The Iberostar Punta Cana is one of 4 hotels, the to the complex Iberostar bávaro include. It has about 400 rooms, of which about 80 junior suites. The swimming pool benefit the guests of the Iberostar Dominicana, which is right next door is. The two hotels share all furnishings. The hotel is approximately 20-years-old, but mostly renovated. The hygiene is alright - in comparison to other Iberostar-hotels, for example in Mexico or Brazil, here in the cleanliness not so high value.     We booked a junior suite and were with the size and facilities of the room very satisfied. We had a king size bed, a seating area with sofa and armchairs, and a table with 2 chairs.     The hotel is right by the Playa bávaro, an extensive sandy beach, the to the hotel heared. It is in fact the atlantic coast, the Karibik coast, the in the south the dominican republic to find. The lush, always neat, tropical garden is shared with the identical complex of Iberostar domenica hotels. Pool, beach, restaurants, theatre, casino, shops two hotels. But there are actually 2 receptions. Always everything in clean condition-much staff for clearing away, cleaning. Also in the standlokalen is constantly swept, even the way at the beach were constantly swept. Toilets and showers clean. We were to 4 time in the dom. Republic but where is the caribbean flair remained? All american and european. A lot of it is built up. A shame! Unfortunately cannot i the previous reviews is not confirm. It was everything really clean, however the hotel is, how one says so beautifully, ageing. The furniture is old, many things broken as: toilet seat loose, toilet-door handles loose, duschwannenarmatur relaxed, badtürrahmen broken, screens broken (the my husband had repaired), lampholders over the desk rusty. After complaint happened first of all, nothing. But then came the great day of the survey. And ... see there. At once everything was repaired. What quickly happened, was the repair of our safe's. the room change when we arrived was a breeze. Furthermore i missed the theme nights the here in the reviews so lauded. On the waited i in vain. Was of course the food good. But if you to 4-5 days everything had, you would like to go something else eat. It might also better warm. The food was partly cold. Which i not at all liked the salad buffet. I eat a salad gladly as a starter, but this buffet only consisted of various cabbage types, carrots, cucumber, hard lettuce. Now and then there was times beetroot then soft. (i am a rodent?) Vegetables was only through the water and hard. Is not everyone's thing. But there were enough other things because, the very tasty were. The gardens and the pool area were very clean and were whole day kept clean. Staying at this place was the time of our lives - for the whole family. We were entertained during the whole stay, the food was excellent, beds and rooms really comfortable. It was so good that we didn't want to go out of the hotel. I travelled all over the world, but this is the best hotel I've ever visited. read more

Was in december there for christmas. For me everything was perfect. Can nothing to moan about find. Hotel was very good. Food was in my opinion excellent. You can't please everyone. We stayed at the Iberostar one night before our trip stayed in. Unfortunately we had despite higher room type a loud room, which is directly opposite the stage was. After arriving from Germany a great shame, if you actually only wanted to sleep. Especially after the stage program from Iberostar, the disco music sounds from the opposite side of the hotel was (i think it was the Riu). Otherwise is a part the decor was a little dated but the rooms are big and clean. The complex is very green and with many details nicely laid out. The food and ... the service in the main restaurant were very good. The welcoming at the reception was very warm and überraschendersweise even on german. The beach section was also very nice and you can hour to the right or the left. For a longer stay - with other rooms ☺ - so i would recommend. read more

It was all very good and we are relaxed come back. Food was every night another issue and tasted very good and the hotel complex was clean, well maintained and beautifully landscaped. Even the ärzt speak very good english and are 24 hours distance. read more

Because of the very good reviews the yardstick of course quite far above and in most areas have been our expectations also met and sometimes exceeded. The selection of food was really huge, unfortunately, we did the taste of the food very dissapointed. In previous reviews and also in many conversations with guests, the times the complex Punta Cana/dominicana had visited, a downtrend confirmed. Even with the christmas buffet (one despite reservation had to wait) was as gourmet not from its own expense. I would very much like to see on quantity to the quality declined. The problem was, that ... most food bad seasoned or put on were. Even the fish, vegetables and salads tasted bland. Garlic was almost not to taste. Here there is a lot of work. Or maybe we are from the Robinson Club too spoiled, but there should be the yardstick beach chairs. Also 2 visited specialty restaurants (french and mexican) disappointed us very, as there are the same problems. Good was the fried salmon in the star rock restaurant. Otherwise, we were very satisfied. The service in all areas was very good, the friendliness of the staff exemplary. The alcoholic beverages mostly original and perfect. Activities were plentifully offered and who did not want always found quiet corners. Thank you very much the reception team of the Punta Cana, the us with a a more peaceful room offered. The only fault is, that you are in a hotel and these alone couldn't leave, as it is very isolated. You have the excursions ( bountiful offer) use. read more

    Great animation team. Not too obtrusive but absolutely travelling with. Equipment of loungers at pool and beach was very good. The pool is nice large and very clean, as well as the sanitary facilities the nearby are. The sea water is fantastic! The white really fine sand at the beach is the dream and was also cleaned daily.

    For the three of us were 2 queen beds and a pull-out sofa available. Bie beds were very comfortable. Our room was really spacious and had a sufficient big balcony.
