Very good location directly in the center, hotel, restaurant and bar very nice. Large rooms with lots of window area, two large beds, very large flat screen tv, very good working heating, bathroom and other decor ok, but nothing special.

Stylish city hotel in central location archiviert
- November 2010
On our new Zealand trip we stayed here our third stop and were very pleased with this hotel. Located near the octagon, are all important locations in Dunedin from the hotel within easy walking distance. Our room was very spacious and quite modernly (some say cool in addition) installed. With tv, hair dryer and ' coffee making facilities 'It was also sufficiently equipped. Everything was clean and in good condition. The beds were tight and not worn out. The bathroom was very clean and quite spacious. Breakfast is served as a buffet in the restaurant and with $29, -per person ... but relatively expensive.
Modern city archiviert

The Scenic Circle Dunedin City hotel is a very modern hotel in a very central location of Dunedin. The Octagon George street, the main shopping street and the train station are within easy walking distance. Lobby, reception, bar and restaurant are on the ground floor, the integrated in a huge room with large glass walls visible from the outside. maintaining modern fixtures and fittings. On me feel cool such designer furnishings and not cozy. The 110 rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The fittings and preferred being dark colors but gloomy and sterile, although light from two windows in the ... room is the for example. In our room was. From a we had a nice view of the harbor. Breakfast and dinner, the than 3 course evening meal served was really good. I even with the dessert was pleased with the "design" (see picture). In conclusion, if you designer hotels and delicious food, well cared for in this city hotel. P. p. in Dunedin is a second Scenic Circle Southern Cross Hotel, just two blocks from the City hotel is located. This is the casino in the town. Even if you don't want to play, you should visit the hotel. enquiries, and ceiling of the casino are really worth seeing. Both hotels, the city and the Southern Cross decorate in their brochures with "outsiders springs", the city with beautiful stained glass windows and the Southern Cross with a fantastic hall. These things but not there, but in the train station to admire the city are, first site. The don't like it. This is not now my problem.
Highly Recommended, central city hotel archiviert

We were there as part of our round-NZ trip. The hotel was centrally located: 15 minute walk to the Intercity bus, about a 10 minute walk from the train station (Taieri Gorge Railway: to recommend) and 5 minute walk to the Octagon in the city center with Infocenter, shops and restaurants. Rooms are spacious, clean, and modern (not our taste, as all in dark brown and decorated very sterile). TV (no German program), heating, hair dryers, Bügeleisen Everything was available. The beds (mattresses) were good and not worn out. Fruehstuecksbufett was also ok. On excursions), he did we have made ... the following: Larnach Castle (only castle in NZ), sightseeing, visit Cadbury chocolate factory, Taieri Gorge Railway to Middlemarch and not to be missed: a trip with Elm Wildlife tours to seals and Gelbaugenpinguinen.
