This is now my third visit in the hotel Senator and it is certainly not my last.
At the moment there is largely rebuilt and renovated. For this reason I got a room on the fifth floor (was first finished) with roof terrace - simply dreamlike the view of the sea and the city.
The front desk was in the morning at 3:30 o'clock very friendly and helpful. A bellman brought the luggage to our rooms.

the second room was very nice one suite we, after we as a couple when we checked in a 3 bedroom with 3 single beds had, although I with the reservation extra a double bed mentioned, since I other Turkey travel already knew. The hotel was fully booked but on day 2 the suite.

The location in the middle of laleli with a short distance to the well known attractions and the tram, the hotel is well suited for a city trip. We were from. 05,03-12 March 2011 at the hotel Senator. We had booked two double room including breakfast. At check-in we were due to shortages of available double room a suite-room. After examination of the suites-the room we were satisfied, since the suite-the room was great and was very large. But we had to discover, that the room was not really warm, as the radiators were not strong enough, and the whole room was warm. After we had complained about this, they made us without any discussion two double room and after two night we then changed the room. ... The double room was very modern furnished. The breakfast was really top. Plenty of choice and especially fresh. The buffet was with cheese, sheep cheeses, Turkish sausage, salad, jam, honey, bread, wheat bread, Turkish Backspezialitäten, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs equipped. As a drink were nescafé, Turkish tea and fruit juices. Freshly squeezed juice cost 2.5 Tl, however. Breakfast was available from 7-10 hours. The staff tried really hard. So we have asked a couple of times, for example, whether we needed anything to complain about or for improvements. It was so very care of the guests. The guests in Hotel consists of 90% for older guests and is very International. To the center of Sultan Ahmet one drove the best by train in the direction of kabatas. There are three stations. A ticket costs 1.75 Tl, 0.80 euro cost. Go to means to get to the bus stop, you are on the main street and the station Aksaray. If you are on the Asian side want to, you can take the ferry to eminonu port in the kadikoy. I think this hotel can further recommend without any doubt. read more

The senator has just what!
Whether at breakfast or in the evening the bar, all staff very friendly and

The hotel is overall recommended. to it is relatively locally to the main attractions like the hagia Sofia, Sultan mosque, and so on.
The breakfast is also OK. hot and cold dishes. for each taste something so!
The room are very thin and the has a bit annoying when the people next to think, that this alone in the hotel and until late in the night to celebrate.

We have just returned from our stay at the Senator Hotel Istanbul. The hotel is exactly as described on their own website - welcoming, elegant and spacious.
Our room was clean, comfortable with all the essentials - modern bathroom with all the extras. Latest slimline TV should you be interested.Clean bed linen with a good firm mattress. The food was really first class - we had half board.
Good breakfast buffet - to suit all types. Our evening meals were really special, taken in the very elegant surroundings. The Functions Manager and his waiters were really attentive and pleasant. ...
So, all you guys and gals out there if you enjoy a bit of luxury stay at the Senator Hotel Istanbul. May I say I have travelled widely and this hotel is special. read more
