Very large and clean (what is more important when it comes to hostels). Mostly young clientele that can get somewhat rowdy after a few drinks down in the hostel bar. read hotel review

I stayed there twice and my impressions are mixed: - First time it was a bunk bed in a dorm with an en-suite bathroom which seemed to be very decent for the money I payed. - Second time I opted for a single room and I must say you can find better value for your money in Dublin: very modest if not ascetic, no TV, no furniture except for bed, no kettle, windows were impossible to open.

Good overall, I had an issue with my reservation and it was sorted out by the receptionist (she needed to do a few phone calls). In the end she even gave me some token coins to spend in the bar as an apology for keeping me waiting.

Good clean hostel, but maybe too big for its boots

I stayed here for a few nights in a 6 bed dorm room with ensuite. Room was clean, each person had their own locker safe under the bunks and each bed has its own light and two power plugs. This is good to have! The hostel is very large - from the number of rooms to the size of the bar/seating/restaurant area downstairs. The problem with this is that I couldn't really work out its target. It seemed there were a range of clientele from older friends through to solo backpackers. The size would make it tricky for a solo ... traveler to meet people - it's too big so people just keep themselves to themselves. The bar/food area is nice, trendy - but for the general traveller, massively overpriced. For example, beer and burger meal for 10 euros sounds ok, but it doesn't include chips. They do have themed nights going on like DJ's and salsa, but on the whole it just felt a bit too forced. And the wifi is free in the downstairs area only and is painfully slow. It's a shame because it could be a fantastic hostel/hotel - bet I left feeling unsure if I had stayed at a party hostel, a hotel or a late night bar. read hotel review

I stayed in a 6er rooms. The seating area is satisfactory. Good, that one under the bed storage space for suitcases etc.. Has. However, you should remember a castle with you, it could directly go up, the temple bar is not far away. Before you can good and gladly a few drinks in the private bar. Modern, cheap and really recommendable. read hotel review

For a hostel a very good special offer! Cheap, well situated, nice, spacious. Diagonally opposite there is a good coffee shop with real irish breakfast around 8 euros,-, the breakfast in the hostel was ok, but i prefer to hearty. read hotel review

The hostel is in a good location, right next to the S-Bahn station. The condition is relatively new and liegevoll furnished. Wlan was at the bar and in the lobby. I also had wi-fi in the room. The average age mixed. I would say of 16-40. and mostly british! read hotel review

We had a double room with own bathroom and toilet! The size of the room and the bathroom were okay. Unfortunately you could the window in the room not open and next to the bed there was no bedside table. Either you had to his clothes on the floor or on the table on the other wall. Unfortunately, there was only 1 light switches and it was next to the door. No bedside lamps! Something i have never seen and i was also very much disturbed. A small tip: take flashlight! Because otherwise the hallway on the toilet in the dark to hindernisslauf are. There was no closet, so you had to 1 week live out of a suitcase!

  • Gastronomy
    3.0

We booked only 1 time in the hostel breakfast and, although with cheese, sausage, jam and fruit is lured, there was no sausage and no cheese. For me a problem, as i no jam like. A kitchen for selbster cook there, but we didn't use it. The bar was very clean and had relatively 'normal' prices, as Ireland house very expensive is.

  • Service

The staff's hospitality at the front desk is still very developable. Check in was very uncomplicated but rather cool. If one questions to Dublin had, you would not know really much and could hardly give any advice. Directly on the 1. day is our shower head broken and, although i the front desk 2 times informed and beside me the caretaker to the room sent, we have the whole week only with the hose shower.

Otherwise came sometime at night a troop british to the next room back then until o'clock in the morning a huge noise did. Was impossible to sleep. However therefor can the hostel itself nothing. read hotel review

A cool hostel for the young and the young remained. The cleanliness in our room was not to 100% given however it was apart from that good. A stop the LUAS tram is in the immediate proximity and thus the hostel is good with the ÖVs reachable. For one night it was great, I would however not a whole week there. read hotel review

Hostel with good breakfast and town center-proximity After a uncomplicated and rapid procedure for the notification of our group we have a spartan but clean room found. The great working shower in the bathroom it must be mentioned, as the glass pane was very clean, that you almost not seen. The quality and quantity of the breakfast buffet was for an hostel of great. Of us has always everyone found something. Worth mentioning is the high price of the Guinness with 4,50 Euro. It costs this in Dublin as good as everywhere 5,00 Euro, but for a hostel ... was quite expensive. As you in about 15 to 20 minutes almost everything, is the location good. This hostel with a clear conscience be recommended. Only the pricing policy a drink should be considered. Tip: a visit to the Guinness Brewery really recommendable. The visit to the right behind the hotel lying Jamesons distillery would also worth a visit. read hotel review

The bus ride from airport the hostel is about 25 minutes. From the bus stop to the building it is around 12 minutes (cross the bridge and then just keep right ). The reception was really welcoming. I had reserved a double room with two single beds, but we got a bunk bed room. Apparently this is a problem in the hostel. Our rooms had no view (but a view of a glass dome) and was therefore very dark. When I complained, we were immediately allocated a different room. The size of the room was ok for 2 people. For ... four people it would be very tight. Well, it is only a hostel. When the price is 20 euros per head per night with breakfast, you can't complain. The room was clean, only the window was a bit dirty. Perhaps this was because of the construction site right next to the hostel (with the window closed there was no construction noise). The bathroom, especially the shower stall, had a mold problem. The mattresses are quite soft. Despite back problems I slept well both nights. I thought the privacy blinds on the bed were good. Below the bed are two containers on wheels for backpacks. The room is always cleaned up. On the ground floor there is a bar with a billiards table and a breakfast room. I paid 4 euros per person for breakfast. Coffee was catastrophic (only water), otherwise there was tea, three juices to choose from (of course syrups as everywhere), one type of cheese (Cheddar), sausage, marmelade, toast and rolls. No brown bread. In the basement there are several computers. Two hours of internet costs 2 euros. In the basement there is also a small kiosk with good espresso coffee, appetizers like the soup of the day, toast and Frankfurters, cold and hot drinks (at a charge of course!). In the house there is also a drinks machine. There are enough nice seats to sit here. Generator hostel has a mixed clientele. Different cultures, from young (circa 11) to old ( approximately 60 years old). In the hostel area ( about 2 minutes away) is located stop the tram (LUAS), three stations away from O'Connell street. It fitted my needs and I would stay there again any time. read hotel review

The public areas (lobby, restaurant) are very well maintained, decorated up to date and decorated. The rooms are comparable to a very simple hostel on the first glance sees everything okay from, but the longer you in the room is, the more you will of small flaws in the true sense of the word 'flooded '. From the broken blinds until the broken shower head is quite much. The staff seems to mainly from quereinsteigern to exist, probably some time still did not know, that in the hotel industry will end up. To mourn was the breakfast buffet and the ... quality of products: rolls, boiled ham and green cheese slices from the packing and jam. More not. I find it difficult this hostel even grades recommendable. A shame. read hotel review

For a city trip for young people, desirability expectations are not so high, it is a ideal accommodation. Newly renovated and therefore very modern in the middle of Dublin. Bus- and tram stop are equal around the corner, exactly like the Saint-Jean Whiskey Destillery. On foot it are about 10 minutes the bar and shopping districts. Rooms were big enough and the beds very comfortable. Also the bathroom served its purpose, and was clean ( towels were provided). There were enough lounges with free computers with access to the internet, Sofas rest or day plan and a bar and pool ... table. Breakfast cost only 2. 50 euro per person was all right, even if to expensive things as sausage or eggs declined to be. The bread cheese, jams, Nutella and honey. There were different sorts of cereals, yoghurt, fruit and coffee, juice and tea. For city breaks very recommendable. Already more the quality a hotels as a hostel had, even if on things as TV etc. In the room of course, if I had to be. I should once again to Dublin come, I would go back to the generator hostel. read hotel review
