The hotel is 4 star not barely well, but greek standards! The stay was alright the view, the pool always a pleasure! The location is ok, for food drink shopping there was a lot! But to the beach and into town about 2 kilometer! For people who fairly quiet but central to be ideal, the view at night is always great! read more

Last october my partner and I stayed at the Amazones Village Suites. The hotel is off the main resort in a quiet location but not far from the village center. tavernas and super markets are within walking distance, few minutes away from the hotel. The breakfast was excellent. We had a good variety of genuine greek products and the staff was very helpful. We had a suite side sea view; the room was big and clean and we had room service every day. Local tavernas were ok but also having a car gave us the opportunity to visit many places ... on the island. Overall we had a lovely time and we would return again. read more

We felt very comfortable in the friendly, family atmosphere of a small property. Quiet, no entertainment, relaxing. The staff was extremely friendly and nice and always open for a small talk in English. We recommend a rental car, because the Hotel located on the mountain high and the beaches far down by the sea. We had a suite with sea view, but there are also rooms with a view of Hauswände in four meters away, you should pay attention when booking! Otherwise you can hang out at the pool, the panoramic view is breathtaking, the delicious cocktails and the kids ... were able in the small, but nice pool splash, swimming and diving learning. Water was also available. Breakfast was very basic, typical Greek, but we were always full and, above all, breakfast is served until 10,30 o'clock. (For coffee drinkers: coffee cook!) taverns, restaurants and small shops were enough just below the area in the picturesque district of piskopiano. The above nearby motorway present we do not have one, not with the windows open. Therefore, we and our two kids (5 and 7) were very satisfied and would definitely come back. read more

-The room was very dirty, everything was dusty and sticky, towels with holes, door broken, unlockable.
-For breakfast no fresh, Cretan products, but only convenient products from Lidl.
In this hotel you don't want to put happy guests.
We are after three days in a small and very clean pension moved without stars and with views of the sea.
Conclusion: a very expensive holiday, since we had to ... pay-we will double with ltur and at the Amazones village a wide berth to make! read more

The location of the hotel is perfect, right on the party area in Chersonissos but only 2 km away so if needed - dip into the action at any time. Situated on a hill you can enjoy a great view of the ocean. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. The guests are middle-aged. equipped with a Mitcar one hand the ideal place to relax but also relatively quickly drive to many attractions. The breakfast is nothing to complain about, however, I would have wished fresh fruit to choose from. The room was clean and spacious. read more

Behind the area along the motorway. Sleeping with an open window wasn't unnderstand. Breakfast was very average. No fresh fruit, the Teewasser and the coffee tasted strongly of salt. It is definitely not a four star hotel. Our need for all inclusive is set for long time once again. read more

Beforehand: We were in June, the hotel was not fully booked, maybe 60 % occupied. Perhaps very quiet and pleasant atmosphere, requests were met mostly soon, and especially to 100 % satisfaction! Very nice staff, with which one could keep a little chat and which was always to small joke. Our room was with a direct view of the ocean ( go ahead and book if possible! ), There was an incredible view over Piskopiano and down to Chersonissos or to the sea and the whole coastline, as far as the eye can see! The rooms were adequate, not top ... modern, but also didn't look dated and had everything you needed, including a small kitchen. The size (super! ) and the small balcony completed the, great! The only shortcoming: The safe had to be paid extra (15 Euro), but of course not bad. The food: only booked breakfast, if that's enough absolutely solid gastronomy! Breakfast is also tasty and sufficient for Westerners servicing varied. For lunch or afternoon delicious snacks, but not cheap - but not overpriced either. ( Pita gyros, hamburgers, French fries, small salads, pasta, toast and so on and so on) Delicious cocktails and shakes are available throughout the day! At night we never ate there, but the menu offered while there were a few dishes. But! And now to the point: We can only recommend a rental car at this hotel, if you want to get out of the place. In Piskopiano there are many, many small taverns, bars, cocktail bars and so on. Safe in which you can also spend a week, definitely try a couple! But: to see more of the island and beautiful beaches ( Chersonissos = absolutely dirty and ugly! ) To experience with a rental car, you should go! Are not expensive (180 euros per week) and you were totally flexible. A few things on the internet beforehand, and then explore the island - highly recommended! All in all, this hotel, a rental car, a bit worried, but also scope of 1-2 days a week for things that could have discovered -> the perfect vacation! read more

Very nice staff, good breakfast buffet. Lunch or dinner at the hotel, but not necessarily recommendable unproblematic, as there are numerous fine, good restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The downside is the beautiful beaches of Crete almost only be reached by car. The beaches in Chersonissos are not really nice and relaxing. read more

We enjoyed our six nights on our honeymoon at this hotel. It is a very well-maintained hotel with 40 apartments. We stayed in the absolute-season. So were not so many guests in the hotel. The service is good and with a familiar atmosphere. However, one should not the service of a great four star hotels in Germany. Our apartment was large ( circa 35 m²) with a nice bathroom incl. Wirpoolwanne, which, however, we didn't go there. The kitchen is fully equipped. As we like to go on holiday to rent a car to explore the area instead of in ... the pool or beach, it didn't bother us that the beaches about 20 minute walk ( downhill or on) in Chessonisos. For the Poolerlebnis in between the pool is big enough. The Wasserquallität is very good. The hotel has a small gym, billiards and table tennis. Massages and wellness possibilities can be booked in the hotel (we didn't use it) and the neighboring city Koutuloufari Piskopiana the place are very nice. There are lots of nice tavernas and small stores for shopping and eating. In the near are two small supermarkets for the täglchen needs. In conclusion, we had great six days the Amazonas village suite with security and go again. The staff is super friendly and tried to meet your every need. We found this hotel is great for people who individualized service, explore the island and not only at the beach or pool. A rental car is a plus, as in the place no no public Nahverkehrt runs. Organised tours etc. Can be booked in the hotel. read more

The area was minimal conversation, broken, Damage and Unsaberkeiten ( mold in silicon joints) of all the places. If you want to get away early: No MERCY: No breakfast (-spaket) no hot water for showering. Rooms all accessible, but safe cost extra. The nearby place is set on niedrigpreisigen mass tourism - as in the hotel. The stars are indicated felt/over the top. I would not go again and I would not recommend it. read more

Thanks to the whole hotel crew; they were helpful and friendly. There are no mass tourism and no mass processing. Everything is very individuel; very nice guests (international). To our horrible conditon at were no children there. We had booked breakfast and did that on pool with fantastic views of the sea. Sometimes it was a bit windy, but at this heat, can be very pleasant. And if you have a apartment ( suite) with a view of the sea, you don't want to leave. The rooms were cleaned well and the bathroom was spacious and clean. The kitchenette was ... stocked with all the necessities. Our rental car was a bonus as the different beaches about 1.5 km away. Within walking distance you small villages, with many restaurants and stores within walking distance. They are touristy, but not intrusive. We'll be back! read more

We stayed in August 2009 a fantastic, 3 weeks at the Amazones Village. From the moment we arrived to 8:00 morning we noticed the friendly service and we could check into our room. Our wishes, we could always get taken care of immediately and were shown to our satisfaction. The whole Amazones team was always helpful and friendly. From our room/balcony offered a wonderful view over the village, on the vast coast. The rooms are nicely decorated and are cleaned daily. Towels were changed daily, bed linen on request as well as two or three times a week. The ... breakfast was tasty and varied. In the village or the three little villages aneinandergereihten Kotouloufari,Piskopiano and visit Pano Chersonisos there are many beautiful taverns, bars and shops. For the beach and for our excursions we used our car, otherwise we could but walking distance to everything. Especially fun we also found at the towel-on-sunbed throw at the pool. This we didn't particularly bothered as we prefered to eat at our rental car and drove to the sea. So we have a very nice holiday in a pleasant atmosphere ( apart from the Handtuchwerfern) and would not hesitate to come back in the Amazones Village in Piskopiano spend our holiday. We do NOT recommend this hotel. The risk, right on arriving in a shabby Started as a tripsaver-became a is very high. With us is the more happened couples and throughout our stay had to almost all of the guests in the neighboring building Driades for a minimum of two nights stay. A cheap rooms are without TV, hair dryer, bathroom catastrophic and without the cleanliness left to be desired - not only is not available! High ick factor! On the first day we wanted to leave. Unfortunately manager was completely overwhelmed, instead of great help was offered us the ... option money back. move until 3 days later. The hotel Amazones Village is definitely NOT a 4 star, may be two would we give. It could have been more beautiful if you would sort it out, but feel responsible anyone here. Tired furniture, broken items are not repaired, it's just the principle they have a lot of money for little effort. The location is beautiful, but nothing for everything else that wasn't true. Without a car but unthinkable, everything very far away! The breakfast left a lot to be desired, for example, no pack we also get on the day of departure, from a adopt not to mention. A super nice and child-friendly hotel. Great location, high above the sea, rental car is useful to a nice beach. We are still dream from the breakfast buffet. Staff very nice and helpful, always smiling. After reading some negative opinions I want to read, write, ones when we went. We stayed over Easter 2009 for the season beginning in the Amazones Villages. The package with flight and car is so convenient. Get off at the airport in "his" by car and is less than 30 minutes drive from the hotel. We had a junior suite with balcony with 180° sea view. Great! The "room" which is rather a one bedroom apartment with fully equipped kitchen and quite large. Breakfast is served in the installed or before at the pool. Due to the hillside location can ... be seen from all the tables outside the full panorama with sea view. As the day starts very well. The buffet is varied and Greek features. As others have written, not super-Nobel buffet, but despite that good and delicious. We wanted to go hiking in different parts of Crete. Hersonissos is very cheap. Easy to get to the Lassithi Plateau and thanks to the highway a breeze in Aghios Nikolaos. In about 1 hour journey time is also many Wanderregionen on the south side of the island. This worked great. Small disadvantage: There is no Luchpaket or something like that. So if you don't want to miss out on your breakfast, you could only go quite late way. ( We wanted it more relaxing wishing as wouldn't be that bad. Of course the tours for full-size not so great. ) The staff at the hotel are very friendly and was always kept clean. In terms of food, there is only breakfast, but as described in the adjacent Piskopiano and on the square of old Chersonnissos ( circa 1 km) enough nice tavernas available. The other guests were mostly couples from different countries. All very nice and quiet, didn't have too much interaction. The main village Hersonissos is is the "nightlife district of Crete and really not nice. This is far enough away from ( circa 2 km down the hill). Overall, everything was very nice and very relaxing. Lots of things to do and we had a perfect stay. Just make their own program, but we did hoin, or? I will definitely go back there. To explore the eastern part of Crete, this is a good choice. The hotel is a family run business and the innkeeper, send to former guests can also quite nice even written "ad-e-mails" ( about three per year). It is everything quite personal and very nice.
