For the omni shoreham -hotel i because of my membership of gha and because of the reasonable price decided. My decision turned out to be very good. A lady from the front desk took care of it personally to my well-being as you think status looked and they had a massive joy, a european gha-member of the omni shoreham to see.
As gha-black-level member i received a free upgrade to a full suite. Ever booked hotel guest (i was alone, but for two booked) i received in the morning two drinks to the room delivered. Water and a welcome gift ..., as well as two willkommenscocktails were in check in to the room delivered.
The room convinced not only through its size, but also by the comfort of the bed. I have excellent slept well.
The metro-station a few meters from the hotel away. To the zoo are about ten minutes on foot, entry is free of charge. Unfortunately i could the pool didn't use, because it was my stay renovated. read more

The hotel is very good for a city trip, if everything is up and running. For us that was not the case. It was not only once the room not made and we had to durchwühlten sheets sleep, but it is also a charger 'disappeared'. The staff has not much trouble, that this return, but only standard Entschuldigungsfloskeln use. The check out was also very impersonal, although time enough for a nicer Behandung would have been. The hotel we have as a city hotel at the end our USA-vacation during our stay in Washington elective. It is a very good however big hotel, but the high quality the Omni -hotels is.
Hotel lies directly at a subway station ( about 10 minutes to the national mall) and a station the city buses of Washington. The national zoo ( definitely recommendable) is about minutes walking distance).
Pool is very good and is located in a garden, so you not at all notice, that one directly at a street lives.
Room was for 4 people big enough, the ... bathroom unfortunately somewhat small.
Small downside is, that the hotel during our stay was fully booked and it was a bit hectic and loud season, but because of he size of the hotel was this impairment in limits.
Guest parking unfortunately very expensive, especially as you the car in Washington does not need.
Internet was free (if a Member of the Omni-bonus -program), but unfortunately in the room very weak connection. It has just in the lobby worked well. read more

Great hotel, attractive environment, peaceful location in green surroundings, short times with public transport in the city center, metro stop only 5 minutes away, but: costs for valet parking very high (39 American Dollar per day), also more expensive than some. In the midst of very green city Omni Shoreham is located with its about 830 rooms and splendid lobby. A very strong 30 he Charme runs the lobby. The staff are very attentive and friendly. The check-in/out went very smooth. The rooms are huge, with two king size beds, flat screen tv, nice balcony (we had a great view of the Washington Monument) and a changing room. Also here you can feel the old Charme of the hotel (despite over 800 rooms it is very comfortable). The only complaint I have is the bathroom, a little small and the shower ... can be a challenge, but if you get the hang, it was very pleased. All in all a great hotel, I would visit again at any time the. The price. Ps it is worthwhile: wireless Internet is available in the lobby for free, the room against a fee PPS: about two minutes away from the hotel you will find the metro stop-woodland park/zoo, a transported by DC. You the Smar trip card for the metro. You pay money at the machines and can drive from station to station and just leave the card on the sensor. Lovely, simple! read more

The excellent metro connections and some good restaurants, restaurants, shops nearby the hotel to a good exit point, in order to explore Washington. Front desk was always very helpful, during the billing for Wi-Fi but be careful! Bathrooms very small and somewhat outdated. But spacious rooms. read more

The hotel is very clean and is highly recommended. A super nice lobby is there and this is rather suspect, that the hotel is very much value on tradition. Celebrities stayed here as The Beatles and Julia Roberts and a set of paintings, tell them. The rooms are large and very well maintained. The bathroom was quite large and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The pool is large and well maintained. Towel service is in the gym. This is very modern with new equipment. There is plenty of parking (for a fee) in front of the hotel. ... The nearest metro station is about a three minute walk away. The breakfast in the hotel is very good, but also accordingly expensive ($22 per person). But there was also the possibility about three minutes away from the hotel to have breakfast. WiFi is free, if a member logs in the hotel. With the Metro in about 15 minutes you are in the city center. Day passes were worth it. read more

The Omni Shoreham is a wonderful, at rock creek park located hotel. Our room and bathroom were very clean and spacious. The staff were always friendly and helpful. In the hotel we didn't have the feeling, that you are in a large city, it is a very quiet location. If we go to Washington, then there will definitely be back again to the hotel! read more

From the outside it looked more like a large 'block' from, not very inviting. When one came purely, we had the feeling not ago belong, everything somehow extremely expensive and exclusive and noble. The only clientele which here rumtrieb this impression diminished: many teenagers with fast food bags...
Both fit so not at all together.
The four star hotel has 836 rooms, is a non-smoking hotel and had also Wi-Fi at. From the window we have a large pool saw, but really interested in us. read more

Unfortunately we were only for a weekend. The hotel is fantastic. The location with a great view, at 200 metres metro connection. It is close to several restaurants. The breakfast in the hotel has us very well fallen. The park gives it a heated swimming pool, the use we but not have. The room was very large and the beds are super, have a good night's sleep. If we go back to Washington, we will choose the hotel again read more

The outside of the hotel is not attractive, but that changed as soon as you step inside. It exudes luxury! In the past 30 's built for the last few years, is updated. The nights we had booked from Germany, because that was the last days of our trip and the booking from home is much cheaper. The hotel has a valet-parking. This is with $28 / 24 hours. Will be charged. As there are no parking in the area, we have used it. There are some who complain about the high price, but I think you these costs for ... a city break just have to calculate. Anyway you have no other choice. read more

The hotel is huge, similar to a palace and quite old. and the Beatles already room Marylin Monrö stepped out of the place. The majority of the guests were business conferences, and there were held in the hotel. We only had the room, and it was absolutely luxurious, with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. read more

As far as a great hotel for leisure as well. Great traffic and Restaurantanbindung. However, you should there saving a car parking: $28.00 per night is charged to your credit card. It has been rip off!!! It can be parked in the street overnight but is really not easy as a few free parking spots available up fast, and the car the next morning until 8:00 must be away ... read more

The hotel is very large and the outside at first glance not very appealing to look at. But as soon as you walk into the lobby, it looks quite different! You feel like you're in a luxury hotel and it is very high class. Although the hotel is so old, it is well maintained and was a couple of years ago and renovated for a lot of money! read more

Wow! A great place to stay. Well maintained, with an impressive lobby and beautiful rooms. The hotel is very large but well arranged. A small negative criticism is the slightly overpriced breakfast ($22 ). Fortunately though you do need to buy this breakfast not who goes into town is a very good coffee shop and those who want to take time not as well as at the hotel in a small Starbuckscafe breakfast. The rooms are very large and perfectly comfortable. We had a room that unfortunately looking out on the road, so we were every morning and/ or police ... sirens woken up by street noise. Especially to note, a newspaper delivered each day ( free USA Today) outside the front door. The beds are very luxurious and the history of this hotel was ideal. A getting around the city is easy with the metro line only about a 5 minute walk and right into the city. The staff was very friendly and always helpful. read more
