In the Hotel Athina we had a very pleasant no brainer holiday experienced. Very friendly and casual atmosphere, varied kitchen it cooks the boss himself, drink prices oK, and the best is the view of of the terrace. Kreta IS AWSOME! read more

The place Bali on Kreta was really very nice, as several beach sections and many possibilities to go out for evenings had. Otherwise you can by car the area is very good explore and more beautiful Cities in a short period of time reach. The hotel had a great view from the rooms, as well as from the restaurant. However were the rooms very simple held, no trace of coziness and the rooms were only very roughly during the stay cleaned. The breakfast buffet was sufficient, however was the dinner rather something for the small hunger and some days absolutely ... not to our taste. Unfortunately repeated the food also often. Recommend the hotel only with breakfast to book, as it enough taverns in the town, where you good and cheap food. read more

If you just want to laze around and not so ' kleinkarriet ' is this hotel perfect! Because it already somewhat older is some' signs of wear ' in the bathroom ( mold) but if you consider the hotels bosses simply super helpful, one fast over some ' flaws' away. The dinner is in 3-course menu very good if it too few should be ask you, if you like. As I read here several times, ' there is no tv ' oh dear, is it so important on vacation? Very nice am hang located hotel with beautiful view of the port and in the bay of Bali. The hosts ( two brothers) are very helpful and provide information ( in general in English). The breakfast buffet with vegetables, cheese, sausage, marmelade, honey and different müslisorten more than adequate and very tasty. Coffee, tea, water and orange juice are also always ready. The hotel guests should good on foot untewegs be, because the slope now times again and again stairs to climb there. ( about 170 steps from eingangsbogen to the front desk). There is also the possibility the hotel ... in the upper level with a car maximumly and the innkeepers could help with the luggage. read more

Unfortunately corresponds the hotel not always the description. For example there is no the room a tv.
Cleaned during the 2 weeks exactly one time. That is far from enough! We had therefore itself every day sweeping the room. There was no shower curtain and soap only on request.
Staff were very friendly and willing to help. Also the food was of the finest quality. Merely the portions were a bit small and the drinks prices a bit higher, than in the bars.
Bali gladly anytime again! Athina just in case of an emergency. read more

The hotel is on a mountain and offers a wonderful view. From the terrace you can the harbor see. It is a very nice family-run hotel, suitable for guests with not too high expectations. The beach is only 5 minutes away path. The Paths in Bali are very steep, since the village on the hill residential. read more

The hotel is in a very steep hillside, so that one quite fitnessman must. Stairs included. To to our room there were 109 steps and from here once again 65 steps to the restaurant.
In the rooms there is no tv!
We booked half board, it is enough however perfectly, if one only breakfast.
From young to old everything was represented and the nationalities were mixed. read more

We were to second time in Bali, this time we had our friends and family for everyone.
It was an amazing vacation
Incredible great atmosphere comes from the locals go.
Clean, clear sea.
Delicious food in the taverns.
The hotel is about 150 meters from the sea, but a giant view of the sea.
Rooms were okay and clean.
We will certainly come often in Bali vacations.
Tip: hotel I would only with breakfast book, as the cuisine in the taverns simply hammer taste. read more

This was the first time I have travelled alone and was lucky to find this place near the centre of Bali. Stunning views over the village and into the harbour. As an alternative to dining at the Athina reataurant try the Best Taverna run by the owners sister. I can highly recommend the slow roast pork...Delicious. As for Hotel Athina, I will see you all next year. read more

What can I say ? Fantastic Hotel. Staff very hospitable and friendly. Definately back next year and will recomend Athina to anyone who wishes to explore Crete and want a quiet, chilled out holiday with great local bars and restaurants. Wish I had found it earlier. read more

The value for money was Correct. I found the food ok. The dinner was always very tasty. The complex and the hotel room were clean. Criticism is the bathroom, it is very small and after showering stood for several hours the water in the bathroom, the mattresses had no good quality, one could the feathers/springs feel. All together I found the hotel okay and would recommend to others, if you are extremely picky, you should better a four-star hotel choose. read more

The Hotel Athina in Bali on Kreta is very recommendable. It is very simple held, but all requests. Our room, the bathroom, the restaurant, the pool - everything was in good to very good condition and always very clean. Breakfast was a bit monotonous. It was the dinner varied and tasty. Merely the way to and from to the beach is a bit cumbersome. There are although it is only 300 meters, they have it but, because the hotel on the hill. At 35 degrees and gaudy sun you the rise already times in the sweat. Playgrounds or other Chilled ... does not exist, are for us a beach vacation but also unnecessary. Particularly positive: the two Brothers, the hotel snhl, are without exception friendly, helpful and give you a the feeling, a cherished guest. Even the children help in the holidays with and are really lovely. Rarely is so much cordiality met. In short: anytime again gladly.
Oh yes, it is true: it is in the stairs ants, but these disturb neither let these climatic proportions probably avoid. In the rooms and at the pool everything was OK. read more

The hotel is as three star hotel functional. There is no tv in the room, internet is available in the dining room for 2 Euro per hour available. The rooms are simple furnished and clean, cleaning cleaned daily, towels and bed sheets all 2 days changed, a terrace/ balcony ( most with a view of the sea) and a safe belong to the room.
From the beach one reaches after! 192 steps! The hillside hotel, which thus is not wheelchair accessible. Also for families with small children respectively baby carriage the hotel isn't recommendable ( we had our 16 -months-old ... son thereby), because in addition to the steps are also the streets - like Kreta generally usual-very steep. A brought back cradleboard we found very helpful.
Shops there are nearby plentiful, however to good prices. With sun Cream for example you should at home good setting, because 15 to euros costs a small bottle! Against you pay however for a 6. pack water ( per half liter) only 1.70 Euro - and you need to Kreta plentiful-).
Excursions of the travel guide in the hotel offered, are but also rather expensive. If possible, you should a rental car and on your own the island explore.
Restaurants/ taverns and evening entertainment in other hotels are available. The Athina itself there are no evening entertainment. The prices in the taverns are OK - for 2 adults with appetizer, main course and drinks we have around 25 €paid.
The beach you reached over the lots of stairs after approximately 10 minutes, the water even in the deep still crystal clear and there is a small intact coral reef directly in the bay. For snorkeling ideal! In addition one gets at any time of the day a Liege at the beach, which one-in the package (2 chairs plus sun screen) - for 6 Euro per day can rent. The beaches were never felt crowded and always clean.
The two Brothers, the hotel lead, were in any case mostly friendly and helpful and tried, to fulfill every wish. Only drawback for us: the hotel owns no high chairs, so you have to for the food the children on the lap hold.
The main language was mostly English. German understands both in the hotel, as well as in the place almost nobody.
On arrival one with a car with the suitcases picked up and the steep street hinaufgefahren -on the way home one must this way however even cope.
The gastronomische range in the hotel we found rather average. The breakfast finds as a buffet instead of-light and dark pieces (no rolls), Butter, jams, Cerelalien, yoghurt, cheese, milk and coffee. The dinner there is menu Form: appetizer ( mostly a soup), small main course ( unfortunately rarely Greek food, mostly to German tourists adapted) and salad ( once a week there is a dressing ), as a dessert always a small plates melons or fruit plates. We were often in the tavern food, since the dinner definitely not saturated and (at least) tasted. The beverages of course ( with the half-board) extra pay - we arrived for 11 days at 45 €.
To the hotel belongs also a pool, the usually empty, clean and thus was well usable.
Child care, playground or open spaces in particular small children running there is no.

We stayed at Hotel Athina for 2 weeks after being recommended by a friend. We had a fantastic holiday, staff were friendly and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble.
We would like to say a Big Thankyou to the owners George and Vasilis. Food was excellent and we had no fighting over the beds at the side of the pool like other holidays we have gone on. Plenty of room round the pool. Really enjoyable holiday and would go again. read more

We stayed in the Athina in 2011 and 2012. We were welcomed by the owners on our arrival and were happy to have the same room in 2012 as in 2011. They noticed our last name, even though we booked through a different travel agent, and gave us the same room. What a wonderful surprise!! Now that is service you will seldom receive.
The apartment was clean and large enough for our family.
The bathroom is small but orderly.
No TV so what?? When you take the family on vacation, there should be some quality time, and here you will ... find just that.
The furniture is not the best, but you can unpack and most everything is orderly. The air conditioning works like a champ.
We booked half board and the food was great. Everyone has enough to eat and the quality is good.
Beaches there are 5 beaches in Bali and all have their own flair. You do have to pay for the beach Lounges, but that is not really a factor. There are a variety of restaurants near the beach and they are inexpensive and with a wide variety. read more

Stayed at the Hotel Athina on a friends recommendation who visits frequently. I wasn't disappointed. Bali was a wonderful place and the apartment was very good value for the price.
