Fiha -a small island in the south malé atoll.
The island is beautiful and has a lot of nature, nice small, and you have plenty of peace. And it is what we arrived. We need (especially with a maldives holiday) no action, no entertainment, only sun, beach and sea, and the is on fiha full. We had the whole 2 weeks pure sun.
The employees are all very friendly - although rather reserved, which however their mentality is-and we as not disturbing felt.
The bungalows in 3 * +-level are clean and the value for money is very good.
The ... nearby riff is beautiful and perfect for snorkelling suitable-even after days you find still new.
The food is really good and varied, only approximate the issues (indian, maldivian, asian) often a bit. Nevertheless was always something for all-and the more than enough \u263a

I will skip the description for each issue and will be equal to the tips and my overall impression.
Fihalhohi is simply a fantastic island, i think everyone agrees. You just have to know, that there is no deserted island is, but you have a space at the beach must be found, not overpopulated is. This is however also only two places on the Nordstrand so, we spent most of the time pretty quiet and with uninterrupted sea view between palm trees ☺
Times to the theme friendliness staff: i found the staff very nice, solely the people at the ... reception look a bit dark, but it was completely no matter was. Roomboy and service were always nice and the, although we did not so much tip as at the start recommended. Give so much as you just fits (we spent the first three days nothing given).
Take in any case a flashlight; air mattress for the loungers; beach shoes for the beach (it has in some places but very great corals) and many dollars with ☺
Makes the manta trip, is worthwhile and the snorkeling safari.
Best time for snorkelling is from 10 o'clock in the morning, as you see schildis (near water bungalows) and the current is not strong. Lunch almost no chance to see a.
Your shoes you can at home leave (is especially the women their bags hopelessly overcrowded), take little something to drink, then you can save ☺
Now i could only still recommend you for this island to decide (relying possibly still a couple of days in the bungalow to stay, is worthwhile), it was really a dream and we will come back without fail! read more

A paradisiac barefoot island to experience a beautiful and worry free vacation.
Especially worth mentioning is the since november 2012 in reorganization diving station led by winnie sch. With a competent international team-the tauchorganisation is good and tight (2 dives in the morning by boat, the afternoon can to the beach-benefit or snorkeling/ taugang at the nearby reef be used, if you still want more, must also in the afternoon with the boat exchange!), the equipment is new (nitrox free of charge ), the service is always in a good mood, friendly and experienced. First a few words to the diving station. After the takeover by äolus diving in may 2012 there were some teething problems. With the arrival of winnie s. in november 2012 came fresh breeze in the diving center. In february 2013 we found a used loose, pleasant ambience and a very good organization. And it should be better. Winnie had a lot planned. We will be back!
The price for example drinks one can only say: outrageous! Clearly, it is even more expensive, but the prices for a beer and for example cointreau of 3.5 $on 5 $to increase ... is not alright. There helps only on the degestiv to do. Hopefully notice the management a sales and leads again moderatere rates a. (i think but not). Otherwise we can the barefoot island without! We are the 7. time on fiha again people become acquainted with the more since were already says everything and it come again and again new repeater oppositionally. We were for the 2. time on the island. We really liked it once again. Very nice nearby reef for snorkeling.
The tenant has however changed and the prices has clearly increased.
Here a few example: 1,5 liter bottle 3.50 Dollar, beer 5 Dollar, cocktails 10-15 Dollar, everything then times 16% service charge and tax. read more

The island fihalhohi, which 450 meters long and approximately 250 meters broad, is very tight with palms and has a beautiful, clean white beach. Our room was in good condition. The inselgäste are too many german, swiss and austrians.
One always had the same table and the same waiter. Our waiter was always friendly and without generous tip in advance. With english you could reach everything. You should definitely enough suntan creams, insect repellant and a akutstift pack.
The food was varied. For breakfast there could have been more variety can, but generally we were satisfied, particularly the salads are ... recommendable! The beverage prices are relatively high and there is no alternative as in the restaurant or at the bar something to drink. This extra cost you should definitely before plan.
The hotel is a three stars island do it justice. For a Maldives-islands is fihalhohi fairly close developed, so also at the beach lots of people couches and unfortunately there is only plastic chairs and thus cushions not forget.
Fihalhohi is however still a Maldives islands, which the european dschungelinselgefühl do it justice. read more

Room reasonable, as concessions for southern countries. Towels in the bathroom are rather clothes.
Food in the restaurant delicious, choice at the breakfast could be better, more variety with the fruit. Very high drink prices.
Unfortunately no official room with a tv, radio or no daily actual newspapers.
Unfortunately no cushions on the beach chairs. The plastic lying chairs are brutally hard.
The extremely pleasant and friendly staff and the nice weather compensate for a lot. read more

Accommodation:
One in front: we had previously a 10-tägige individual Sri Lanka trip in progress, which really was fantastic (http:///www. Asoka. De/choice 2 // index. Htm). This combination, only trip and then Maldives, we really recommend that. From Sri Lanka it is a 1-hour flight to the Maldives.
Now to the island fihalhohi:
After 2005 on the island embudu this was our 2. Maldives holiday.
According to the catalog is the island fihalhohi about 450 meters long and about 240 metres wide. With the boat ride from the airport to the island about 40 minutes. With arrival there were ... a erfrischungsdrink and around 6:00 p. m. again a briefing by the tauchschulenbetreiber (diving, snorkeling spots, etc.).
According to the catalog the 138 rooms at bungalows-story and two-story units. There are also 12 water bungalows.
The guest structure is multicultural: german, swiss, austrians, italians.
As probably almost any Maldives-islands also has fihalhohi a beautiful and a not so nice side. On the not so nice side is the beach washed away. The beach on the beautiful side a dream: snow white sand, many palms, turquoise water. As one imagines it.
At low tide is the island -time from the jetty apart-in 16 minutes round. When the tide is much of the beautiful beach lost, there is already times close.
Next to the apartments there is a restaurant, a shop, of course a front desk, a diving school, a 'water sports centre' (a small hut ☺ and two bars.
In the evening at the blue lagoon bar to sit and the sunset to see, is a dream! Chill out. Chill out. Chill out.

The nearby riff liked it. Despite many idiots, on the corals tramped are, are still quite a lot of intact. The hotel is wonderful, but i have stayed in 10 days only once sharks (of baby sharks apart) and only twice turtles. Even if embudu as island not with fihalhohi can match, so was the reef, despite missing corals (all broken) on embudu partly been better. There was every day sharks, turtles and a few times came even several mantas to the reef.
Nevertheless i can the fihalhohi-reef recommend to anyone. There is really much to see! Plenty of colorful korallenfische, eagle rays (school of 6 piece), octopus, moray eels and so on. I jammere so here is of a high standard ☺! read more

We are here flown, because we a recommendation got. We were 2012 in the north of male atoll. It went arrived in male, everything very easy. The food was not particularly good, with sharp variations and normal, as usual pasta and rice and the meat dead. We have always found something, at home you have not so wide choice. After 1992, 1995, 1998, 2003 i was now 2013 for the 5. time on the island. Because of the reviews on holiday check i got silent doubt, whether it me again so much dignity. What has not/not changed significantly very nice, with high palms densely overgrown island. The beach is relatively wide and surrounds about 2/3 the island. The doldrums lagungenseite is for children very suitable. The restaurant offers a sufficient alternating menu. The whole island is very well maintained-in the morning at 05:00 o'clock the complete island by the staff cleaned ( abgefallenes leaves, coconuts). There is no ... untidy places in all facilities (guest houses, restaurant, bars, and so on) in the middle the island the accommodation of the staff, as well as the complete inseltechnik -as tourist one comes with the decor not in contact. The vacationers come to about 80% from the german-speaking area. Everything is going very harmoniously and quiet. No partygänger or other unpleasant striking guests. What has changed: there were 12 water bungalows built-but not disturbing - on the contrary, you can take a nice on the jetty walking and these bungalows are a like used photography opportunities. There are now very few single storey bungalows-everything the standard rooms. The deluxe bungalows all two-storied. The number of the vacationer has thus to a maximum of 300 elevatory. Because of the strandgröße this is however still bearable - besides was the restaurant shall be extended appropriately. And yes-the geträkepreise have increased 0,3 beer: 5$ 1,5l of water 3,50$ plus 18% tax. But with the inselüpfen we were on two neighbouring islands. For relaxing and snorkeling exactly the right place on a very nice quiet island.
Audience was mixed (nationality and age), it nervt only if passing trade (russian friends) and the developments a bit upset (they are just loud and block sun lounger at the actually the rooms are tied. Selection of drinks during dinner times should at least water free of charge be extended.

We had a classic -bungalow on the north side, where is always a little wind. For us pleasantly, as everything on the drying rack on the terrace during the night dried and not so many mosquitos. Check in and check out easy. The bungalow is big, with a safe and small terrace, maybe a little bit in need of renovation, but ok with air-conditioning. Only the kettle is missing. 2 loungers in front of the bungalow with bunginr. Mood, you to the beach pull can, however without cushions. Daily fresh towels for bath and beach. Recommendation: air mattress take. The ... staff were very friendly, even if not always a grin in the face was to see. For the island (20 meters) a terrific reef nearby. Food was ok, new year's eve a wahnsinnsbüfett. Daily excursions offered, to dolphin and mantas to see. Dolphin we have full, unfortunately no mantas, as other excursion participants. The diving station was great, very good organization, great atmosphere - all great. Drinks are, like everywhere on the Maldives, not cheap. All together: again fihalhohi! read more

Good value for money, very good food - always something there for everyone, staff absolutely okay and tried hard, diving basis is also okay, reef very nice and directly at the island-you can see turtle, shark, morays, nemos and countless other magnificent fish. Classic bungalows with air conditioning without an extra charge, great location, facilities totally reasonable. Everyone finds on the island spot. The delphinausflug is brilliant - you see about 200 dolphins-many babies.
Everything for this price is the island totally reasonable - we felt very good. The island also has lots of regular guests. read more
