reasons unacceptable! The balcony was very large, but only for hiking boots off used. The location in the ground floor with a view of the garage of the adjoining house was also unpleasant, as the lack of sun in the afternoon. Only in the morning came right on the bed in the short term, sunshine, then we had to unfortunately for the rest of the day any sun do. In view of the aforementioned completely missing possibilities on the remaining estate this is a simple no-go for a 4 -stars superior-wellness hotel. The advertised high speed -wi-fi-internet was, as well as on several occasions complained, about 70% of all cases from the room not reachable -this had to my smartphone on my costs over the mobiltarife to the internet switch. The furnishing on the terrassenbalkon consisted of 2 white plastic chairs and 2 loungers, the steel frames completely rusty and the cover so ruined was, that this impossible could be used-not even with towel. The complaint at the junior boss didn't use it-a cleaning was not carried out.

The standard dinner in the form of a 5-course menu good to very good! We know also here in genuine 4 -stars superior-hotels quite other standards, but... The food is okay. The selection of appetizers could have been more generously and especially at the breakfast buffet one could expect more, as always only the same 4-5 sorts of sausage and cheese. Very annoying are the prices for the beverages. These are loose 20-30% on other hotels. One simply 0.7 liter -bottle of water costs 5,50 Euro and the cheapest wines start just under 30, -€ per 0.7 liter bottle-we know here houses, in which good wines from 22, -until 24 €to find. Gala dinner: Gala dinner consists of the usual dinner, the one or 2 course is. We very regret, that of gala not can be seen. This is of course the guests, however first of all at the hotel management, it not even for the gala dinner,, the guests appropriately dressed into the restaurant to get. The gala dinner came men in short pants, T-shirt and flip-flops-this is absolutely unacceptable. Here the hotel management completely failed. At this point we come then again to the probably justified classification at the 3-star hotel... More is not!

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The staff will pick you up from the operator offered possibilities for the guests certainly the ideal out... Small exceptions there is always

Indoor pool: The hotel offers virtually no indoor pool! It is a privatschwimmbecken in a 'cellar hole' -an area without light, without fresh air and without an exterior view. The room is too aufenthaltszwecken not allowed. The about 8.50 times 5,00 meters large pool, lack of regular beckenwasserumwälzung not as public pool used. 2 at skimmer (= einzelabläufe ) in a beckenwand do not offer the necessary beckenwasserumwälzung. The depth, the between about 1.20 and 1.35 meters, is for children completely unsuitable-in the brochure are extra also families addressed. The strong odor to chlorine in this room in the basement should the insufficient air ventilation be due, says but a technician also enough on the quality of the water from. We have in 10 days vacation only once the hand into the water to the water to 'test' -the us completely enough for us, the room is not more to enter! A outdoor pool does not exist -much worse-it is not a only corner, in the hotel guests outside in the sun and can sunbathe, or relax is to embarrassment simply cannot be beat! A fitness room is available, the thanks to a dreamlike weather however never have to use. Sauna: A very nice designed small sauna facility with aufgusssauna, steam bath, tepidarium and a shower area is available. This hotel is 'small but sweet' and would expectations a 4-star house certainly suffice, if... Not again the problem the cellars and completely lack of air would be. The stay- and verteilerraum between the aforementioned sauna area is also nicely decorated, but is much too warm and sauerstoffarm. According to the hotel website offers the sauna facility a lanconium -this is wrong! A lanconium is by definition a dry steam room after roman model with a temperature of circa 55 °C. there is a tepidarium offered. The verteilerraum is significantly warmer, when the tepidarium in the area are probably between 35 °C and 40 °C. the ventilation system blows additionally warm air and the oxygen content of the air in this temperature is much too small. High humidity and lack of air ventilation already first spren the wandecken caused. After a visit, the guest cold shower and then to the fresh air -this absolutely impossible. Us was a stay of more than 30 minutes in the absence of fresh air absolutely impossible -we had to wipe and our room/ balcony go, as this the only place is, where a sauna guest fresh air able to breathe. The 'infrared' is for us as such not recognizable. We found the sauna as way too cold, of infrared was nothing to see and the integrated tv in the cabin with their Eurosport we can well do without. The silentinum is the only room in the basement, a little fresh air- unfortunately is only, that the area of the sauna area completely separated, and every guest only cover must, to this area to achieve.

To us the hotel was unfortunately a disappointment! This hotel has never the standard of a 4 -stars superior-wellness hotel! Many promises are simple and complaints remain unheard

A dreamlike environment! From Zell am See up to the 3000. Mountains - it was fabulous and we the area certainly visit again... But not this hotel

At our arrival we were upgraded to a romantic room. The room is carefully furnished, very pleasant to be in. The ventilation is natural with a mechanical exhaust ventilation in the bathroom turned on only with the light. This is pleasant since you are not disturbed with a noisy ventilator during the night. One can open the balcony doors in two ways adjusting the amount of air that comes in.

We had five course dinners every evening and a gala dinner once during the week. The quality was fabulous! This was defenetly a five star level!

From the very beginning we were met with kindness! Our son has several allergies which makes it difficult for us to decide to go on vacation where we cannot prepare the special food for him. The hotel owner helped in creating a special meny for him every day! And it was as good and delicious as ours with perfect presentation!

The spa is great in size and offer for a hotel this size. The pool is a bit cold if you do not use the spa first.

Barbarahof is a comfortable, pleasant, family run hotel, well taken care of. It has a cousy atmosphere with two dining rooms, allowing for privacy. It has a wonderful spa, perfectly dimensioned for the size of the hotel, with several types of saunas, a small pool, a silent room, and a massage room. For families with small children it has a children room with toys, and a cinema (we haven't visited). A small gym is also available, perfect for an all body training. Above all Barbarahof has a 5 star cook, that prepares fantastic gourmet dinners!

The hotel is close to the center but not at a major road which allows for quiet nights. In the winter a small skiing hill is located just behind the hotel, which is perfect for small children or beginners. Ski rent is just about 50m away. The bus stop to the ski slopes is about 150m away, which can be a bit unpeasant if you walk in the ski-boots and carry the skiis.
