My holidays in Hotel Mövenpick in El Gouna initially march 2013 were absolutely great in every respect. The room generous, clean and very peaceful. The service left nothing to be desired, was very friendly, without ostentation. Also the food was excellent. For those, which prefer, personally to be served – whereas the buffets very varied and tasty-the italian and thai, as well as the fish restaurant highly recommended. Offer and ambience in these specialty restaurants convince fully. Also at the pool-restaurants you can wonderful meals.
The hotel's location is great, the town of El Gouna beautiful. This also applies to ... the nearby 18-hole golf course, the easy and at all times in a couple of minutes with the bus to reach is.
It was the 3. time, that i in El Gouna holidays made. The Mövenpick i was with a big by far most convinced. I will definitely return and the hotel can, its 5 stars worthy, warmly recommend. read more

We are definitely coming again.
In spite of the age of the hotel is everything always clean. We had a room in cluster 5 it was very spacious with a large bed and flat screen tv. Huge bathroom and always clean cleaned. The problem is only (and the hotel can't) is that you can see, that the rooms then by orascom renovated (especially in the bathroom). It would be a company outside been the rooms even more beautiful.
The food was very good. Every day there is a different issue ( oriantal, Swiss, etc.) Especially the bread by chef ... zakaria is as from Germany. Simply delicious. Also great, that many portions and not all from a huge pottich to fish is.
And again a special thanks to zakaria which allows the really perfect and clean kitchen to visit.
However not only the parlavion (main restaurant ), but also il limone (italian), and the el sayadin ( oriantal & Seafood) are cheap and good. We had the half board and got it in the two outlets discount.
The service is very good. All are always willing to help and courteous.
Housekeeping was thorough and the front desk competent and friendly.
The beach was also always clean and had enough free chairs.
One must only if you at the oasis pool to the beach goes very far run, to one to swim can. Especially at low tide, i thought, my husband is now running until to Germany by.
The animation is rather 'decent'. That means it runs from and to someone and asks from time to time. You will therefore not harassed and can in peace at the beach relax.
Definitely we are coming again. And in comparison to the hotels in Hurghada are very few east europeans (3 pieces overall ) in the hotel and so everything was quiet. read more

We were in the Mövenpick for the 5. time and this time i was very spoilt. The staff's hospitality is especially highlighted. The food was very good and every wish was fulfilled.

However:
The toilets are in some areas-for example. Oasis pool. Became outdated already very much, should be urgently renovated.
And a large drawback i must unfortunately for the umpteenth time, the lying beds at the kitestrand are simply unbelievable, i can't understand why not unfähr 50 new beds can afford. Everywhere the iron rods out. It is apparently not really something big happens risk ... of injury!
Also children are guests, especially the also in not so stable times. At the beach the oasis pool stood very many ungenützte new beds, why is this not the kitestrand. Nationals of kitern do also pleasant and safe beach chairs. We are also in favour of!
Otherwise we look forward for our next vacation in the Mövenpick El Gouna! read more

Mövenpick resort & spa El Gouna – one of our best vacations - just amazing
In the schulferienfreien and therefore very quiet period from 24-02-2013 until 10-03-2013 we were allowed in this right next to the sea and lagoons and beautifully landscaped grounds spend our vacation. As soon as we our room with lagoon and sea view (cluster 7) referred, we were really amazed. The beds there were in the middle of in the spacious and practically equipped room and were slightly higher. Not only during the day, but also at night was a gorgeous picture, if you by the ... open balcony door to the outside looked. Our room had a barrier free shower, the water pressure was probably due to the amount of on the 3. floor a bit small.
Especially we also want to see the diversity and the way, such as the food was offered, stress. It was again and again a feast for the eyes. Lots of dishes were very nicely in small glasses and bowls arranged. It would blow up the framework, the details to list, but below only a couple positive unusual criteria. For breakfast there were amongst others also dark kornbrötchen, or bread, which definitely not is usual. Partly was the bread freshly baked and warm offered. Also the offered vegetables was very delicate and excellent with bite prepared. Whether meat, fish or similar., everything you could really only enjoy. Zurich's meat stew on swiss theme night eats in a small restaurant not better. The offered house wine, in particular the rose wine, we liked it very much.
The competent restaurant manager were at mealtimes always present, put if it was necessary even hand and were always ready for fun. Especially Mohamed from the main restaurant ' palavrion ', as well as sherif from 'el limone' with their team tried very very hard, the guests to make the stay as pleasant as possible. Mr. Tony (food and beverage manager) made with a handshake and a few personal words to all the staff for, that this joy in your work and hence to the the guests provided for good mood. The whole staff was very friendly, always had a smile on his face, spoke mostly good english, sometimes also german.
In the fourteen days we were looking for again and again after points, not for a complete assessment of languages; however, we found nothing and are already looking forward to the next vacation in the Mövenpick resort & spa El Gouna. read more

Around 550 rooms a very spacious area. Rooms are big enough.
Cleanness and condition is different. Rooms are newly renovated, while dining room, bar and various other facilities a renovation is needed.
Wi-fi can be used for free, but not everywhere front desk.
The guest structure was very mixed (both from the old as well as from the nationalities). However very pleasant. read more

Very nice hotel, insbesndere room, pool area and beach. The staff are very its customers. El Gouna than secured tourist kleinstand carefree freedom of movement outside the hotel. The restaurants in the Mövenpick i for lunch try. Good and tasty. At the buffet in the Mövenpick there was nothing to complain about. The premises the buffet restaurants and the bar are for example in the Steigenberger (vacation 2010) nice running. Angsana spa was, as always great. The location of the angsana spa in the Steigenberger (at the golfclub) i think more appropriate than in cluster 8 of the Mövenpick, which ... no highlight the otherwise nice hotel is. read more

We were at the end of the year 1 week to relax here. Huge large area, but you noticed the many holidaymakers almost not at all. There was no occupied couches with towels, there were just enough loungers available. Very nice ( some heated) pool areas, the red sea in the immediate area, so that one also a place for almost alone found. Different restaurants, bars, pool bars so there was no fight at the buffet gave, simply very pleasant. Particularly beautiful we found close proximity to central down town. El gouna is not the Egypt, dirty, unfinished buildings., it ... is almost a small fairy tale from 1001 Nacht, very nice. The staff incredible friendly and helpful. read more

We really liked. Only criticism, it was missing a comfortable bar with ambience. Maybe a constant band better than all days a other soloist. Mood an hour, unfortunately. Access to the sea for swimming super. At noon and in the evening there is a possibility in various specialty restaurant to dine.

We have ourselves decided the silverster in Egypt and since we are after peace and relaxation longed, came for us only the seaside resort El Gouna into question. In spite of the lots of negative criticisms we have the Hotel Mövenpick booked. The food was hervorragenf, every evening was another country essensthema and dazughörige meals were in buffet form served. The food was versatile and very high quality. We were everywhere very friendly us courteously. We booked a 'budget room' and got a really great room with a view of the sea in cluster 8. unforgettable for us was the ... new year's eve! At the beach a large tent in the topic of the four seasons. The food was again excellent. A large starters buffet, cooked in the middle and a huge dessert buffet with all imaginable variations met our dreams. We have in the hotel also bikes and rented kurvten through the town El Gouna what really is very recommendable. All in all we had a wonderful and relaxing holiday. We are definitely not the last time here and the Hotel Mövenpick definitely very good. read more

It was a really wonderful vacation. We were with a hotel very satisfied. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Positive we also want to see the nice people the clean the room mention. We were for the 3. time in this hotel and the 2. time in the christmas week. It has us again very good, gala buffet on christmas eve was perfect. We always book the renovated rooms and feel it was a plessant experience, the complex is extensive, very well-kept and you feel pretty good. There are certainly also weaknesses, these are now times from the viewpoint of the observer different and one has the possibility this in the 'internal assessment' routes. read more

Finally holiday. We chose the Mövenpick decided. At first i was, whether some reviews the hotel here skeptical. Far from it. The hotel is in top condition, we had a renovated room in the cluster 8 with a view of the wonderful lagoon. The room was in absolute best condition, a very modern bathroom, large bed, unfortunately no king size, so set up, that the rise will be charged the water could see, flat screen tv. The room was absolutely clean, we immediately felt at ease. Only point of criticism the loud air conditioner. The hotel complex is well laid ... out, you feel good straight away arrived. It takes just to one its ways of. The lost however, you can also a lot of fun have. The hotel is actually relatively large and has many rooms. The complex is but very spacious and the people distribute themselves well. You can tell, that the complex not any more the newest is. Kiteferien with girlfriend, not kitet. Has two very good. Hotel hardly occupied because of the incidents in the egyptian großtädten. Of which one noticed in El Gouna but hardly somewhat. read more

Cheap room for offer means 3 egyptian stars for the room in a 5 star hotel!? Thought, that the room a bit further away from the beach would lie? On arrival in the hotel we were immediately offered to a better room against an extra charge to change! The room, which we had booked was not nice. That is true!
