Second stay at the HESPERIA Bilbao. Again the hotel convinced. Nice check in ( a coworker spoke even German), large and clean rooms, as well as a for Spanish standards convincing breakfast buffet. With the choice this hotel makes you can't go wrong. read more

Good seminar hotel. Getting a bit old and only from the 4th floor a bit quiet. Very centrally located ( Guggenheim 5 minutes on foot, old town from Bilbao 10 minutes). Recommendable nonetheless with forenamed restriction (beware: 4. first floor are smoking rooms!) read more

the rooms are Beautifully appointed with a desk, chair, Flatscreen TV, minibar, telephone andnormal' big. Around the bed there is relatively little room, but the hallway is long and wide. All together it is somewhat badly designed. the air conditioning (warm/cold) is individually adjustable. the bath is also modernly furnished with toilet and bathtub with shower.

  • Gastronomy

The breakfast buffet, if not included in the price, costs 14 euros per person per day or 10,50 euros, if you at least one day in advance at the front desk bay. ( prices January 2012) it is the price but definitely worth it! the buffet offers a massive selection of: toast, rolls, marmelade, ham, cheese. Scrambled egg, roasted Bacon, tortilla, finished mini Baguettes muesli, juices, fruit, etc. A special feature, which I am only in this hotel met is: there is a extra tea bar. Within this framework, in addition to the standard tea bags, loose tea in a shelf and mugs with Teesieben ready. You can from a variety of Teas select.

We had booked a junior suite-these are the house corner with a view of the street, the main street and the river. There are also those with a view of the street and the courtyard. Junior suite very spacious with sufficient Storage space and opportunities, spread out. Decent Table with chairs, writing desk separately, big sofa with table and an armchair with stool to sprawl in one of the colorful window loggias. Two sides walk-in bathroom with two washbowls (here but unfortunately practical use design) and separate area with toilet, bidet and bathtub-everything was very spacious-it is not on each other's toes. Plenty of storage space through large closet and separate ways to counter. Two flat screen tvs-one in the bedroom. Safety deposit box, telephone, mini bar, air conditioning system (separately for sleeping and living areas to taxes)-all in all a very good facilities and a fair price performance ratio. Location was good-the noise level from the street is despite the well insulated windows and is initially took some getting used to. It says a balance between location, view and noise level. If you are looking for peace, you should choose a room with view to the courtyard-with dull view.

  • Gastronomy
    3.0

Because of the atmosphere in the restaurant we only booked breakfast buffet. Buffet in the southern purposes of extensive-but poor which milk products and selection of bread is concerned. Yogurt only pre-packaged product-natural yoghurt despite demand hard to get-no quark, cream not; only white bread (baguette and toast), different bread and when not to. Hot food could not be kept warm and therefore cold after a short time (didn't really taste good with scrambled eggs or fried eggs). Often groups in the hotel, the buffet is always' empty '-the staff hardly come to, so you much patience and time must, if one had breakfast in peace to enjoy wants. Strange food groups are also times before the time-if you are going to the normal time, the buffet is to empty. The value for money is good at the Breakfast absolutely not-the next time we would book without breakfast and breakfast in one of the many cafes, offer more variety (at better Prices). Lunch and dinner is out of hotel restaurant versatile and inexpensive. Plus in the hotel: there is a decent Room Service!

  • Service
    3.0

Staff at the front desk professional friendly and helpful. Complaints are dealt with promptly. Information and explanations-in English or French-with great pleasure given. Staff in the breakfast area looked very overtaxed, understand and speak English and are unmotivated.. You must call stressed drink and the re-filling of the buffets vacated. On days, at which the restaurant chef was present-it was better. On a day half an hour after the beginning of the breakfast the buffet only half constructed and no drinks available. The Complaints of the guests were relatively stoic and impervious to taken. Room cleaning throughout positive.

  • Sport & Entertainment
    2.0

Sport and leisure facilities, pool, beach chairs etc.-none. Wireless internet was advertised as free of charge and also offered speed is however super slow (internet walk!). Faster internet access in the foyer is at an extra cost (and expensive).

On loud street the description with a view of the river and the guggenheim museum-but by hochgewachsene trees limited view of the river only in the 1.-3. Floor and the museum only in the seventh floor (suites sole)-otherwise you'll see on the street. Hotel is located on the corner of a house block-this means room on two sides of streets, beautiful rooms with colorful windows facing the noisy main road. Also in the night a constant noise level is normal. The rooms with a view of 'the back' offer a bleak view into the backyard, but still quieter than the street. From the hotel in five minutes to walk to the guggenheim museum and 15 minutes in about walk to the old town. The airport with the taxi about 25 euro-no direct bus connection airport nearby from the hotel.

Perfect hotel for a city vacation. The Guggenheim Museum, which is only five minutes away, just across the footbridge over the river 400 meters and walk. The old town-very good Tapas in the café Bilbao on the central square-it is only ten minutes Cars under the hotel (entrance at the back) cost will be turned off. Check-in and check-out was very friendly, but it is necessary if they spoke English. Internet quite expensive, for the print our boarding passes is from the front desk for 15 minutes without a calculation made available. Rooms facing the street with colored glass and ... a couch in the pre-built Bay. While the Festwoche (from the first Saturday after 15 August) in the night a bit noisy, because of the many stages and in the bars but a bit the alcohol awarded. Furniture is however very good, nothing to complain about. Breakfast is served in a room on the ground floor. Contrary to the previous was always refilled, and for a Spanish breakfast the food and drinks were 4 * adequate. Freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh fried eggs and scrambled eggs, different sorts of cheese and cold meat, fresh fruit. As you can probably for a few days for the fourth or fifth type do! On our next visit to Bilbao and the surrounding area we will book this hotel again. read more

I had a superior room with river view. You will have a look in the direction of the Guggenheim Museum, but the view is blocked by trees. You had to know that only, trees are a nice view. The room was very nicely equipped, a great bathroom. You can sit comfortably in the bay and pursue his thoughts. Breakfast you can book for ten Euros on site. The waiters are not very friendly, the breakfast is upper middle class, for the price absolutely okay. All in all more than recommendable! read more
