I was with the hotel totally satisfied. But was the value for money not alright. Sydney is a very expensive city, but for the money you could expect more.
The hotel itself is but very clean and the staff very helpful.
From the hotel opera's one around 40 to 50 minutes. But you will find very lots of interesting things the way very amusing make.
Would, if the price would be better, come back to this hotel. read more

Very good location with the bus and train directly in front of the hotel. Rooms are nice and comfortable with enough space. Very comfortable bed and you can hear no neighbor noise or noise from the outside. Pool, sauna, fitness center are on the top floor and from the pool are on Sydney views, nice view! Everything was clean and the staff was always very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended! read more

We had booked a smoking room with two beds, when we got there everything was occupied, and we were given a smoking room not.
They promised us to change the room the next day, simply only the bags and leave again on the room.
The next evening when we returned to the hotel again, the lady at the reception only then started to look at, if our room is a free choice, of course, was not. then Ross turned on, the boss of the reception and suggested an extra bed in a smoking room with a bed to posts: great ... idea said and done: in the room we arrived it turned out the firm bed with a steel folding was creaking Springs, the was not! Hardly sleep found! The next day we have complained then us very clearly and got us back then it three nights our room to be the last. The room was really good, large, two large beds!
The location of the hotel is class, centrally located and only ten minutes to walk to darling Harbor!
Excellent and therefore to mention is the work of the concierge! read more

We were as a part of a round trip 2 nights in this hotel. We had the impression, that too many groups there again, thus always 'Crush'. The location is very central, a bit loud, but in the rooms usually not to be heard. We enjoyed the fitness center on the top floor condition-work-out with a fantastic view over the town-the! read more

The hotel is located in the immediate vicinity of the train station in Sydney. From there you can easily all Sydney attractions, and also outside, such as the blue mountains, reach. Also to foot the city is easy to explore. The Sydney Opera house, you need to walk about 45 minute. For grocery shopping, one should avoid on larger supermarkets (such as Woolworths on George street), because the small shops in the immediate vicinity are something overpriced. read more

As said: very recommendable hotel, something expensive, what but apparently normal is for Sydney. The pool is not so great, room a bit small, but compared to other hotels in Sydney is probably OK (for the class of the hotel). Schinbar only one type of room, my girlfriend was the bed for me with something smaller than expected. read more

The hotel is located next to the main railway station of Sydney. Within a hour to walk to all major sights and worth it also to foot by Sydney to stroll. The staff at the reception was very nice and helpful. The breakfast in the hotel was very good with a wide selection, but has something few tables to the peak times, so that one had to wait. The dinner was excellent. The room was very beautiful decorated, had two large beds and was otherwise also the size was pleasant. The pool and the fitness room under the roof are ... on the small side and something of a short flight of stairs to reach something of an inconvenience. Conclusion: a hotel to visit Sydney read more

The hotel is located about 1 kilometer from the centre of Sydney and is the usual 'Mercure' quality. Everything is very clean and newly furnished; exception was the bathroom there, that of the tiles and fixtures but seems a bit older. The beds are very good; bedarfsweise You can also order special pillows. The breakfast buffet is extensive and offers a good price/performance ratio in contrast to have breakfast, which is in nearby cafes Alternatively you can take advantage of. The selection of dishes in the restaurant for dinner, however, is rather modest; however, the quality and the taste very ... good. Friendliness and service in the house capitalized everywhere. Handling of complaints is not a problem; I had such as in the first day insisted on a new room. The service was above average. Both buses, and trains in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. The central station is only five minutes walk away. Nevertheless, one couldn't hear the train noise or the like. General is, of course, the window rather thin and street noise can-depending on the floor into our room. In the vicinity little shops, and only a few entertainment possibilities. The nice area located on the darlin harbor is in about 20 minutes on foot. Internet access is available at an additional cost in the rooms, however, I was alarmed by the availability and speed negatively. No comparison to the internetverfügbarkeit in European hotels (don't know, if that was the hotel or to Australia is). Pool and gym are available, although both extremely small size. The only drawback was, that you failed to deliver, to the balcony from spiders in my room and spider webs. As it in Australia only so from poison spiders abound, I had a very booking into and always kept the balcony. However, only 13 rooms in the hotel we have a balcony. The windows in the other rooms are not öffenbar, which based on a good working a/c but also not necessary. Overall the hotel is highly recommended.
Tip: adequate budget plan. I found Sydney extremely expensive. read more

The hotel is big with about 500 rooms in a tower. Everything neat and clean, but average decorated. The guests were mixed, lots of tourists and business people. Some Airlines are here regular. In the lobby a weree lighted wall, which has a bar tucked away behind. In the evenings after 10:00 PM you can be at this hotel with the key card enter; the front desk is but always occupied. Overall 6 elevators, short wait time. Large underground garage. read more

The room was booked without catering, but had breakfast at "full service" '(buffet)2 times. I personally loved it to me a nice table was offered, toward the window. The buffet itself, were warm foods (sausage, fried rice, scrambled eggs, beans, etc. ) and cold (jam, honey, peanut butter, fruit, cereal, yogurt). There was bread, rolls, the not sticky, croissant, toast. A coffee fully automatic Slicer was available, had diverse possibilities to select a coffee. Only the price didn't bother me, otherwise I would have made the would want, tip, just in a nice cafe, and breakfast, whether Darling Harbor, ect. ... You can have breakfast for 6-10 a$. great value for money would be dinner in the so-called "foodstores" which was delicious and rich, prices from 5 A$11A up to a maximum of $. To the room to check-in. I arrived about at 10am and asked if I want to in the 14 floor and where else, smoking or non-smoking. I took advantage of the in the 14 floor, just super view. Room itself was beautifully furnished I personally liked it. The bed was very nice, thick mattresses and with 2 sheets and pillows (7 and at the end of the bed a runner as decoration purpose. LCD TV was available and there's also a alarm clock on the bedside table, large wardrobe. Mini-bar refrigerator use me I but not really it was too expensive, had me worried Woolworth drinks. You get 2 tickets upon check-in, one for the room and other for the vending machine. There are 1 pool, they had to have been a bit warmer, but nice view evening over the Stadt,1 sauna, gym, with a nice view of the city. To the guest structure would say, international with Australians, some airlines stay at this hotel, get a "welcome drink" which needs to other guests unfortunately I complain about. From the ages, everything was there, maybe lazy so families with children, traveling alone between 18-60 years. There is some type pinboard, where various excursion possibilities are offered, and extra a "desk which 2 staff a advice. In general the room was very clean and the whole hotel. things to do I was taken to Sydney pass worried because you can every place bus, ferries, the sightseeing bus and train including "Airport-link. come on I theme to the airport either as described with the Sydney pass the airport link use the angetestet time, if it works, but worked super was there in about 15 mins max. otherwise a "airport shuttle " offer in the costs about $13 A, or by taxi about A$25, you can without problems with the "tour desk "book. As in other reviews, china town on foot or Darling Harbor can be accessed on foot, otherwise the local bus to Cirkluar Quay where there to everywhere. The bus platform cross the road toward Chinatown there are bus stops and the buses were every 2 minutes. Apart from this, a very nice city, if you wanted or wants to know what the people to speak with you, no problem at all, each helped. Found this very pleasant read more

The hotel is right beside the main railway station of Sydney, at the beginning of the large George Street. This leads to the Circular Quay, well worth a walk. Chinatown is right around the corner. We booked through a special on the Accor website a superior room with breakfast - against payment in advance. The 1985 . Continually updated is mixed, some Asian Airlines have their crew. read more

We stayed for four nights at the Mercure and had a great time. The hotel is in a great starting point to the train station, thus leading to all public transport, what the discover Sydney much easier.
All tourist buses and the free 555 also stop at the train station.
The front desk can help with planning and was generally always very helpful. For excursions booked through the hotel you will also picked up directly in the lobby!
The room was large, clean, modern and you could make tea and coffee cook for yourself. A vending machine with cold drinks ... were available on each floor.
The few euros extra for the room with city view was definitely worth it! It has a great view of the George and Pitt street.
Great Hotel-would definitely recommend! read more
