The hotel's location is unbeatable on the Royal Mile. The room moderately large and moderately clean-as the bathroom applies. On accessories is very saved. The hotel offers a breakfast in buffet form for 7.5 pound. If you don't have much time okay, but if you have more time to spare, it is better in one of the lots of pubs for breakfast, the in the immediate area- lie for example Garfunkles directly around the corner to the Royal Mile. The quality of the hotel's breakfast is rather bad, the service very slow-it takes forever, until the lady from the ... service in movement permuted tables clearing and cleaning. No good service, if the number of tables was very limited and lots of guests for a free table wait. Altogether I can the hotel but ampfehlen - as mentioned, unbeatable location! read more

For the second time in the Ibis: renovated rooms

The Ibis is absolutely ingenious only 20 meters back on the royal mile, old town. The endpoint of the airport bus is opposite the 300 meters Cockbum street high, cross the royal mile and right 3 building behind the Starbucks is already the hotel. All together in other words around 7 minutes away on foot. Our rooms seemed freshly painted and the furniture was new. Unfortunately, the carpet its best years behind it, and the bathroom is very small. Everything is clean! In the room there is a kettle, tea, Nescafé, flat tv, telephone, computer terminals, hair dryer. Safe only ... at the recipe., unfortunately there is no fridge. In the Ibis there are eintweder quiet Hinterhofaussicht or view the hunter square, but at the weekend because of its pubs is busy. Breakfast costs 7. 50: eggs, bacon, beans, cereals, yoghurt, fruit, bread and a lot more. Everything as a buffet set up and very clean. read more

The positive thing right at the beginning: the hotel is really in the center of the center from Edinburgh, sights the castle or the national museum are also on foot in ten minutes to reach! The room is for the central location and the number of stars perfectly fine, flatscreen tv is available. The breakfast buffet is manageable, but the most important thing is it (bread, egg, cereal, baked beans) and tasted. The reception staff are very friendly and accommodating. If you for little money in Edinburgh want to stay, the this hotel is simply recommendable. read more

A good and cheap hotel with excellent location for a city trip to Edinburgh. Everything clean, breakfast very good, room large enough for a few days. Hotel lies approximately 10 minutes on foot from the bus station. All sights are from the hotel from on foot very easy to reach. Ideal city hotel! read more

The hotel is located only 50m away on a side street across the upper Royal mile, making it ideal for the old town to explore. A short walk from the airport bus (Waverly bridge Endhaltestell) in seven minutes at the hotel, St. Giles, Gosthtours, pubs, everything around the corner. The hotel has gotten old, you can see that in the bathroom or in the lobby. There is a coffee/Teemöglichkeit in room but no safe or fridge. The rooms are very small. Breakfast is not included, but at a fair price. Here the choice is good and bacon, fruit, sweet rolls. ... In my eyes more, so you would expect for those very favorable price. read more

Room ... yes ... good size. Mattresses ok and hard, the room absolutely clairaudient. Not so much from the outdoor area more for that the interior. Every door flush and be heard. Recommend room at the back as at least some noise from the street not through. In the square in front of the hotel a fashionable meeting place for the youth Edinburgh. For half of the night. Cleanliness okay. No toilet brush!!! Bathroom unlockable and into the room of course very clairaudient. Air conditioning sets mold.

We had two different sizes. A large on the street side and a small faced the back. But the equipment was almost identical. In the large room there was a small lounge. In the smaller a desk and chair. The rooms were clean, tidy and in a new condition. A direct dial telephone as well as a water heater with tea and coffee was available. Also all the rooms with an LCD TV with 5 english channel on the t.v and 3 radio stations. A hair dryer was free at the front desk. Unfortunately there are no closed closets but only two open shelves with an open rack. The bathrooms with soap, shower gel, shower mat and 2 bath towels. But the hotel was lacking a toilet brush. There was a possibility for some fresh air in the large room on the street side. outside window is from Einfachglas and room there is a plastic windows which however with 10 cm playroom is secured. The construction is a bit difficult to describe. But the rooms were both very quiet by street noise isolated but at the hotel itself was it noisy.

The hotel is home to the breakfast area and bar/lounge. The cleanliness in the breakfast area is very bad. Breakfast will be accepted dishes: Different sorts of Kellogs, yogurt, fruit salad, fresh fruit, sausage, COLORLESS scrambled eggs, bacon, easy-seared tuna;, both sorts of toast, packed cheddar, 2 sorts of cold meat, baguette, croissants, red beans, jam, honey and nutella. With the drinks are apple and orange juice, tea as well as different sorts of coffee are available. The atmosphere is like in a cafeteria. We had breakfast be ordered, as it was reasonably priced and it is so nice and comfy. But in the surrounding area you will find a lot of choices.

Very friendly and helpful staff. mostly spoke English, but some of the staff speak several languages. The small "bar" is with the front desk and therefore always occupied. The rooms are clean and well cleaned. We only noticed that was to wipe the tables in the lounge area a damp cloth taken with the same tissue and also the foot of the table was cleaned daily. Conclusion: The cleaning not by German standards. As we arrived very early and late left, was our suitcases at the hotel stored in a protected area.

Excellent location. Just off the Royal Mile in the Old Town. The Royal Mile is the connection from Holyrood Palace and Edinburgh Castle. The street offers a variety of small shops and various restaurants (Italian, Thai, Indian, pubs and many cafes). Most of the sights and shopping are within walking distance. Otherwise there was very good bus connections and plenty of taxis. Around the Britannia in the harbor are we visit by taxi and paid 10 pounds (with tips). The Britannia is integrated into a shopping center. In case you like shopping necessarily more time. On the Britannia there is a great cafe. The Princess-street is the large shopping malls and within walking distance. From the airport is £3.20 for up to Waverley Station and from there about a 5-10 minute walk to the hotel.

The rooms are very modern and Ibis typical decorated. The size is well worth it. The bed is very large and beautiful. Opposite the bed is a small LCD on the only English channels. There is also a kettle, cups with tea and Nescafe coffee. Was also re-filled every day. We had a room at the back, so it was very quiet. General is in the evening it not as noisy as you know it from other cities. Edinburgh is special. The bathroom was big enough, clean and modern. At the beginning only toothbrushes and utensils are a soap were available. A bit sad I found the toilet brush not available. Internet is available through surcharge with the TV. A keyboard provided in the room.

I can only say one thing - you can't get anything better. The hotel is located in a quiet square just off the Royal Mile in the heart of Edinburgh. It is really everything perfect within walking distance. Unless you get an excursion to the port (Ocean Terminal) you have to take the bus. But only a few meters from the hotel and costs very little. think 1.20 for a single fare.

This hotel is part of the chain of Ibis hotels. The multi-level building blends seamlesly and almost unobtrusively in the neighborhood older buildings. Our room was the biggest disappointment of the stay - and the reason we would not recommend this hotel. The decor is Ibis typical simple, no problem. Though there were hairs in the bed and large (! ) Stains on (see also service)! The shower was in the tile grouting deutlichst the mold is recognized (and this guarantees not only yesterday)! The flush spotty. The carpet was worn and stained. The sound insulation to the outside was as good as none - traffic noise and night dips fighting....come this hotel from drunks (during the week! ) just blew us as well as the sleep like the temperatures. As the "air conditioning" is not such that it can depending upon ambient temperature in roomtemperatures of about the only (and it's so easily customizable noted in the owner's manual). The bed is very hard - a simple plywood board with a Marvelous foam matttresses. A TV with a few English speaking channels and an Italian music channel were available. There is also pay TV. The view from the window allowed the view of the immediate homes in the neighborhood as well as parts of the mountain "Arthus-Bertrand Seat". A water heater with tea/coffee was available.

For the Städteerkundung from Edinburgh this hotel is centrally located in a prime location - almost all places of interest are for you're able bodied within walking distance. If you arrive by plane you can access the Airlink bus 100 (19 ) take airport bus stop - costs £6 with a Rückfahrticket time (also for the night bus) can be used. Journey time: approximately 25 minutes. From the bus stop at the station Weaverly depending on the condition five to ten minutes walk (Please note: slope/stairs). In the near vicinity there are among a subway store (closed in the evening! ), Pizza Hut as well as various pubs and bars. Also a drugstore is situated within close proximity. Various supermarkets are in about five to ten minutes walking distance (U. A. Tesco, Lidl). The location at the arterial road (A7) as well as in a artery on the Royal Mile, however a considerable noise - by cars, buses, trucks and many jaulende AMBULANCE vehicle and at night by drunken shouting ... For this reason there was sadly deduction from the otherwise really touristy good location.

City hotel in a central location, about 5 floors in good condition and an appealing architecture, clean. Breakfast had to be ordered. cost £5.50 per day. , Rolls, ham, cheese, fruit, yogurt, coffee/ tea, Saftkonzentrat. Quite filling and good. If you want a typical scottish O. English breakfast with bacon, ham, eggs, beans etc. Should want to eat out.

Very centrally located in the old town of Edinburgh. Edinburgh Castle is within walking distance to 5-10 minutes walking distance. Depending on pace. In the surroundings are some pubs, restaurants, supermarkets, whisky-shops, Scottish souvenir shops, pizza hut and other fast food chains. The Royal Mile is right around the corner. The Radisson hotel is just around the corner. Some little annoyed at where you could book excursions. Absolutely recommended was an excursion to the Highlands direction Loch Ness. To the airport takes about 30 minutes. The best means Airlink 74B bus runs to reach. The bus costs 6Pfund for round trip. Get off at the terminus. Then the road up the hill. You're right the Royal Mile. The only cross and a few meters straight ahead and the hotel is reached. The luggage should be based on the slope but not too hard or at least. Limited parking.
