We went to Dominican Republic for a holiday break from March 2nd to 9th, and stayed at this hotel, room 2005. We've paid $24 for 6 days for a safe to keep our personal belongings. It only worked properly on March 5th. We went to the reception many times and asked for repairs, but the safe was never fixed. We had to take our belongings with us every time we leave our room for something. It was very inconvenient for us and we were very disappointed with the service. We asked for a refund as we were leaving the hotel ..., but the reception acted as if we lied, and did not believe us. We had to ask for the manager, who came out and gave us the refund. We paid $4 anyway because of that one day which the safe worked.
The one thing we liked most is the quality and service of the restaurant. It offered a variety of delicious food. The services provided to us by Manuel, the restaurant's reception, and Wanda, the hostess, are particularly enjoyable. Manuel was very observant and attentive. She offered to take a photo for us, we were grateful for her offer, so we invited her to take photos with us. read more

I don't know where to begin. What a holiday. We were a little worried about all the stairs, but it only helps to wear off the amazing food and drink we consumed. Don't listen to any bad reviews. You are bound to run into a few minor things but remember you are on holiday, so don't sweat the small stuff! The hotel was extremely clean and well maintained. The weather and natural beauty of the area was the icing on the cake! We are definitely going to save to come back as soon as possible.
Thanks again, everyone for a ... wonderful vacation. We will definitely come back. read more

Very negative is the long transfer from Puerto Plata after samana, that goes to santo domingo much faster and the, although an airport on the ground! I been att the hotel for two weeks and have a wonderful holiday. We were five persons i age between 28 and 65 and we all enjoid the wisit. The food was excellent and the staff in the restaurant was so frendly. A big hug to David and Claudio, we always got a big smile from them and they do evrything for give us the best. At the poolarea we have very fun with the different games and activities. Frenando was the best and we all just love him! A big hug to him! He makes so many fun things ... and activities for us. Juan and Yeson was also great at the beach.We hope they will be there if we come back next year.It will not be the same if they not be there! The room was excellent but the bathroom littel small. The pillos very hard.

We had relaxation, sun, beach & sea requested, this is all entered.
The staff were for us as a large family, the dominican are a proud people, we have always taken into account and hospitality always were rewarded.
The area is totally green, the hotel complex spacious and very well maintained. The beach isn't very large, we also to the smaller beach often thrown back. An experience for us was the use by locals, the mostly with the vacations in the line of their free time at the beach spent ( by 'Polish' & security guards).
We would gladly come ... again, think, for families with children the hotel is also ideal.
A point of criticism is however: the very long transfer after puerta plata! Why not the airport samana use? read more

The Gran Bahia Principe Cayacoa captivates with its one-time location on a cliff. From almost every point of the large complex the view on one of the two bays. The area is mountainous, very green and lush. Via outdoor elevator (!) you get to the small bathing beach. This can really not with the powder beaches from the television advertising to keep up. But he was at the time of our stay always clean and never crowded. It is animation offered, but very unobstrusive. Who its peace would like to have, is for certain a spot after its taste.
The ... food in the various restaurant exceeded our expectations. Selection, quality and variety left nothing to be desired. Okay the beach is not with the Punta Cana to comparisons but we have known.
We enjoyed the one-time views and great service from this hotel favorite.
The food was for our taste really good, especially the specialties restaurants are simply brilliant.
Who the first time in the DOM Rep fly you should prefer the region on the Punta Cana choose, then the Caribbean flair really over. The endless beaches are simply super, but also full.
Those who, like we already many corners of the beautiful Island knows searches then always something new.
In samana is it a lot quiet ... and green. We'have in February 2011 in the bay from samana and the bum back whale looked at, that is an unforgettable experience.
So the best time to travel the Cayacoa visiting the February to end of March because the whales as their young to bear and new offspring to witnesses. Of course, the other months your charms.

We spent our honeymoon spent in this hotel. US was from the start clear earlier it is, that means also here as' beach for dogs' designated beach was not surprise. We have this hotel in dependence on the great reviews from holidaychec. Since we the last vacation always very satisfied were we this time on the reviews leave. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed!
We know Puerto Plata from last year and the cayacoa in Samara even better from the beach etc. Are.

Certainly a most beautiful vacations the my wife and I ever have spent together.
I am with 56 years well travelled, but such perfection I rarely where.
I can only resort most warmly recommend, the quality of the hotel, the service, the food, the cleanliness the entire area is simply incredibly high and perfect. The Gran Bahia Principe Cayacoa that its 5 stars fully. It also has not at all disturbed that we despite request a ebenerdiges room, but on the second floor were- we could evenings our daily three quarters of an hour the private jacuzzi, completely unimpaired by ... views other, enjoy. We were satisfied all around and are happy for these 'corner of the Caribbean' decided to - the value for money was almost perfect. The buffet was extremely quality and variety, there was daily at least 10-12 different meals to the choice and if that's not enough there were always 2-3 chefs ready individually from a rich selection of raw meat, seafood or fish freshly grilled delicious prepared.
