Hotel San Francisco Plaza^{(4 stars)}

I stayed in this hotel 2 nights. Main positive point of my stay here was convenient location in Guadalajara historical center. All the main city sites of interest such as Cathedral, Palacio del Gobierno, Colonial churches, artisan market, Teatro Degollado were in a walking distance from hotel. Av. 16 de Septiembre from where buses run to the main bus station was also nearby. The hotel building itself was of a remarkable architecture with spacious courtyards and balconies, decorated with plants, Frida Callo"s portraits and birds in cages. Hotel offers different types of rooms. We stayed in a twin, rather spacious ... room with windows looking over the Plaza. Room furnishings were old and simple. We were provided by TV in the room, complimentary bottle of water, clean linen, soap and shampoo in a bathroom. There was tile floor in the room, as well in corridors and patios. Buffet breakfast cost extra and was served in one of the patios. Most of all I liked their pancakes and fruit. Travel agent, where I have booked this accommodation provided us with an additional discount, so the price was very favorable and I consider my stay there as much satisfying with a good quality for money. read more
