A good hotel in a great location, excellent in the dreamlike landscape because. Good shops on location. Xenia is a fine starting point also on the way to Athosrepublik (only for men). Very good value for money! read more

Great vacation with tiny downsides

The Xenia is a beautiful hotel in absolute great location. We were in the new building and up to a somewhat unsteady washbasin there are from us nothing to fault. The lawns are unfortunately through the hot summer somewhat burned defendendo, but that is not further disturbing. We have booked half board, because the hotel unfortunately not only with breakfast bookable was. The breakfast is very sufficient and delicious. Evenings there are unfortunately hardly any greek cuisine, however rather international cuisine, we are therefore often in the adjoining taverns gone to greek cuisine to enjoy. außerer some German vacations were ... mainly austrians and russians present, but it is really well-mannered russians acts. The typical behavior of russians on vacation here could not be confirmed. read more

    Our room was big, nice, clean and with a direct view of the sea. Mentioned above the wobbling washbasin, but thus one can arrange oneself. The only negative thing is the rooms very noisy are.

    The breakfast was sufficient and delicious. The dinner as mentioned for us not greek enough. Because of course in the taverns. The kritikos and the small tavern turn left in front of the mainly harbor promenade are very recommendable. The dinner on the terrace is regarding the atmosphere forth unbeatable if the sun in the sea sink looks. Everything on which we have respected was clean and hygienic. As in all southern countries, could have been better in Greece wild dogs and cats through the area. Partly the dogs also in the hotel and try for the food with a treuherzigen view something from. Whoever fusses about it is general in the south wrong!

    To us was the staff always friendly and attentive. Other guests complained, however can we not be confirmed. In the hotel all spoke employees next to greek also English. German not represented. Since we didn't complaints and had no additional benefits from us taken into account were, we can not comment.

    The pool is small but nice. But who needs already a pool if the sea directly on the doorstep stands. Chairs were always abundant. The chairs at the beach included sun screen cost 5 Euro on the day. In the hotel no animation and that is also well like that!

    A distance to the beach does not exist, the hotel by the beach is. Also stands the hotel right on the edge of the city and is located therefore in great location! From the airport one must however a transfer two hours to. As the countryside really worth seeing is, is the however not a problem dar. In the town can different excursions be booked and also a hike the border the mönchsrepublik is really advisable.

The hotel consists of 3 main buildings with rooms and several in the garden distributed bungalows, as well as 3 bungalow buildings directly at the beach. In a main building is on the ground floor the spa building. The complex seemed very well kept. The rooms are cleaned daily, the towels on request changed daily. We stayed with the cleanliness on the complex and in the room very satisfied. The information of the hotel in the room was however rather a large brochure (also for the other hotels of the owner) and offered little information. There was for example no ... information, what spa services there is and what these services would cost. It was not mentioned, how and where the laundry to the laundry service-laundry bags were not from. The folder mentioned pool bar does not exist. In our opinion in the management of the hotel some weaknesses! Things, after which are not expressly asked, told no. At the front desk there was no information or similar, where for example a bus timetable, information about island tours or athos tours, markets and so on made public. You had to everything individually to inquire and also organize itself. At the beach should the chairs and sunscreens cost. In the first week we never saw someone, the member or monitor. In the second week twice until half of the beach is controlled, the rest not. The people, the outward at the beach came or evenly later, did not pay. The managerin herself was very distant, not to say rude-if that you saw and did not greet us. Also scolded you staff in attendance of the guests together, which nothing special good style. read more

    We inhabited a so-called beachfront -bungalow directly at the beach. The room was big enough and functional. One only sleeps inside! The bathroom was approximately 4 meters² large with a bath. It was everything not new anymore, but very well maintained and beautifully gefliest. The room was visibly newly painted. The balcony was large and had a lounge chair, two chairs and a small table, as well as a rack to hang the bathing things. The room was every day clean cleaned.

    The food in the restaurant was very good! The breakfast buffet was varied and diverse, the dinner buffet also. The dinner was very greek, much different gemüsespeisen, several sorts of meat, from time to time also fish dishes and as concession especially however for children noodles always with changing sauces (2). The dessert consisted of different fruits and usually two desserts. ( according to our information the cook was beginning September changed, therefore so the earlier bad reviews over the food not more seriously!)

    The staff's hospitality was very different. The girls from the service in the restaurant were very friendly and extremely tried hard, failed however partly to the organization. For example we had to glasses during dinner or mugs for breakfast longer wait, because it too few glasses or mugs was! They all spoke English quite well and chatted very nice and pleasant with the guests. In contrast to this the male serving staff. Hardly brought a smile ftate. Also they were not so 'fit' as the girls and languages also not so good English. Knowledge of German - like in the hotel description advertised-no one had. The bothered us however not. One cannot expect, that everywhere on the world they speak German! Weaknesses there was at the front desk. A fax of our tour operator about our time of departure is gone and not resurfaced. Thank god he had us additionally called. For a visit in the indoor pool and the hamam we should pay, although it is at the price for the journey is included. A (small) complaint was despite two-time demand not cared for (we then gave up). Because we however mainly with the girls of the service personnel had to do, is our impression altogether positive.

    Leisure offers of the hotel there was no (we did not need also). The brochure advertised and announced barbecue evenings, cooking classes and greek evenings there was not. The children's playground consists of a seesaw and a swing at the beach. ( was for not important to us). The pool next to the restaurant seemed very well-kept. Use we didn't. Spa -complex we have in case of bad weather once the indoor pool and the hammam -sauna use them. The complex is obviously new and very well maintained. However we missed changing rooms and kleiderablagemöglichkeiten. A brochure mentioned internet cafe we didn't find. Entertainment and there are shops in the city. At the back end of the beach there was a small beach bar with drinks and small snacks. What we missed, were in this area the toilets and possibly a shower at the beach. For the toilet you had to to the restaurant, the shower is at the pool. Both about 200 meters away!

    The location of the hotel with a direct access to the beach, views of islands and sea is dreamlike. Behind the hotel the landscape is hilly and forested. The complex and spacious garden are very well maintained. The sea water is crystal clear! The place is almost at the hotel, but no problem. The place is very nice and well-kept, with lots of small restaurants at the sea along ( pedestrian precinct) and shops and souvenir stores the main street. The shuttle from the airport thessaloniki took us a half hour

    The state of the room is only superficially okay. Barefoot you should not go. The bathroom had already seen better days for example shower rod broken, shower curtain stained. Towels grey and partly broken.

    The breakfast is ok. Daily egg dishes, sausage, cheese, fruit and so on The dinner is unfortunately, as in the other years, very carelessly displayed. In comparison to the previous years the food was some evenings better than expected. The bottle beer for 4,50 Euro is clearly too expensive. The wine prices are ok, for example bottle of wine 7 €.

    The staff's hospitality is bad. Service seems to be a foreign word. At mealtimes tried the praktikantinnten /trainees hardly anyone. Professionals seems not available to be. Waiting times for example on the morning of 15 minutes are normal. Complaints for knowledge, but not fixed.

    The pool was not well maintained, the leiterstufen were broken and a shower by the pool there was not more. The loungers and sun screens had of the hotel guests at the beach be paid. We as hotel guests got a pass on the payment. The beach was however daily from other guests from the town or other hotels shares. They have of course the loungers and umbrella used and paid nothing, not control. We felt quite taken advantage of. Complaints helped also not here.

The hotel offers bungalows or in the large building rooms. At night it was very badly soundproofed through the tiled stairs and hallways. The rooms were very spacious, but one could not barefoot run. The hand towels were all gray, the bed linen was not know. Unfortunately half board, only breakfast would be enough. The dinner was also not always recommendable. The building is well placed so that even if many people is present no confusion and is possible in every hours to find a confortable umbrella on the beach. The bungalows are nice constructed and are very confortable as well the rooms that are all sea front. The cleanliness is right and the staff always ready to satisy any need. The breakfast is good with a variety of food from tyical greek to english features and placed near the beach with a very nice view. The guests we found were from various country, in major part families with children of ... various age but very cleaver and any disturb from chlidren.     The hotel is practically on the beach so no roads to cross, and the sea is no more than 30 meters far from the hotel. The airport of Thessaloniki is easy because the staff may arrange the trip, one hour and half no more and it is nice the landscape. The shopping is very easy because the hotel it is close to the town and no cars or others are neeeded, just 2-3 minutes walking. The excursions in historical sites are possible and easy to plane for thr aasistance of the staff. One may stay on the beach but also may go around and visit the various nice villages of the gulf. Obviously the mount Athos is very actractive and is possible to visit, the staff is able to suggest the way.

We were very satisfied. Room clean and beautiful. The furnishing good and functional. Food was to our taste, because we love the Greek cuisine. For the waiters were difficulties at the start, but after two days fixed were. Wether to the beach, or to the village-there were short distances. What we missed, were insider tips at the front desk for some excursions. There you had to just otherwise The Info procure. We would spend our vacations there anytime again. read more

In short:   A 4 star hotel, which was not and after swiss, or german standard at best a 2a three stars hotel represents. Bad food, very untidy park, reorganization-needy sewer, far from enough parking spaces. read more

It was a good staying, fantastic sea view and close to the beach! Swimming pool was also very nice. Food great! People at the reception and staff we gentle and careful. I would return to this hotel! read more

The staff was very friendly. The dishes from the material was very good, the preparation unfortunately pretty bad. Zimmerausstatund ( tv, fridge) dated. Fittings in the bathroom bad. Location of the hotel very nice, however the beach should larger rocks removed, more easily to get into the water. read more

We already were to the third time in the hotel Xenia, the hotel is in a perfect location. Otherwise there are beautiful hiking trails and you can boats to the chrissi Islands for rent. ( definitely recommendable) The small fishing village is originally and the natives are very friendly. We will definitely in a couple of years there again spend our holiday! read more

Hotel has clearly too many stars - especially what the diversity, Presentation and quality of the dishes in the evening subject. It is best, a boat (motorboat around 20 to 30 PS -40.50 Euro per day exclusive Gasoline) and the nearby, beautiful Booked and taverns to visit. read more

Pleasant hotel on a wonderful location. Where you can directly from the room in the clean sea! The new builds are in good condition, the old hotel would a renovation stand. You should Greek cuisine like... It is very cooked Greek-was not a problem for us was. read more

We had an efficient business meeting in Xenia hotel thanks to the good facilities that the hotel offers (business room with internet connection, projector, etc.). I spent three days at the Xenia Hotel on a project visit with partners from France, Hungary and Austria. We were warmly welcomed by all the staff of the hotel who supported our needs throughout the visit. The meeting room was very well serviced (the coffee machine was fabulous) and we were able to focus on our Agenda without having to worry about the operational elements of the visit. The technology provided worked fine (skype) for our needs. The food was well presented and interesting - Greek dishes with a general European twist. A beautiful setting by the sea - ... Ijust wish Ihad had time to make more of the very good facilities on offer. read more

The hotel Xenia offers everything, which one for a successful relaxing holiday could wish for. We had a bungalow with a balcony with sea view. The bungalow was very spacious, the cleanliness was always immaculate. Overall we the hotel as very quiet felt, with numerous trip possibilities for hiking and around country and people to meet. The staff at the hotel was friendly. After some time have the dishes for dinner repeated, the quality was continuously good. read more

The hotel was generally in a good condition. Our room was large and clean. The staff was not always friendly and seemed often overtaxed. No one spoke German, although many German guests were there. The breakfast buffet was very good. The evening buffet was for our taste too bad, that my husband and I we hardly ate. From the little tasty things prepared a lot and you had no chance to get a second sometimes it. The beach was beautiful and the water was fantastic. We will definately return vacation in Greece, but not to this hotel. read more

poor service: complaints of the room cannot edit insufficient. Food: Oh yes-the place makes it more fun, people much more friendly and not expensive. Drinks very expensive in the hotel staff was very non-committal, hardly any of the time smiled, as has also been geared to the guests. The einigst really nice thing is the beach and view of the sea, where there was always something to watch. Further development of the port was during our stay luckily not operated. read more
