The Monte mar is 10 minutes from Lagos center, you can take a lovely the street along down to run! Very nice aussiecht from the hotel, palm trees everywhere! The room was quite simple, but it was quite cold, because the climate warm up could. The room was so rather cool, the staff has not really can help, even change! In my opinion was the air conditioning for the summer meant to cool, but the warm not really, the staff meant however already! The breakfast was quite simple, but for the price really okay! read more

Because the hotel unfortunately directly at a main street is, through a small capacity is crossed (turn in every direction possible ), the rooms are the to the street are located, not to everyone's taste (volume). The best cracker at this idyllic location is however the breakfast room (in a basement, behind a protection against fire-door (as in a OP hall sitting with much artificial lighting and furnishing as in the 70. The hotel lies a little outside the city center', it is however within a few minutes to all major points. Ought to you, that the area a bit hilly, in other words, that some hills, until you the hotel has achieved. The hotel itself was located on a busy road, nearby a roundabout. At night it does rather quiet with the traffic, in the morning one has however partly with louder noises of the trash collection, as well as waiting buses to do, the times motors let it run. Only really disturbing were however the air-conditioning devices the neighboring room ..., the, if you at night or in the early morning hours ran, large noise to have, since the motors to the small balconies are. The hotel itself consists of 4 floors, with altogether about 60 rooms. read more

    The rooms are acceptable by the size. In the bathroom there was a bath tub included possibility to shower, a large mirror with light lighting and other sanitary installations. Of of the airconditioning I have just been spoken. Equipped the rooms are each with a wardrobe, two bedside tables, a small modestly equipped and two single beds, the double beds next to each other can be made. On the balcony are each two chairs, as well as a small table. A tv is also with lots of international programs available. ( German however only ARD)

    The breakfast buffet is a bit of getting used to, offers in general however everything, that you need. There was a juice machine, a coffee machine with different selectable types of coffee, rolls, bread, partially locals breads, cheese, sausage, jams, yogurts and kellogg's in different ways. Really big, the dining room unfortunately not, so you rarely a table for itself alone has. Cleared the used things from the serving staff immediately, so the dining room is always a clean cleaned impression made.

For a three-star hotel in the south we were very impressed. The condition and the size of the rooms were completely sufficient. Furthermore was every day the room cleaned and you got new clean towels. Also the size of the hotel it made rather comfortable. read more

    Only times to the hotel: we ate there only for breakfast. There was rolls, bread, sausage, cheese, jams, cereal, juice and mild. Thus completely enough for a breakfast. Dinner was in a nearby restaurant with a limited menu. The food was really delicious with really fat portions. Now Lagos: there are numerous bars and restaurants. It is no bar noticed, the dirty or rancid worked. The best bar in Lagos was' aficionato '. The cocktails are however a bit more expensive been (5 to euros) however the price was worth it. The town consisted mainly of small streets, where everywhere distributed any bars were. From the nationalities there was rather a bloody strong: English... Everywhere English.

    The pool was dry put. So, there was no. But if such a place in the pool was laying around, it has not all. The bays are there a dream. In Lagos there was at the 6-7 bays and one is nicer than the other. The stairs there are terrible, but for this sight is well worth it.

    The location of the hotel is really great. You need only 5 minutes to the center and approximately 5 to 10 minutes to the beach ( praia dona ana or by small railroad praia camilio ). The train costs only 2,50 Euro and you could the whole day this circle. The center offers super many bars and restaurants, as well as more offers for excursions. We have however a bad experience with a boat made. Drive not with the boat 'via sagers '. We drove 2 hours to the 'port' sagers, which is as total müllhafen turned out with a small ekelstrand. It rocht permanently after bird droppings. Furthermore we should then for the grotentour even extra are charged. So stay away from the day trip 'via sagers '. You should rather to the larger sailing ships look elsewhere.

A good hotel for the summer beach vacation - as far as you are in the cold Atlantic trust. Daily the towels were changed and the rooms cleaned (except for the balcony, there you had to 're stuck). The breakfast was satisfactory, you could in any case enough eating and drinking, it was not extremely varied. To the very nice beaches to come, one must in any case a longer on foot plan. Ageing and carelessly run hotel. The more positive general other reviews here, I can not understand. Breakfast in the basement behind a reassuringly strong ( Brandschutztür as you from local boiler rooms knows). The tables with a whole stack Wegwerfpapiertischdecken covered-is much easier, but you need only the top table cloth away (WAD) and the table is' about ' clean. The' breakfast buffet' not worth mentioning actually a cheek! The room large enough, but all age-old and neglected. Air conditioning unusable, as they are a very strong stench widespread (bacteria centrifuge?), the bathroom incredibly bad and at the border to ... Unbenutzbarkeit. read more

Good and very cheap hotel. On foot in the historic part- 10 minutes, to the beach- 10 minutes Ideal starting point for trips in the area. The hotel is but getting quite old. The reception is distinguished by competence and responsiveness, which you from the hotel management can't say. Rooms are clean and big enough. What in our opinion an absolute disaster is, the 'breakfast room' in the basement. Have now right lots of hotels visited, but this is a. We will definitely again this hotel visit, it is very cheap and the price it cannot be topped, However the ... breakfast take there never again a. Just down in the historic part, there you can tasty breakfast. read more

The hotel certainly has already better Times, but it was nevertheless a good stay. However we were just a few days and for a longer stay I would next time an other hotel choose. The staff spoke very good English and a little German. The breakfast left a little to desire. The coffee did not taste us and the machine for the juices was broken. The pool was during our travels not in use. However it is very small and right on the main street location. read more

The hotel is located about five minutes walk to the bathing bays, to the city is about ten minutes. It is very simple, you mainly noticed the breakfast, as it is rather sparse. Two supermarkets are in the immediate vicinity. Should highlight the cleanliness, the room was always top and the rest of the hotel was always very clean. The staff at the front desk, as well, if you were lucky and have bad luck. They have staff, that is very friendly and helpful, but unfortunately not all. We should according to the catalogue a room safe, however, was unfortunately ... not in our room, but had the opportunity, everything free of charge in the safety deposit box at the front desk to express. If you are a lot on the way and only for sleeping in the hotel, it is a good choice. The location is perfectly OK, unless you want to go to the kilometer long sandy beach. I think, the price/performance ratio is in order. The only point of criticism: the breakfast could be a 3-star hotel have been a bit more varied. read more

    Rooms were of a good size and the bathroom was surprisingly large. Unfortunately no refrigerator. For air conditioning and balcony. Although the decor was a little dated but perfectly fine. Where it is still genuine wood furniture and no particle board!

    The hotel is located directly on a mediocre busy roundabout about a 5-10 minute walk of the first bathing bays, to old town and harbor. Car is highly recommended, as it is down to the long beach (all beautiful sand) but a bit further away.

If you want a quiet, clean and friendly hotel which is close to the many restaurants, shopping, good public transport connections and several nice beaches in the area, but not good acces before a walk of about 10 minutes (comfortable speed) to the beach and the city center to get this hotel great. The hotel is located on a traffic circle, but from the traffic noise you get absolutely nothing. The hotel has an elevator, a bar with a flat screen on the current showing sporting events, Internet access and a parking garage. The selection at the breakfast buffet was ... adequate and the staff at any time very hard. The rooms are with all of which include balconies, air conditioning, telephone and television. Only criticisms are the lack of a pool, the ambience in the breakfast room and here and there should be the walls painting. read more

Many things were good snacks at the hotel, but could be improved. The breakfast was the same every day, for hungerstillen perfectly OK, delights wont be back though. The cleanliness of the bathroom could be a bit better, we still found some small " TRACES " from the previous guest. The outside of the hotel looks scruffy, but we didn't mind that. Perfect peace in our room was not on the street side, but was bearable. The close hotel's garage to availability (about eight parking) be used for free, otherwise the car can be parked for free on the street. ... All in all, we thought the hotel was OK! read more

We were in spite of the not so good rating deliberately chose this hotel. We think the price-performance ratio was good. Our room was basic equipped, the mattresses have seen better days, but we were in the evening so rotten we slept great. Although our room at the front of the hotel was, namely directly on a big roundabout, but also that you can bear. The hotel itself we are quiet and other guests we just short Frühstücksaufenthalt met. Late risers who is lucky, because they are done in 10 minutes. If you're lucky there were bread rolls, dark bread ..., sausage and on good days a choice of two jams. If you eggs, vegetables or even fresh fruit expected this is not the place to go. The you'll have to everything the city will do that. In conclusion can only say, we would recommend it to anyone, the only sleep a budget or to use as a base for excursions. read more

The hotel has 70 's charm, the lobby area looks with dark drapes and old, also dark sofas not very welcoming. The hotel elevator has seen better days. Main reason we chose this hotel was because of the hotel was small with only about 65 rooms. The average age of the guests was mixed, from about 20 to end 60 . When we were there, mainly British and Portuguese/Spanish there on, a few German. read more

    Our double room was small, but adequate and functional furnishing: beds, bedside tables, closet, a mirror, telephone, TV with ARD/ZDF, safe, air conditioning and balcony. In the bathroom were especially at the fittings wear and tear. Otherwise also seemed the decor very dated. But the mattress was ok. We had a room on the 2 . Floor with a direct view to the roundabout (and partial ocean view). After a while, you to the noise (road and the part of nearby disco) get used to it. On the balcony one couldn't sit.

    We had only booked with breakfast, which was served in a room in the cellar in Ruffettform was offered. The room was clean, after every guest the table cloths were changed. However one had to wait for a table sometimes available. Breakfast was the same every day: bread, rolls, margarine, 2 different jams, Apricots tinned, Gouda, ham, yogurt, muesli, cornflakes. Juice and hot drinks (coffee, cappuccino, espresso, hot chocolate) you could go to the vending machine. didn't seem too large demands adequate.

    The staff (especially at the front desk) was very friendly and helpful and always in a good mood. However you could only communicate in English. For non-English German should be a problem. In our room the beds were made and towels were changed daily. The floor would have been cleaned thoroughly. We also had something on the rug spilled, this was ignored, the runners was not replaced.

    There were leisure time offers in the hotel, except for Internet access for a fee (1 EUR for 10 minutes) no. There is a swimming pool, but the was empty. But anyway we could not directly on the main street, only by a wall from separated with cars, want to swim.

    The hotel is situated right on the roundabout take the main street. That was the only drawback. The nearest beach (small rocks lined booked that were connected to) could be reached when you walked along the main road in about 10 minutes. The water was very clean. You can sit in the ceiling, it is not required, rent a poolchair. To the next big sandy beach (Meia Praia, about 4 km long) it's probably 30-40 minutes. The walled, lovely city of Lagos could be reached when you behind the bank at the roundabout downhill end (approx. 10 Minutes). There can be visited two churches, the former slavemarket, the monument Henry the Navigator and the harbor, where you can book boat trips. In Lagos there are lots of nice bars and nightlife, evening is always busy (music, fakirs, caricaturist etc. ). The nearest supermarket is situated about 300 meters from the hotel.

The hotel was very clean and cleaned to the same high standard every day! For a 3 star hotel is very very good. The rooms are simply furnished. Don't expect too much. If you want a reasonably priced hotel in a very good location and not all too much value also modern decor etc. , travelers. Here you can get cleanliness and Portuguese hospitality at a budget price. The Portugese are very friendly, helpful and open! We'll be back! Great country with many attractions, great cities, beautiful beaches and the food was very good (fish in all variations) read more

    The service at this hotel is fantastic! Very helpful staff, all speak English, we had great recommendations for where to eat for the area which beaches, good and cheap local restaurants, etc. as far as Städtetipps.

    Distance to the next beach 10 minutes walk, but it is not too nice. The whole week we were a rental car, which would recommend to anyone as it in the immediate vicinity very much to look at and especially great remote bays and beaches.

If you don't want to great luxury this hotel highly recommended. The value is very good. The only criticism is that the hotel really very noisy, which is especially noticed, if a kids/youth(sport)group at the hotel. The breakfast buffet is not a lot of choice, but all in all it was o.k., the rolls were fresh every morning, just the juices and the so called coffee (from the vending machines) were not even edible. Since we were out all day and from the beginning no demands for the hotel had and the beaches nearby are fantastically beautiful, we would ... always book this hotel again. read more
