The room with 2 queen beds was very spacious and you heard nothing from the neighbors or the nearby airport. Cleanliness was very good, is unfortunately no matter more in the USA.

The hotel is just a typical airport hotel and probably for arriving or transfer in jfk thought. With the train it is then less than an hour to downtown Manhattan. There is however a free shuttle bus to the airport.

If you booked a room in new York, so you pay only for the location and get a run down room. Quite different in the Hampton inn JFK: the rooms are large, clean, well equipped, sound-insulating windows have, so that the aircraft noise didn't bother us. The rest of the condition of the hotel is great. There is even a well-equipped small fitness studio for the guests. The breakfast is free and perfect for American hotels, there is always something for everyone: cereal, waffles, pastries, toast, fruit, various sorts of tea/coffee, cocoa, and many others. It is Einwegeschirr, the plates ... are from strength, so that they are compostable-for the United States a rarity! In the breakfast room there is live the takeoff of the middle JFK airport, as well as tv. The airport is close and with the hotel shuttle in about five minutes reachable. From there you can take the airtrain to the subway, with the about 50 minutes in Manhattan is. The hotel lies in a residential part of the city, the a safe impression. Many houses are decorated for Christmas. The Staff at the front desk is very nice and helpful, what new York is also a rarity. Conclusion: don't hesitate, book! It it is worthwhile. read more

Hampton inn is a high-rise building and is located in a row with other airport hotels just a short five minutes drive from JFK airport. If you are on a higher floor, you have a direct view of the airport and landing strips away the skyscraper of Manhattan.HCLFHLHCLFHLThe hotel is a very good choice to relax after a long flight to relax and wait for a night for a connection flight. In addition to a free shuttle service to the airport, the hotel offers free Wi-Fi in all rooms and a fitness room. The rooms are cozy and contemporary ... installed. Typically American sleeping on (high) king beds. The modern flatscreen tv with numerous channels you can surf and a Hollywood-stripes as evening look. Much more choice to spend the evening there is not, as the hotel is located in infrastructure loose desert. Apart from the airport and settlements is no restaurant or a supermarket within easy reach. The Hampton inn offers as well as included breakfast but food at all other times at. HCLFHLHCLFHLA tip: if you at the front desk for a taxi would like, you have to say, that a 'yellow cab'. Alternatively, the front desk call a taxi, to undertake is private, determine without counter and the prices arbitrarily itself, which made it (especially as 'unsuspecting ' tourist) 4 times the price.HCLFHL read more

We spent one night here, before we flew back home. A good, clean Hotel, what more could you didn't say. Our room was quite large, the bathroom also, large tv. Breakfast included, typical American buffet... There is a shuttle, the runs regularly to the terminals. We wanted to ask for late check-out, which we unfortunately had not been granted, because the Hotel total was fully booked. That was a shame, but good, there were of course a claim on it... read more

The area you can certainly not within walking distance. From JFK Airport you need a taxi anyway.
