We have unfortunately not really comfortable. In the first room respectively on the whole hallway smelled (apparently fat from of the kitchen), it was not really clean, cobwebs, etc., very old decor and hardly any space in the room. The 2. room was a bit better, but we considered even to leave. Hauenstein as a place is at least not recommendable for winter stays, all restaurants were dead, after 20:30 o'clock it was difficult at all something to eat to get. The food selection at breakfast was very small. The owners are very friendly, the other staff should be ... trained, partly unfriendly, partly only a bit overwhelmed. read more

We stayed over the weekend to the christmas market in hauenstein to guests in this hotel. It was totally centrally located - also on foot the schuhdorf, just great.
What we didn't like so pleased, was the kochdunst, the in the rooms penetrated has, but the food very good.
If we once again shoes wish to buy and are exhausted home to drive, belben we gladly in the felsentor.
What is super nice, the coffee shop, everything was very nicely decorated. read more

very good kitchen, comfortable atmosphere. Ideal for people on business trip, since Wi-Fi and enough Outlets available.
parking spaces sufficient directly in front of the house. It is easy to get back on the highway.
what I liked very much, the possibility in the restaurant to eat, without the suit afterwards because of the smell of food in the cleaning must (good aired ). This is unfortunately in other restaurants not the case.

The hotel is in the third generation of the family K. run. You will heartfelt received and at any time is a contact person for questions and wishes reachable. All in all the hotel is very well maintained, the rooms are bright and spacious and are equipped with a walk-in wardrobe( small separate room). We had a balcony with us, on which one comfortably too secondly to sit and enjoy the peace and nature enjoyment can. The bathroom was mordernly decorated with two washbasin, a shower cabin and a separate toilet equipped.
the breakfast is more than enough and varied ..., there were different types of bread and rolls, various sausage and cheeses, marmelade yoghurt and quark dishes, muesli and fruit salad and on request, a cooked egg. At drinks there is mineral water, multivitamin juice and orange juice, to hot beverages one can between different teas and Kaffespezialtitäten as latte macchiato, latte or cappuccino choose.
we had half board and were from the culinary treats very pleased, you can tell that the chef (Mr K. senior) on a lot experience, he among other things in Switzerland has collected, and a lot Passion to his profession has. The food was from the amuse- Gueule to dessert excellent.
especially for the price Lovers of tradition and the sense of the old and beautiful things is Grandma's grocer recommended, here can one in Oma living room the sweet Treats or small hearty treats with orignal old dishes and cutlery indulge. Recommended are the rake and Grandma's homemade eggnog and don't forget the rostischen knight with Vanillesosse!
also loads the grocer exciting and discover a, lovingly decorated with old furniture equipped and utensils from the good old times decorated the pleasure of the collected treasures to look at. If somewhat like, you can even buy or one of Aunt cacilie simply a tablecloth, a cushion or a other Needlework from traditional Stoffmuster in patchwork or Quilttechnik make. A real family run with heart! read more

The hotel is a family-run hotel with 27 felsentor rooms. Here the guest is king. The reception was very warm. The hotel is tastefully decorated and the rooms in the new building are ultra modern.
we had half board and were every day on the new with a great breakfast buffet in the morning (homemade marmelade!) and fine delicacies from the kitchen in the evening spoiled.
there are in the hotel even a small shop. In the'grocer You can Laden' delicious food (original Palatinate kitchen having regard to the nature of the grandmother) or purchase souvenirs. The room is decorated ... as a living room of the three ziger. Very comfortable. read more

Quaint and cozy hotel-rather old-fashioned, in the cold rain November but it was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and wide, the staff and the service was friendly and helpful. Location is good, the shoe is not far. Otherwise, the place is however rather empty, is really only, if one just a weekend shoe paradise you want to spend. The restaurant in the hotel is very, very delicious and also offers more failed dishes. read more

Hello dear traveler,
my girlfriend and I were right at the beginning of the year a few days break on our way through the surround at Frankfurt and the googelen the hotel felsentor in the shoe shopping metropolis Hauenstein found. The family-run Hotel offers a very enjoyable restaurant and a small lounge with retro-decor and traditional Palatinate-courts. If you ' gentlemen and ladies' not as court knows, should stop here. With the snow and the many hiking trails we totally relaxed. The rooms were extremely clean and well maintained. The staff was always very friendly and helpfulness in search of ... large. I would recommend a stay at the felsentor only.
Thank you very much for the days. read more

Criticism: the breakfast buffet would have been good, it would have been refilled accordingly always (cold cuts/cheese). From a container with pickled fruit flies came forward. You had the impression, that the content of the pot was not renewed.
This led us to the devaluation in the area of service. The bathroom in the deluxe double room consisted of a sink a toilet and a shower with a wall about 20 centimeter high threshold. The check-in and get off just for easy people certainly not easy, since handles were missing. Tiles were cracked and it is further formed on the ... wall and on the soil black stains (black mold or dirt?). The bathroom, especially the shower is a deluxe room not worthy. This led us to the devaluation in the rooms.
Strange was also, that the waiters with a metal box with cash came, as we wanted to settle the bill of a meal. On the question, whether he (Visa) credit card which I imagine, he replied, it is better to have cash. This will also lead to devaluation in the area of service.
The hotel bill but we could pay back to normal with the credit card.
The hotel has no lift (devaluation, together with bath in the area was handicap friendly) read more

Small traditional family-run business. with regional cuisine with both savory and sweet specialties, there was something for everyone. Rooms facing the garden relatively quiet, views are lovely. In town there was a shoe museum and plenty of shoe stores. A real women's dream to really reasonable prices. Will stay here again next year with a friend. read more

The hotel felsentor is the ideal starting point for walks in the country rocks Dahner. Directly from the hotel one could start to tours beautiful. If you come back tired, can look forward to excellent cuisine, which is 08/15, a nice wine list and individual service. We were with our champagne package completely satisfied. A very nice family run hotel!
For conferences the hotel offers a beautiful garden floor room. The sauna is small, but clean, we didn't try it.
