The hotel is satisfactory. Only the breakfast was below average. Everything from plasitk and paperboard (cutlery, cup, plates). The muffins, jams, orange juice-fake and so on were also below average. That was already a small shock. The had campsite flair, would not be there not the 10 tv in the much too small breakfast room was. I am from Marriott hotels and their daughter hotels not used. read more

I can only recommend the hotel. We stayed during hurricane sandy and were very well looked after. We had to 2 days longer stay, and there was no extra charge requires. The barkeeper was fun and gave us well maintained. The rooms were despite notbesetzung clean. The location is great, you can a lot on foot or with the subway to reach. If I go back to new York fly I will book again in this hotel. read more

The hotel lies two blocks from the Time Square away. Opposite is the bus station. Hotel is only a couple of years built and is in a very good condition. The reception staff are very friendly and competent. Had a small problem when checking in, was quickly and without problem regulated. The rooms are not really big, for two people sufficient, for four persons it was already a little tight. But you're only for sleeping and for three, four days is it not a problem. The selection for breakfast is quite large and the quality good. As in Amerika usual ..., the general rooms very well chilled. A tip is you bar on the 32nd floor. Is not to be missed. read more

Great hotel nearby to the Times Square; ideally located, since both subway, as well as bus stop just a few meters away are. Cleanliness and rooms are top, as well as the offer for breakfast, the breakfast room and the lobby are however ' thanks' the air conditioning very strongly cooled. In the fitness room you will find the' coerced' (Treadmill, bicycle, cross trainers ), the devices are in good condition. Our in short: gladly again at any time! read more

The Fairfield inn is a small, but clean city hotel in the heart of new York. Just a short walk away from the Times square. Other sights (Empire State Building, Central park, Macy's, rock of the top, circle line.) are within walking distance. the rooms are clean and good equipped (Safe, tv, hair dryer, free internet access). Unfortunately during our stay at the construction in the lobby, therefor but the breakfast in the 'sky lounge' (33. Floor; fantastic view of NY) offered. There was coffee, bagels, cereal, different jam, fruit juices and fresh fruit, as well as needed to ... break nearly burgers and scrambled eggs from the Mircrowelle. The rooms are rather small, but clean. There is a safe in the closet and on the desk was a kettle for tea. Flat TV, telephone and iron are also available. The air conditioner is meet your needs. The bathroom is rather small, but with everything that was needed - shower/bath tub, hair dryer. Everything was clean. Our room was opposite the bus terminal. The hotel is located in the 40 . Street next to the Time Square on a side street. Across the street from the bus terminal. Transfer time to the Newark International Airport is about 30 minutes. All important (e.g. B. Empire, Time Square, 5 th Avenue, Rockefeller, Central Park etc. ) is great within walking distance. The nearest subway stadium is, however, just 5 minutes away and all more easily reachable: -) The front desk can assist with tours.

The hotel has been recently finished (in 2009 ) and is therefore in top form. With 244 rooms on circa 30 floors it was relatively large and has everything you need for a city break. We were very pleased and benefited from central location. The only things that bothered us were the loud AC in the room and the too small Frückstückssaal. Under the hotel guests had there were a lot of families, a few couples and a few business people. Most of the guests were Spanish or english-speaking. read more

The rooms are spacious and modern ausgesttattet. We had a king size bed which was very large and comfortable. The room also has a (noisy) air conditioning, an armchair, a safe (free) a wardrobe, chest with flat screen TV, a coffee machine, Netzwerkstecker (for laptop) and telephone. The bathroom was also modern equipped with large bath and shower. About cleanliness there was nothing to complain about, we were always satisfied.

  • Gastronomy
    3.0

There was only a small breakfast room, the full quickly. In the mornings we could have breakfast served from 7 :30 AM and 8 :00 p.m. were already all the tables. Some guests have breakfast served in the lounge at the entrance or took it into the room. The selection of food is rather barren and typically American: bread in donuts-form to make your own toast, muffins, aufwärmbare hamburgers, yogurts, small Fruchtbecher (pickled fruits - so not fresh) and Müesli from the paper cone, which could be softened with milk or water. It was great that every morning fresh (and real) Starbucks coffee!

  • Service

The cleaning staff were always friendly and did an excellent job always perfect. They usually got cleaned the room in the morning. We however only toward noon leave the hotel and on returning that night, the room was still cleaned! If you want to wash clothes in the hotel gets quite expensive: a pair of socks done cost about $3 and a T-shirt around 9 USD! For questions or problems were the staff at the front desk always trying to be helpful. Convenient we found the three available PC's with internet access. They were quite desires and therefore often occupied.

The hotel is right in the center of the 40th Street, near the Port Authority. Times Square, which at 42nd street, it is also only a few minutes walk away. It has restaurants right next to the hotel and the nearest subway is only about 100m away. The two Newark and JFK take a bus or a taxi for about 45 minutes. Distance.

Next to the hotel is currently a construction site. (September 09 ) construction noise was as good as no noise heard. The hotel has 32 Stockerke. In the "cheaper" lower floors are 8 rooms each floor. Further up only 4 per floor. At the top of the 33 Floor is built on a suite and is currently unavailable. 3 lifts - gym and ice machine are in the basement. breakfast room in the hiteren part of the hotel (winter garden, but currently because of construction outside with ironing boards as is. Breakfast free and good. Internet was also free. Air ... conditioning in the breakfast room was always on "Frost" operated - but the only thing in this hotel complaints would be. The area is not really "upscale" but it was never terrible. When I booked this hotel with the Juni09 Roosevelt Comparisons, I would not hesitate for a second to go back and stay at the Fairfield Inn. (Even though the price higher would be) The Fairfield Inn is actually a more star rating. read more

Tourist hotel in the 330W40th Street, apparently straight newly built, noisy hotel. De 2 stars, compared to Manhattan but other than that definitely 3 star. 33 Floors and 8 rooms per floor, 3 reasonably fast elevators, hotel right on the Port Authority bus terminal between 8 and 9 avenue. Complimentary continental breakfast. No pool but seemingly small fitness room in the basement, no bar, no restaurant, guests to my travel time mostly US tourists. Wired internet access in your room, free wireless in the lobby. read more

For 2 stars, and new York just great. Room new and very clean, nice bathroom, small but proof windows, large windows couldn't be opened. Working individual and relatively quiet air conditioning. base area about 15 sqm (estimates) safe could be used for free in the room, wired internet free of charge in room, large flat screen TV, king size bed with new, extra pillows may be ordered online, coffee maker and water for the first day on the room, ice in the basement. Please note, wennmöglich select rooms at the back (view diagonally to select Empire state) and upper floor, in the first 10 floors could be the noise from the Port Authorizy bus terminal and the view of this disturb

Small breakfast room with free breakfast. Eggburger to heat in the microwave, toast, croissants, fruit, coffee (the whole day free), could be cleaned more attentive, breakfast (crockery) can be taken from our room.

Reception competent and friendly, had 16 hours when arriving and was 10 minutes. Once there, after 5 minutes our room was ready, including all the online amenities (extra pillows and blankets) No Front Desk available. Room cleaning perfect, on request was granted out until 14 :00 free of charge even though the hotel was full. Free shuttle available, but no need as NJ Transit stops to Newark at the Port Authority Bus Terminal (25 , -USD roundtrip) JFK I can't review. Taxi rank right on 8th avenue in front of the bus station (1 minute)

Fitness room in the basement should be available. Not seen, if available, then small. New York all around. All destinations sights can be easily reached.

For the NY tourists almost perfect location. From the Airport transfer bus stop about 3 mins walk to Times Square, 2 blocks, U-Bahn line 1 minutes. (42nd Port Authority), no parking; quasi action. The W40th street is the former red light district, but completely rebuilt. Right next door opened in brief a Four Points by Sheraton in same style.
