The location is good, the hotel itself is a typical business hotel, sober and busy. It is located however directly on the new Hafenboardwalk, the city Halifax has built. And it was beautiful. With the excellent weather, we had, we could for hours walk, coffee, the musicians Listen, it was a small paradise, as quite Halifax it is value, used to be.
Our room was, although a bit dark, reasonable, the bathroom was however very small and partly ( shower, bath tub) in need of renovation. There the room sideways to the delivery entrance was, this would result in, that ... it in the morning but was noisy and we early from the truck -noise woken up.
The staff's hospitality is varying degrees, the staff at reception and the doormen were very friendly and helpful, the employees in the clublounge it was not. Furthermore is the offer the Reichstag at best than average to describe. Also was the small buffet, if it was developed, not well maintained; partly was even the floor dirty. The big plus of Marriott, compared to other large hotels in Halifax is that it is located right at the beginning of the aggravation of the leisure, shopping and restaurant area starts. The room is under the general Marriott standard adequate in size and well appointed. The cleanliness of the room and the bathroom, as well as in the whole hotel was faultless. From the hotel you can dry to quickly walk to about Verbindungsbrücken up to the neighboring casino, or in the Scotia Mall (please here nothing major wait a few medium-cheap shops and a bigger food court). When ... we booked through the internet on specials make sure. We had the weekend for example. Breakfast included, needed no voucher or similar, that was included in top efficience noted. Parking in the garage - between the Marriott and the casino is located (each with direct access) costs 22.50 Can$ per day. read more
