In december we stayed for 4 days in Istanbul and have booked a family room. The hotel is close to the grand bazaar and it is very conveniently located. In the restaurant one has a very beautiful view of the bosphorus, which we already miss. We will most likely stay at the same hotel the next Istanbul trip. regards Fatih. read hotel review

The hotel looked very nice. Archaeological finds, the the construction of the hotels are made, are in the stairwell and in the lobby on display. The hotel offers free wi-fi access. Unfortunately this was in my room not usable, since i have a meters behind the door no front desk had. In the lobby functioned wi-fi however behaviourless. I booked only breakfast. read hotel review
  • Room
    4.0

The room is rather as small to be designated defendendo. A tv and a hair dryer were available. The tv is so clumsy appropriate, that he hardly to use should be. Mini bar was available, i did however not used. The toilet and the bathroom were tidy and were also well cleaned. But the bathroom was really cramped. The shower was a small impertinence. Showers caused an inundation and the shower rod was dropped (cheap plastiksystem ). Theoretically it could have been in the room two free 230 v power outlets (type f, as in germany) given. A tin, however, was without function. The rest of the box was of course the key. So was batteries are just at night, what with a plug right was problematic. The room has a safe. The keys were available at the front desk. Unfortunately the safe was extremely small. Problem was, at least in the first night was extremely loud. The hotel was until late in the night (the must to 2 or 3 o'clock in the morning have been) a bit installed or loaded. The rooms are very clairaudient and why you to 6 o'clock in the morning it the hallway vacuum must is incomprehensible me.

  • Gastronomy
    3.0

In gastronomy i can only comment on breakfast. The buffet was big enough, but no begeisterungsstürme kindle. It was ok, at 89 euros per night i would have liked but what else should be expected and 200 euro per night, as the reception was still much more.

  • Service

The staff was very friendly. At the front desk was very good english spoken. German rather less. The rooms were cleaned properly.

The location of the hotel is ideal. A few minutes' walk from the s-bahn station beyazit away, you can easily and quickly move. The purchase of a istanbul-card at the kiosk is worth it definitely. 30 metres away from the hotel has a small traders his shop.

Yes, but not with a 4 star hotel comparable. We lack basic important things. The hotel is rather old and the rooms are be worn. But the location makes up for a lot. 150 meters to the big bazar with many shopping possibilities. 20 minutes on foot to the Hagia Sophia and tokapi palace and sea views from the 3. floor., if the room facing south out. The restaurant on the 5. floor has a great view of the ocean, but the roofs and the air conditioners of the partly strongly neglected around not presentable and remind rather of a ... ghetto. For this the hotel can but nothing. The breakfast buffet was well stocked. Unfortunately only coffee, but good turkish tea. The zysterne with the construction of the 1984 below the hotels found was nicely restored and is nice to see. But probably is almost completely Istanbul on historical buildings. The single room that i had booked was only 12 square meter large, but perfectly adequate. Drawback: the small 'safe' was loose in the closet! Further possibilities for retention at the front desk there was not. And the best is at the front desk is, that no liability for lost valuables is accepted, if you don't at the front desk delivered. But unfortunately, there was nothing there. So always all valuables: money, passport, documents and so on. Carries along. The annoying and in the commotion of the markets be dangerous. The rooms are unfortunately badly sound-proofed, but with Oropax it worked out perfectly. The hotel is located in a side street and can not with cars were driven to. The car stopped on the busy main street. And you approximately 50 meters to the hotel. Taxi: are well arranged. From Atatürk airport one pays 4 0 tl (circa 1 7 €) and it is also rarely more expensive than this sum. But is conditionally recommendable in Istanbul actually always traffic is. Around the hotel you will find hundreds of restaurants and takeaways. Who finds here nothing it is your own fault. Conclusion: as a 3 star good but too expensive. Great location. Room ok. read hotel review

The hotel has although it is only small rooms, but these are absolutely sufficient and clean. But the location was in the city center very well. You had short ways to the main attractions of the city. Although there is no spa, for a city hotel but also unnecessary. read hotel review

For a city break the hotel is very convenient. The location is good. The grand bazaar can be reached in 5 minutes, the galata bridge, a half-hour on foot reached. All objects of interest can one walk. The room was quite large, the floor was however not cleaned. With us in the room it was rather sticky. The staff speaks no german, but english quite well. The check-in and check-out is done easily within a few minutes. In addition the staff is friendly and greet you always. From the roof terrace and the restaurant you have a wonderful view on ... the sea. Below in the basement there is a cistern in which you can eat. Two minutes in front of the hotel there is a tram stop. read hotel review

Nastier smell in the room, reception overstrained

Istanbul is a great city and definitely worth a trip! Really can only be recommended! We are totally thrilled! Antik hotel however not recommend. Positive about the hotel was the location. The historic part is within walking distance, also the grand bazaar and so on., the access to the metro is hard to beat and you can easily in the vicinity of the hotel enter. Great is also the breakfast room with a nice view on the bosphorus/marmara sea. Also the breakfast buffet we liked. The beds were also very comfortable. Drawback is definitely in the other reviews mentioned loudness. ... We could really hear everything. Our room was also on the first floor at the elevator. So we had not only the noise from the neighboring rooms, but also from the hallway and stairwell. However, as we the whole day in action were we to some extent a good night's sleep. Really disgusting was however our bathroom. The constantly-and in particular at night - smelly. We assume, that it from the drain came. It was so bad, that i at night i woke up and air had, because of the smell so was unbearable. The bathroom door to, but it was in the room bearable. The only reason the hotel i would do not book. It was really gross! The restaurant in the cistern was never open! Kindly we could however times a short look. It looks really wonderful and great. We were however told, it was only for larger groups and special occasions is opened. Here you should, where appropriate, inform first. We were a bit disappointed, since we actually sometime in the cistern eaten. We find the homepage of the hotel not very clear. Also negative noticed the front desk. We had problems with our bank card and wanted the credit money. Unfortunately was at a saturday and in Istanbul banks saturday basically closed. At the front desk wanted one against signature no money return (this is ok, even if our data deposited were), you could but also no bank name, the saturday is. We were with a lapidary 'sorry, sir, only with pin' leave. We then otherwise inquire directions (in a 12 million city not so very simple!). We have half a day lost. Here i would have more helpfulness and knowledge from the reception expected (whereas you had to say, that the istanbul otherwise all very helpful were, otherwise we would have the open bank probably not found). But also other questions was the reception overstrained. Conclusion Istanbul is great! The hotel unfortunately not! read hotel review

An appealing hotel, pleasant clientele, great transport connection and location for excursions from tram stop 'beyazit', delicious and varied breakfast with a great view on the sea of marmara with decent klassikmusik in the background, change of towels every day, safe in the room, even slippers!, all really nice and accomodating, from the airport sabhia göcek about 2 hours directions plan, every 30 minutes the havatas -buses to taksim square, 12 tl (about 5 €per person), running time: 1 hour, then from taksim square with the f1 ( unterirrdische cog railway) further to endhalte tram kabatas and from there with ... the tram to beyazit. ( chip costs 3 tl), with the istanbulcard only 1,95 Euro, this also applies to the ferries, buses. We were over easter for 4 nights at the antik hotel. Check in from ataturk airport with the metro/tram in a relatively short time for 6 tl (2 chips) per person. The walk from the tram station laleli or beyazit maximum of 5 minute. The staff at the check-in was neither friendly nor unfriendly, rather reserved. Room 327 on the 3. floor to the street, rather small, bed too small, bathroom also very compact. Room cleaning and daily change of towels and thorough. Breakfast on the 5. floor with a terrace and views of the marmara sea. Choice at the ... breakfast is very plentiful, since really everybody could find something, but the old suffering completely many hotels: the coffee from the vending machine simply more inedible. Traffic connections are very good, busy street directly next to it. The town itself: the total madness, people on people, all hectic and busy. We stayed in the blue mosque and in suleymaniye mosque, whereas i last better pleased, and not so crowded. At the Hagia Sophia was on all days the queue for tickets, and then the line at the entrance much too long, there would be a wait of at least 2 hours met. In the Topkapi-palace there was a very long line, but left a very short line, as you can get the tickets from the machine move, either in cash or with credit, is super fast. Topkapipalast is fascinating, splendor without limits. Galata Bridge and tower also great panorama. Bosperusfahrt we made a short, 2-hour until 2. bosperusbrücke for 10 tl per person made, you have to see. Istanbul is worth several travel, hectic in the positive sense. Antik hotel is location wise brilliant, room and bed are too small, but nevertheless, recommendable. read hotel review

Good hotel in immediate proximity to the sights, nevertheless in quiet lateral road located. Station of the tram about 100 meters away. Comfortable, clean rooms with a small bathroom, unfortunately noisy, but for a stay of five days not so disturbing. Rich breakfast buffet, the in the restaurant with roof terrace is served. From there you have a wonderful view on the sea of Marmara. Friendly staff in the hotel, at the front desk only English spoken. read hotel review

The hotel is relatively clean and tidy and has a great location right in the old town from Istanbul, is thus ideal for the sightseeing ( Hagia Sophia, Blaue Moschee and so on). If you however evenings gladly leave or simply beautiful eat out would like to, the hotel is not suitable, since the traffic connections with the tram and taxis although it is very good thing is, you however because of the chaotic very long on the way is; you should in any case a hotel in Neustadt Istanbuls choose. The breakfast buffet was sufficient and the breakfast room ... has a great view on the bosphorus. A large downside is however the clairaudience in the hotel, you could almost every word, as well as radio and TV from the adjoining rooms loud and clearly hear and sleep was unfortunately during our four-day stay very short! read hotel review

The hotel makes an elegant impression. The rooms are small, but stylish decorated. Our bathroom was however tiny and not renovated. Everything was clean. Towels were changed daily, even if you did not want it. Breakfast room with terrace and buffet are very nice! The rooms are small, but very nice designed. There is a fridge, the big enough is, for a 1 liter bottle of unterzubekommen. There is a safe and enough schrankfläche. Our beds were separated provided, but very comfortable. A nice view from the window does not exist, however therefor no noise from the street and a working air conditioning. The bathroom is tiny and our bathroom was not renovated. The tiles are old, as well as the bath tubs-shower. However it was clean and therefore ok.

  • Gastronomy
    5.0

Breakfast there are from 7:00 until: o'clock. At: o'clock with the clearing started. The choice is very extensive from sausage, cheese, olives, scrambled egg or alternative, cooked egg, jams, honey, nussnougat-creme and some locals treats. There are always coffee, tea and juices. The hotel restaurant is priced rather high. We didn't use it, therefore no review possible.

  • Service
    4.0

The staff are friendly. At the front desk English spoken, however with very strong accent, so that it nevertheless sometimes difficulties understanding returns. To check out has we are a airport transfer offered as an alternative to the taxi. Price was a bit higher than the taxi ride.

It is located about 80 meters away of the main street in a side alley, in the no cars go. Therefore, it is pleasantly quiet. The taxi stops on the main street, the last meters you go on foot. The hotel has a central location. On the road are a lot of pubs, as well as the main sights.

Good city hotel with small mäkeln archived

We have 7 nights antique hotel in Istanbul. Altogether a very good Turkish four star hotel, very clean, staff okay and ideal from here routes through the city undertake, since the hotel in the touristic center from Istanbul is. We all have excursions and tours from here on foot started and if we had the Laufens tired we were the tram, the 500 meters from the hotel away the next station (station 'big bazaar' ). The breakfast typically Turkish with a lot of cheese ( Fetal, goats and cream cheese in all variations) and lots of different Pastries. Also muesli ..., yoghurt and fruit, as well as a corner with sausages and scrambled egg are to find. Really great I found, that the buffet very good was labeled in several languages. We had a standard room with 2 separate beds booked through öger tours. One notices, that the hotel is relatively new and not worn. The only negative point was, that the hotel very badly soundproofed is. From quiet Sleep no trace, only with Ohrsöpseln we could any sleep. Perhaps this was due to the location our room: we had the room directly next to the elevator on the third floor. If someone from the elevator risen is you had the feeling the people stand with us in the room. By the size well, a bit narrow for 2 people with luggage for 7 days, but very nicely decorated with kind details, amongst others uS expected on the day of the trip there a vase with fresh flowers. The cleanliness and thoroughness the room women you can very praise! Rarely I have a so clean hotel room had. No Stones on the floor, no hair in the bed, the bathroom without traces of limescale or mold! Since May many other hotels a slice! The staff at the reception were okay. They friendliness not lukewarm, if you possibilities the progressive movement and direction will ask you give any advice, but the award for hospitality and service, I would not give. I the hotel can recommend, rate but any ear plugs pack-) read hotel review

* breakfast in wonderful Rooftop restaurant with a terrace and grandiosem view of the Marmara sea * very friendly staff -special. Doormen and waiter in the restaurant. On the final day of the stay we had a very pleasant and interesting conversation to the manager of the hotel. * excellent public transport-access: the hotel lies just a stone's throw from the trolley station, with direct access to eminonu direction (there is the ferry terminal for Bosphorus tours, rides on the Asian side, etc.) and on the golden Horn in the direction Taksim is. * the Antique -hotel lies in ... the old town: many of the historic sights ( Hagia Sophia, blue Mosque, topkapi Palace, grand bazaar etc.) are through a small walk or a few stops away with the tram to reach. The other side of the coin: the old town is touristy very crowded, the established restaurants and cafes are mostly overpriced and close early. Area such as Taksim, Beyoğlu (and after an exciting Fährquerung the Bosphorus also kadikoy), in which the modern Istanbul pulses, are equipped with one-time Transfer however very fast to reach. * A very relaxing Square outside the beyazit mosque and the University is in five minutes footpath to reach. * the hotel lies in one of the most metropolis the world with 1001 faces and a story from thousands of years, the always worth a visit.-) read hotel review
