We inhabited a room in the first floor, near the stairwell location. This was not the standard of 4 stars, especially the bath not (a renovation was loud staff before). Very annoying i found the toilet noises (!) From an adjoining room. The loud noise from the hallway and stairwell in the morning wore not to be comfortable near.

Breakfast is in this house varied and varied delicious. Only the rolls were not the high standard of the other offer. This seems a problem many hotels to be. Why you are not from the ' classic bakery ' around the corner supplied? In the panorama restaurant one sat at the window of course best, the food is plentiful and of the best quality, politely and forestalling served.

The staff's hospitality, as well as the complete service was nothing to complain about and exemplary, if we on arrival by the boss himself a snub for unauthorised parking at the unloading of the car were given. Perhaps this zone was clear signage are, because the space is rare and scarce.

The hotel is located in a gorgeous area amid the basteigebietes. From the architecture, it is well adjusted. We had the luck, the turn of the year to experience and have a short-term booking no moment regret it. The new year's offer was adequate the price and the amenities appropriate.

Directly on one of the most beautiful viewpoints of germany are, is certainly only a few hotels down, additionaly amid a wandergebietes. The accordingly the location quiet and close to nature is, seems logical.

The standard double room are certainly no palaces, for a short stay however more than adequate. The furnishing is contemporary and functional. Furniture and wall designs are modern and tasteful. There was a wardrobe, a closet with hangers and shelves, desk with lcd tv and writing things, 2 chairs and a small table, as well as of course, a double bed. We had a balcony with a table and two chairs. Especially we liked the design of the bathroom, the spacious shower, sink, large mirror, makeup/shaving mirror, toilet and heated towel rack was. Were available next to the toilet paper, liquid soap for the hands and to showers tissues. The bathroom design for our taste of high quality materials with modern colors and light combined. Air conditioning, safe, mini bar does not exist. At the high-summer temperatures would be a air conditioning certainly have been desirable. Here we could every evening from three main courses select, additionally gave it appetizer and dessert. In the 10 days our stay the dishes repeated not once. The atmosphere in the panorama restaurant was very relaxed, without a certain dress code emphasis. The service staff was very friendly and worked with such professionalism, as you nowadays in the food area only is rare. The waitresses and waiter were always attentive, without being pushy. The dishes, which we as a part of our menus got were optically and tasted of the best quality. It was the classic German respectively saxon kitchen apparently newly interpreted and with contemporary elements combined. It is definitely recommendable, the three-course -menu to book, you can get in the proverbial joy of dishes, the otherwise not on the normal menu to find. As icing on the cake for the food we found every evening from new the indescribable nice view of our window seat on the elbe valley, with a view of the jagged rock landscape with lilienstein and königstein.

From the staff we can only say the best. From the reception, over the restaurant-staff to the housekeepers were all staff members and employees themselves in at least stressful times always very friendly and ready to help. It fell us positive, that the staff( inside) together a very refined handling maintained. What the foreign languages skills of the staff regards, so we have even received, that the communication on English obviously not a problem represents. In the hotel can (usually of course against an extra charge) numerous additional services taken into account are. Belonged amongst others also a cleaning service for clothes. The guests come too many from different areas germany. Our impression after it mostly so-called 'best ages' respectively older guestid. Families with children were during our stay but rather the exception.

The location of the hotel right on the world-famous basteifelsen is of course the unbeatable as. As a hotel guest has almost the pole position, what the bastei bridge regards. Otherwise there are plenty of known and popular sights the Saxon Switzerland respectively of the elbe sandstone mountains from the hotel on a hike easy to reach.
