The room was tidy and sufficient. The balcony to us a bit small. If you don't use it but big enough. A fridge on our request into the room provided. This wasn't a problem and was immediately taken care of. For three stars and Greece i would say, that it was okay. We were only the bare minimum time on our room and it is always on the expectations of. Who a great room would, it gives also on Zakynthos 5 stars hotels. There i would expect more.

For us the food was every day delicious. But also here i would say ' food is a matter of taste '. Every day there was at least 2 meat dishes, side dishes, salads, desserts. Ok, if i have a 5 star kitchen on vacation expect, i book another hotel. If i 20 dishes to choice also. You then pay just loose the 5-fold from the, what you paid. One sollter try the value for money to see and what the owners after deducting all mitverdiener left. The staff made a great effort and every night we were happy and full. The Ouzo after eating, was mostly free. And in which hotel you pay for 1,5l of water and 1 liter of wine only 8,50 Euro?

The hotel is the owners every day its guests to wonderful bays and beaches? Yes dear readers and all for free. On the first evening we had a small complaint. It took no hour and everything was taken care of. The pool is on the other side of the street. During our travels he was from many guests with small children visited. Not very big and well arranged. The Porto Koukla lies directly at the beach. There was so much already written about them, so i do not want to dwell on. If you are looking for party and beach promenades right in front of the house searches, is here definitely not correct. Laganas, where in the summer the bar was, is to run a corner. In october drove no buses. But i think, the hotel should more of the people be visited, a walk in the olive groves prefer. The hotel was in this respect we this is it. Those who seek peace and quiet is in the right place here. If you have children of stands with squirt guns in the evening to preserve, he feels himself well over here.

Of course we have no star hotel expected. It is in my opinion exactly the value for money. That the greeks don't shower curtain know, me truthfully it did not bother us (i had to the bathroom yes not every day cleaning). Because we only for sleeping in the room were, was the size of the room absolutely sufficient. A bit more place i would have on the balcony requested, especially in the distance to the neighbors.

The location was perfect. Directly at the beach, no traffic noise, the groves is for walking again. In the east the island location, you can by car the perfect place for all kinds of excursions and hiking destinations. The family of hoteliers (particularly roberta, pavlos and Dennis) are so welcoming, that you don't want to come home to. But also the employees are absolutely attentive and always quickly and friendly. Except on sunday the rooms cleaned every day. Also here the staff very friendly and thorough. Mainly german and dutch guests were in our week there.

The hoteltreppen down and one was on the hotel's own beach. Couldn't be better. Total relaxation waiting for us. In summer as well to the high season there is so much more to do, because the hotel nor was fully booked and only guests the beach and the loungers (free) use. Close proximity to airport didn't bother us at all. On the contrary, therefore we could the first day already enjoy, as we only 20 minutes directions had. The location in the east for excursions i think very much better as for example vassilikos on the headland. There one must every time until to Zakynthos-city and can then the actual trip start. The vacation apartment went over 2 floors, everything was made of wood, there were several balconies, even a washing machine was available. In the kitchen there was enough crockery and cutlery. The tv had greek transmitters, but what you need on a island also a tv? Everything looked very new, it was clean and the towels were every day except sunday changed.

The breakfast was ok, there were different types of bread, one sort of bread rolls, cheese, sausage, jam, honey, Nutella, fruit and juices. It was for a 3 star hotel really ok, maybe you could do somewhat more diverse make. The dinner was always super, there was always enough, it was always warm and the most important it was always delicious. It was both international, as well as typical country dishes, for dessert usually fresh fruits. The food in the tavern at the sea was also great and a really reasonable price. The waiter ( the same as at the breakfast buffet) was very nice and you could see that his work like doing. We have for the farewell well-deserved tip what all very pleased.

Everybody was always really friendly, courteous, never annoyed and helpful. It was fluent in speak german and it was very easy going, the hosts knew when you fly and passed with a hug, very warm! Pavlos is with us over to marathonisi dangers and in a cave short can be demonstrated.

We didn't use the pool since we always in the sea were. It was only newly built and looked very clean from. Internet access was free and 2 computers available. We have a double room booked and in a vacation home over 2 floors have been accommodated, have even for 2 days a scooter to get around the way to the actual hotel not to walk ( approximately 300 meters). The apartment was clean, towels were changed daily. The food was general super, we had in any star hotel. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, so you can understand the native guests, the every year again go there.

The hotel is situated right at the sea, the beach is relatively narrow which however not is bad, beach chairs are available and the sea is wonderful. Across the street is marathonisi-this is one more way! You can fantastic snorkeling and sunbathing, it is perfect, the caves are nice and clear and you could various erdecken. The next city is Agios Sostis, relatively difficult to reach you at the beach already climbing to or through the knee water walk. We recommend gerakas about 1 hour far away with the scooter, the most beautiful beach the island. Zakynthos City is also nice, great harbor, but rather to recommend as in the afternoon the stores closed. One should definitely the west coast drive along, here there are a lot of great small bays where one could swim well. Dafni beach is also very recommendable, there is a wonderful area very nice greeks on the one mega good food and the atmosphere is simply hammer.

The breakfast is for greek standards absolutely okay. The hotel is a beautiful, not to large buildings, the in the last 20 years after ' gewachsen'ist and approximately 50 rooms has. When we in the hotel arrived, we were told that, that main building fully occupied, we in a neighboring building, and after a week in the main building can draw. After a long back and forth we were then but a room in the hh offered, room 113, in the basement- no window, only one type of front door over the small terrace. The room smelled after mold, it was dirty and small. After we this declined us an apartment in another side building shown, this lived up to the beach from the room in the basement. After we one night sleep had, we were on the next day a room in the main building, 3 floor offered... Worse it could not come any more. The room was small, very badly soundproofed, small bed with a sheet. A wardrobe with hangers and no shelf space. The bathroom was pure adventure, cistern broken, therefore ran off permanently water in and out of the cistern, it was everywhere mold at the pipe, mold around the shower, no shower curtain and thus sponge the bathroom after showering. Toilet seat was still at a screw attached, holder for the shower head was broken in the wall, almost no places to put things. Towels and sheets were partly dirty, had holes and were really and frayed.

We are already much traveling, also in three star hotels, but unimaginative and unloving we do not have yet experienced. Two weeks blue boiled eggs for breakfast, no fried egg, scrambled egg o. s. , tomato about every two days, sometimes melons. The dinner, also in buffet form, not typical of the country, almost every day fries, tk - vegetables, two types of meat. Salad and soup gave it to each evening. The food was usually luke warm to cold and taste a catastrophe.

This warmth in other reviews described, we have unfortunately not experienced. After a heavy storm with much rain was our ceiling leaked and it dripped everywhere, it took 2 days until someone responded, then a 'technician' from the hotel, it was the ceiling panels a piece of in, a towel and sheet above put, ceiling again and ready. Then sucked after another rainy day the things full and it dripped again, afterwards we turned to its, in the hallway were also towels and bowls were available as catch tanks.

No animation at the beach or pool, luckily. The sea was absolutely clear, warm and flat, one could far walk. Because of the positive resonance when Holidaycheck, we decided for this hotel and were unfortunately bitter disappointed. Merely the perfect seaside location draws this hotel from, however nothing more. We booked half board. Air conditioning costs 5, -€ a day! Safe was loose in the closet, had to also be paid. Some rooms had a fridge, some tv, different rooms had both. Guest structure was mixed, many modern, every age was represented.

The hotel is situated right at the sea, the beach is about a stone staircase to reach. The beach is rather neglected and narrow, chairs and umbrellas there are definitely too few, in addition, that a lot no longer working. We are therefore mostly a few more meters run, but for 2 loungers and a umbrella 6, -€ on the day paid. Two small supermarkets are really nearby, to the neighboring Agios Sostis one runs at the beach 10 minutes, street comfortable 20 minutes. Small place with taverns and a few shops. After laganas one runs good 45 minutes or drives for 9, -€ with the taxi.

Bathroom was rather spartan, but for greek conditions normally with the obligatory shower curtain, which too small is and the bathroom after showering soggy-greek stop \u263a

The breakfast buffet is for greek standards in a star hotel really good. Only the greek yogurt would have daily can give. After a week we were finally in the main building relocated. Friendly room( 2nd floor), bright, air conditioning tv, hair dryer, safe in the room not feast installed. Bathroom without shower curtain, this whole bath included toilet ( fractional toilets rinsing button, flushing however still possible ) after showering splatters (danger of slipping)

We were in the first week for solid overbooking in a nebenstehendes apartment expelled, that absolutely not our booked category was (no hair dryer, no safety deposit box, no tv) and not to the hotel belonged. From the German speaking receptionist, we found out, that it completely normal! Is, a week in an adjacent building and the 2 in the main hotel to spend! Other tourists it was issued similar. Dark room, in which one located in the middle day electro. Light needed, for something to see. Ancient decor, dead mosquitoes in the coffee cups, several bugs in the room and spider webs on the bed on the ceiling. After complaint two days waiting time, to room finally cleaned. Bath after showering completely underwater ( no shower curtain) In the second week we arrived finally in the main building, the booked category corresponded, beautiful bright on the 2nd floor, however bathroom also after showering completely with water splattered and floor very slippery missing. The rooms are equipped with tv. Hair dryer. - super comfortable bed ( mattresses are a dream - I would have preferred to take home :-) ) Large wardrobe. Desk. - safe ( adequate-with personally einzugebendem code-so safe!) Always clean. - air conditioning available, however with extra charge ( if you need depends on the time of year it depends on, we didn't need it) The bathroom: - by default, in greek verhältinissen does not exist in every room showers, - but tub! They made all efforts cleanliness, however we must not forget, that the Porto Koukla only stars has! In bathrooms there is always a risk, to minor flaws, because but a lot is somewhat older. ( it is also a question of finances-but all at once renovate time not!) as we also know German! Hand - respectively towel change takes place 'daily' -except sundays!

Breakfast: The breakfast for' greek verhältnisse' -absolutely satisfactory and above all filling! There was always enough of everything available, no matter wether around 8:00 or 10:00 A. M. the day wanted to start. The service-boss at the breakfast buffet had in any case really beautiful to do and constantly pearls on the forehead, he was always on the run and filled the breakfast buffet on, so that all be full. Dinner: You must be Greece - vacation in principle-between the dishes typical of the country 'on the ground' and the greeks' around the corner' in Germany. Of course-it many holidaymakers,- do you from time to time times other taverns try, - but overall we cannot on the offer the dishes at the buffet complain. The hotel sets at least much value on it, within a week every evening something else to offer. And hand on the heart, -compare the total package ' 1 week vacation in Porto Koukla' with other hotels this category, then many say, that one for ' 614.- Euro per week' in a hotel right next to the sea located no dinner get! As long as you during the day at the hotel's own beach anyway, you could various snacks order, even at the beach chairs were brought. All together gave themselves the staff very much trouble, their guests to spoil!

In this respect, we can only' positive' say. The reception on the way there was so warm (angie spoke very good German), we felt very welcome,. At the front desk you always get and above all friendly answered all our questions. For dinner we had always comfortable, roberta with her team everything under control. Even if we are at the dinner buffet something queue had (it is just, if the hotel is booked and everyone immediately want to eat ), but there was always plentiful and extensive food. The service always friendly - thanks roberta! Dennis ( pavlos brother) made always for a filled buffet. The rooms were always clean and tidy. The reinigungsmädel gave us always a smile.

The pool was 'never' crowded-completely on the contrary. Partly we had the pool even just for us. And the pool bar always manned. The selection of of the pool bar very adequate. From various cafés (best of all was the frappè -just unbeatable), for every man important' beer' - no matter wether in bottles or barrels! - to the water cocktails, - with or without cocktail! ( between 16:00 until: o'clock happy hours). Also here there were also small snacks ( lovingly prepared). Because of my personal desire (in the early morning hours -8:00 A. M.) some trains in the pool alone swim,,, the hotel management even a zeitigere pool cleaning leads. Both floats as playthings are in the pool available. So no guest bring your own! Pavlos legendary musical evenings ( wednesday and saturday) are simply a must! Pavlos voice unique and beautiful. From greek -venetian dear-and romantiksongs, over 'is live life' in greek, to instrumentalversion from the ' kufsteinlied ' is everything available. The mood was brilliant-even on the next day assail the hands-the gossip ;-) Very impressive were the dancing performance fantastic' friends! Amazing was also the youth ( pavlos' friends), the substantially to its popular music is possible, but also the end, more modern songs einstimmten! An unforgettable, beautiful evening and one felt, as still young and old still understand!

The hotel looks already alone from the outside inviting and is surrounded with beautiful palm trees. A very well maintained hotel, the garden with many plants stocked. The breakfast room = large and nevertheless clearly, The in-house tavern = always with friendly service and in the evening large selection at the buffet The thalassa bar= a must! Every wednesday and saturday live music by pavlos personally. A unique and amiable musicians. We stayed with the half board very satisfied.

The hotel has it's own beach, however it is important, what time of year you are there. We had unfortunately bad luck - some days before our arrival there was a strong storm, - afterwards was the beach quite small. But the power the nature. Nevertheless we were wonderfully baden and could enjoy the sun. There is' free' chairs and sunscreens! ( is also not self-evident') The Porto Koukla although it is a little bit outside, but for vacationers, 'we', the somewhat more peace search, it was perfect! But you can from the hotel really beautiful walks through the massive groves make. There are shops in a small gift shop just round the corner or then a somewhat larger shop a few more meters. Apart from that there are innumerable taverns, shops and café ' s in koukla beach (over a boardwalk approximately 300 meters and normal on foot about a kilometer). Is worthwhile in any case:-) Pavlos even runs its guests on request ( free) with his small boat on the small island marathonisi (looks like a tortoise). Which hotel boss makes the already-I know not other.
