The Ipek palas is a typical city hotel. It is older and partly a bit worn, but clean. There were all nationalities represented, of all ages.

A hotel for all, the short walk to the sights from Istanbul to have would like. Much and very good restaurants just a few strides away from the hotel.
Occasional construction noises ( at night) a bit annoying.
Taxi Transfer from the airport to hotel not a problem, circa 20 Euro. Back to the airport with the shuttle bus, 5 Euro. read more

The reception area is very attractive. With Barockmöbeln equipped, marble floors, very stylish. But when w came in our room, pure disappointment. Very very small room, bathroom even smaller! Can no 2 people stop. A fatter person would be the shower not fit into it. Very narrowing everything been. The air conditioning worked only when it wants. We then complained at the front desk 3 times, until someone came, then but nevertheless not working. On the other side of the road exactly a huge construction site, where probably only at night and in the morning being worked on. So to ... sleep rather bad, but when alarm clock very helpful.
A hotel for people, no high expectations have. Only for sleeping to the hotel go. But I have to say, the bed was not really for a few thought, but more like a human being. Tram, shops, restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Sights are also partly very close. read more

Directly next to the hotel, there is mediocre for the new subway, the mainly at night is active. The window must definitely remain closed.
•the breakfast room is unfortunately in the basement, whether the hotel a beautiful roof terrace has.
• the breakfast was already one hour before the end not more refilled.
• the location is from spoken good, however there are several hotels in the immediate area, the probably significantly better.
•the time the hotel 4 star was longer time gone. read more

Awesome small rooftop terrace restaurant with a view of the bosphorus, for dinner and meetings (for meetings not over travel agency book, but at the front desk!). Incredibly beautiful place!
- very nice, helpful staff, also for special requests.
- Beware: Covered, locked building site for subway in direct neighborhood (only at night active, 22 to 1 hour) did not disturb me. If you absolutely still need for sleeping, for the Istanbul then also definitely not the right. Or he is the window to.
- breakfast buffet is tasty, dinner ( menu) also.
- the hotel is in a perfect ... location: within walking distance (7 minutes) the blue Mosque and to the galatabrücke, tram and the train station around the corner, and the ferries to the Asian side direct proximity - a big plus! read more

The hotel Ipek Palas is very centrally located. Our room was right next to a construction site, the noise nuisance was good window however bearable. On foot are sights as Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace very easy to reach. The rooms were clean and right spacious. The staff were very nice and helpful. We booked half board. The breakfast consisted of a rich and varied buffet. Evenings we could between 4 different menus. The dinner was good quality, however somewhat monotonous. read more

The hotel is already a bit outdated, power however a clean impression. The furniture is about antiquated but OK. Our room was big enough, only the bathroom could be more spacious, or counters would be very helpful. From the breakfast buffet we were a bit disappointed, especially, because there is no fresh fruit gave. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Thank you! As a starting point for sightseeing is the location of the hotel ideal. Sights and öffentiche transport are in shortest time easy to reach on foot. read more

The hotel lies in the old town. Since there in a side street is, there is not so much traffic. However is located opposite a large construction site, on the day and night being worked on. Here is a large hole visible and the work is all ' in days' instead of (presumably it is the new metro over the Bosphorus ). With the window closed but not very much of the constant activities.
Very many sights ( Hagia Sophia, blue Mosque, Topkapi/Palace, and so on) in about 10 to 15 minutes easy to reach on foot. The next stop ... the tram (gulhane) is 5 minutes away.
The complete hotel staff was very nice and helpful.
Our room was although it is very small and the bathroom tiny, but for sleeping completely sufficient.
If you have time in Turkey was, knows how the breakfast appears. It is next to 2-3 types of sausage also sheep cheeses, olives and salad offered. Everything always fresh. read more

The hotel is located close to the old town in a side street. The hagia Sophia, the blue mosque, the topkapi/palace as well as are reachable in just a few minutes walking. The staff at the front desk was nice, but were later at the orders of pillows and towels have problems with the communication on, which resulted in even a return visit to the front desk, well. The rooms are very small, the bathroom was tiny, the furniture was already quite shabby, but as you relax with a city break, as well as only in our room to sleep ..., to deal with. Another drawback is the clairaudience of the hotel. From time to time we had the feeling to our neighbors 'break ' us. The breakfast offer was rather poor, and for those German taste was a bit hard to get used to, the 'coffee' is not sound. On drive away are the ' juices 'from the juice maker machine., enjoy it. A tip here, if you look at the Seven euro rise of Galata-Tower entrance for those looking to save money. Below the tower there is a great cafe, the 'cafe Konac', where from the rooftop terrace at least just as nice view over Istanbul as the Galata-the tower, and it would be able to get a coffee and a piece of cake and the view. read more

This hotel is distinguished by its central location. All attractions are within walking distance. In this metropolis throbs with life. The food itself is affordable in better restaurants. In the hotel all the staff was extremely helpful. The atmosphere in the hotel is very good. The breakfast buffet is adequate. If you're looking for a larger room, shouldn't book a standard room, but superior. This hotel we will book again next year! In and out of the airport and the hotel took a taxi (about 25 €more than) feasible without hesitation. The only downside: currently construction nearby! read more

Our aim was, of course, the sights of interest in Istanbul to visit and thus the hotel was Ipek Palas perfect for. The hotel is directly in the center, only few minutes on foot many sights away. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is OK. There are different things for fruit and vegetables but there is almost no sausage, which US however didn't bother us. It is therefore the typically Turkish breakfast. The best however the space was for the patrons breakfast. It is on the roof of the hotel and has a very beautiful view. On ... the surrounding small streets there are a lot of noise, but we had no problem. read more
