This lovely hotel is in the process of being renovated as some of the rooms are a bit 'tired'. Having said that, the location couldn't be bettered. On its own island in 32 acres of gardens full of birds, fruit trees and flowers.
Despite its size, the Pyramisa has a cosy atmosphere, mostly due to the magnificent staff lead by the wonderful General Manager, Mr Mohammed Fekri.
Given the choice of staying at the renowned Old Cataract Hotel or the Pyramisa, the Pyramisa would win hands down every time! read more

This hotel is ideally placed in the middle of the Nile, on an island. A free boat
transfers you in 10 minutes to the center of Aswan! With 2 swimming pools and a beautifull garden where you can quietly walk and admire the Nile, the city of Aswan, the birds, etc..
Guests are very quiet and very polite...and there are many people who come there for one month (or even more), just to take advantage of the hotel and the sun during the winter! read more

All in all, an excellent stay... we just wish we could have stayed longer.
Breakfast was huge range of various dishes, plus assorted salads, pastries etc.
In fact, the quality of the breakfast convinced us to use the restaurant for dinner, which again was superb.
Definitely returning for another stay! read more

Nice hotel in a magnificent location on a Nile-island near asswan. The large park is wonderfully arranged and top maintained. Everywhere there are romantic places, the to stay a while inviting. A real small paradise with a great service of the staff. I had the all-round carefree package in other words
Booked all inclusive. Good choice at the breakfast the on request outside was served. Lunch i could
When the italians with a great terrace and Nile-view food or the buffet in the main restaurant use. The afternoon sunset there was coffee, tea and pastries on the sunset terrace. The ...
Dinner also has in the 4. week tasty. Small extra wishes were fulfilled at any time (for example, fresh fruits for breakfast). I had a chalet. Unfortunately this area is even this year because of the small guests closed. By briefly zeiturlauber was the change very high and level. On the 2. floor were the rooms very worn. A bit better the rooms in the lying floors. A room change was possible without a problem. I was in the period the christmas/new year's eve in the hotel. The christmas party with delicious dinner needs a bit of getting used to and ended with a nubian show. We must not go through.
New year's eve was great decorated with delicious dinner and new year's eve party. There is many older regular guests from Germany, England, Belgium, but also groups Japan, China, Australia and the USA, on the abu simbel tour here 2 nights we were there. The holidays were also some children there, in the ice-cold pools freshen up.
Thanks to the staff as Osman for breakfast, Mohammed the thin always in a rush and kalid
The lovely scatterbrain with the italians. Thanks to the staff in the lobby bar and all the in the restaurant with the
Dinner. Special greetings to roses -Ali. Last big praise at Mohammad f. the hotel manager, all threads almost around the clock both with guests, as well as with the staff together. His statement: trust is good, control is better.-)

This hotel was designed to be a very special resort on the Nile. Due to difficult time Egypt is experiencing tourism is very slow. Obviously the hotel is now understaffed which affects the quality of services. Nevertheless, the location and landscape are superb and make up for any service defficiency. Only the main building is operating which has the best view anyway. Its west wing should, however, be avoided as it overlooks a dried out branch of the Nile that produces a bad smell.
All considered, our stay was pleasant and relaxing. read more

The location on a green island in the Nile makes your stay at this hotel very relaxing. All staff of the hotel, from the roomservice and poolservice to the general manager, is extremely friendly and helpfull. There's a beatiful restaurant with a good staff and an excellent chef-cook who can make every meal a feast. Last but not least: the town of Aswan is at 10 min by boat shuttle, and gives you lots of possibilities for shopping, restaurants and excursions.

We were this year the 6. time in this hotel. The says it all of which the satisfaction subject. We were from the entire staff totally friendly and warmly welcomed and felt like at home. As regular guests we got a very spacious room, flowers, pastry and fruit than attention of the hotel ready.
During our time the Bananapool renovated and we were kindly on Palmpool served. As always this summer were only very few guests in the hotel. Therefore was also the restaurant closed and within the lobby bar range became was the food restaurant. A good solution. We ... ate on the menu, including special wishes always taken into account and have been fulfilled. Only the breakfast I found a 5 *-standard not appropriate. On the final day we had a night in sister hotel ISIS in Luxor and the breakfast was -in just a few guests- much rich, especially what bread and coating regards.
In the hotel lives for years a older couple from Germany. Luckily they took their lunch and dinner this year on your room a. However for breakfast you met inevitably Co and it was intolerable and having to consult, in which sound with the extremely polite and helpful staff asking. Not only we (you talk yes with other vacations.) found the tone, especially mr gegenüberr the hotel staff, be discriminatory, unreasonable and insensitive. Since the courtesy and mentality of the staff no contradiction permit, it is I (and also other guests) incomprehensibly, the hotel management this manner of dealing with its staff permits.
However apart from that, the hotel is and its wonderful complex furthermore, in particular for the peace searching, a pleasant address. For long term and 'over winter' be special offers provided. read more

The staff is really kind and well prepared,a very rare thing in Egypt.

We spent almost 1 week in this hotel in April 2012. We were surprised by the warm wellcome at the reception desk. Every member of the staff, from general manager to gardeners are eager to help you, and want to make a tremendous succes of your holiday. The boattrip from the center of Aswan to this island-hotel lasts about 10 minutes in which you see 6000 years of history (Elephantine, The Old Cataract, the tomb of the Aga Khan) and brings you to this quiet and peacefull resort. The boats are an advantage (keeps the busy city center noises away) ... and bring you day and night in 10 minutes to the center. You feel like a guest in one of the stories of "thousand and one nights". The restaurant is very good. Rooms are clean and have a beautifull view (we had view on Aswan, Elephantine and Kitchener's Island). A lot of guests stay only a short period in this hotel, to go on a river cruise. From this place, you can visit a lot of monuments. Kalabsha temple in lake Nasser is a hidden jewel, almost no visitors but very nice to see. The Nubian museum is only a walk of 15 minutes. Must-see Aboe Simbel (a once-in-a-lifetime experience). Ask the management and staff to book a local taxi and guide, they can give some very fine advise. My son, a 12year old youngster, Flemish-speaking, had each day his friends he met at the pool. We hope to return soon to this fantastic place, much better than Luxor. read more

The hotel is already a bit outdated, but the location on the Nile-island unbelievably beautiful. With the more exact Hinsehenstellt you feast, that Egyptian 5 stars evenly no European 5 stars are. It would have to be reconditioned times. But since hardly visitors there are, the take. The breakfast was very good and diverse. You could the island from great excursions in the area of Aswan undertake. The hotel was only very few visited, therefore were the pools also with enough sun loungers and protection from the sun equipped. Therefore the hotel was also very quiet - except for the ... Arab weddings at the weekend, the only at 23:30 and whole night take.
Altogether it was a great week. In case we once again after Assun go, we will come back to this hotel. read more

On a Nile-island (reachable with the hotel's own and free ship -shuttle bus-service from the mainland, takes about 10 minutes ), offers this extensive hotel many facilities, crowned by the extremely warm and personal behavior the hotel employees.
Although it definitely not a typical children/jugendhotel is (in february no animation, no disco) we have both of our boys, 10 and 12 years, very felt comfortable there. The hotel offers: two pools, football field (!), tennis court, tennis, spa with massages and sandbädern, rich and good food in buffet form, a massive garden around, in the everywhere greens and blossomed.
The ... hotel has with the aftermath of the egyptian revolution to fight (as general), there a lot of senior citizens as long term tourists, however were some families with children there during our stay (however french-speaking).
The rooms are spacious, in terms of the facilities not super-perfect (whereby i as far as traveled not the german standard application in countries of the mediterranean or in Afrika) but it has probably 2005/2006 a larger renovation took place. Even if it is a 'giant hotel' acts, we found nevertheless, that the building ensemble quite well in the countryside has entered, compensated by the many greenery of the large garden around. read more
