We have us huge on the us as a 4-star Chateau-vaunted hotel pleased when we arrived there has us but almost fainted met. As the hotel in a skiing area, all restaurants were closed in the vicinity. We seemed almost the only guests to be also. The hotel made a very weathered impression on us. Everywhere was leaves around, the hallways smelled musty and cats. The hotel is very nice to look at, all in wood and in the winter probably very cuddly. It is a pool and two restaurants, as well as a ski rental.
We were but in ... the summer there. We have checked in and are through the dark wood course to our room. It elevators. The room was from the size okay. But again extremely dark. On the balcony it smelled somewhere for two days and was the floor in the bathroom was also not clean (various hair). The pool was also a long time not more comfortable and was something rotten (leaves from outside, dark, smelled old water). For the pool it was extra towels at the reception. Unfortunately with various stains.
The breakfast the next day (the we got paid by the hotel) was unfortunately also not better. It was brought to our room. Cereal was OK, the milk was but rather to dye or powder angerührtes water with. Milk and coffee were not to enjoy the cloth napkins were dirty and. In the restaurant we wanted to eat then nothing more.
Furthermore, is still to mention, that you from the hotel on the mountains has no view, the beginning of the thong riro Crossings is about 45 minutes away (car). However it are various hiking trails directly in front of the hotel, through the rainforest. Restaurants, bars and supermarkets are actually directly in the proximity. Unfortunately in the new zealand summer mostly closed!
