Hotel Montecarlo^{(3 stars)}

Our room was ample for our needs with Telephone, TV, safe, minibar and a small balcony with bathroom and shower

The food in the hotel is excellent. There is all the flair of Italian gastronomy with a choice of fish or meat and plenty of it, you will never go hungry here. There is a bottle of house wine included with the evening meal.

The staff are very friendly and multi lingual. The staff all seem to enjoy their jobs which speaks volumes for the way the business is run. This is our second visit to this hotel over a period of 3 years and the same staff are working there. The rooms are clean and the cleaning staff helpfull and friendly.

The hotel specialises in cycling holidays there were many groups of cyclist staying there during our stay. The pool is convenient for a stretch in the water and the beach is only 100m from the hotel. We also participated in a wine tasting at an organic vinyard in the local wine region. There is a reception area with bar, and widescreen TV and a terrace overlooking the pool.

This was our second trip to this hotel having been suitably impressed on our first visit for a cycling holiday 2 years ago. The staff are multi lingual and very attentive. We were on a cycling holiday and there are cycle storage and workshop facilities in the cellar. We stayed full board which included breakfast, bikers lunch on our return from our bike rides and a 3 course evening meal. There were also packed lunches to take on our cycle excursions.

This is a paradise for cyclists and non active people alike. We would cycle up in the hills and vinyards of the Emilia Romagne towards San Marino or along the panoramic coastal routes every day returning for a relax by the pool or on the beach in the afternoon. The beach is 100m from the hotel. There are boat excursions to Venice and coach trips to Florence available. The area has many medieval castles and palaces. Ther are several shops in the town along a semi pedestrianised road.
