Issues -restaurant were all good. Buffet was once good and bad times (food often only lukewarm ). Animation by the pool way too loud and annoying. Shows of the activity in the evening was short but really good, afterwards is unfortunately nothing more Los. Disco way too cold, empty and every evening the same music ( more something for young people). The bar in the hotel is way too small ( circa 30 people find a place). Without knowledge you see bad (hardly a employee spoke German ). Cleanliness and change of towels in the bathroom rather bad. Value for ... money is good here at all. At the beach is from 11 o'clock in the morning barely a pool chair, since almost all the pool chairs from 7 o'clock fully reserved (, although it is not allowed ). The loungers are old, often broken and uncomfortable. Outside of the hotel everything very expensive. read more

the hotel is divided into two buildings separated, in the middle is the pool area. The inside area and outdoor area is well maintained. We had a all inclusive-Food in many areas to desire left! the guest structure consists mostly of American guests. In the time, in the we in the hotel they were in the second building the sixth Floor completely renovated and we were in the morning by a demolition hammer woke us up. It was then every day over several hours and even in the evening during a beach party until 23 o'clock. If you at the ... beach lAG, you had in the background always the sound of the Abbruchhammers ! read more

    We had a deluxe room with a view of the sea booked, that we got. the room was big and right furnished nicely. Unfortunately, it lacks the right care the rooms reasonable to hold. Partly the rooms quite worn. our room has very of mold smelled and in the bathroom to the bathtub were also a few mildew spots. The coating on the toilet seat was peeling! By balkonscheibe you could not outside look, because the condensation or was dirty. the balcony is very small. The table and two chairs fit so straight there and then was the balcony already full!

    the hotel has a main restaurant (we always ate) and three other specialities restaurants. by the pool is still a pool restaurant, by it but only burger, hot dogs, fries etc. were, just typical American Fast Food Food! the dishes in the main restaurant were the whole time very monotonous! almost every day there were the same Meals, partly cold and not enjoyable and the taste also not always good. The omelet in the morning was not at all to egg, but no, I do not know, whether it was actually from real eggs was manufactured or from the Tetra Pak. altogether made it no joy to go to eat, because you already knew what a was offered. Lunch the beverages in plastic cups and in the evening in the lobby Bar it could quite be, that you have drinks in plastic cup got. the lobby bar castle have at 23 o'clock.

    the staff in general is not really hard and not always friendly! Except for a few exceptions, one had often the feeling, that the individual difficult times drinks to bring. The work has been rather lackluster done! cleaning of the rooms was OK. It was often before, the small towels missing and on demand then came the answer-the were all in the laundry! the staff at the reception was quite disorganized and we have for example check In about 45 minutes needed, because the two persons, behind the front desk stood failed three couples to operate. In The run the time there were some complaints. If you have a request to the front desk had, were told we already so a lot of complaints, we look more through and there is everything collected and the administration forwarded-!

    The entertainment in the evening fell during the whole time, because a theatre been renovated. Only on the penultimate day was once a show. at the beach there were many couches and partial umbrellas, one had to however already at 7:30 o'clock at the beach and a towel the beach chairs, because otherwise you no opportunity more on a umbrella had. The Liegenbelegen was allowed and as a matter of course. the beach is super with white powder sugar sand and turquoise water, but unfortunately this Arubaflair not over, because the beach with beach chairs and very close together is.

    the location of the hotel is very good, opposite there are many restaurant uS shopping malls, so that one also times in the evening there along bummlen can. The distance to the airport and after Oranjestadt betägt about 20 minutes. Oranjestadt however, you can only during the day visit, because in the evening almost all shops are closed, since the place too many during the day cruise liners and their guests frequented. You can get a island tour book, for all sights the islands to see, there are not many, but nevertheless worth seeing.

It was our first vacation 12 October 2011 in the Caribbean and everything is just right. The hotel what top, the people at the hotel very friendly and always nice, also the other guests (mainly Americans) very nice. Great location directly by the indescribably beautiful turquoise beach. The whole island is a dream and you really had at no time the feeling of being in a all-inclusive resort to be, because the service was around the o'clock were very satisfied. There are other good hotels, but a recommendation for this hotel we can definitely make out ☺ The buffet was ... typically American but that's just a matter of taste, but we found it. Also very nice, that the choice of four different restaurants. read more

The hotel is located on a beautiful and very clean beach. Unfortunately also here are the beach chairs in the morning (from six hours!) towels 'treated '. Very annoying, if one were against nine to ten hours to the beach comes. But the staff is super friendly. The different theme restaurants very good. Also here you had to be quick with the reservations, otherwise it was in the evening when there was no table more. The room is large, cleanliness is capitalized here also. It was missing at nothing. The food in the buffet restaurant is American oriented. If you ... do not like/tastes, has the possibility to the many restaurants, along the main street to leave his palate. The hotel in general is very good. Is someone have problems, no english or Niederländischkenntnisse has. What we (two adults and two child.) really awful found, was the (most) food. Apart from the Italian and Asian restaurant we found the food was really bad. Caribbean Feelling could be (at least at the pool) also not really, for constant, unfortunately not Musikbedudelung 'Caribbean', sometimes even at the beach to hear was. Beach and sea make everything but again well-just gorgeous. For someone, the much value on good food in the holiday, the hotel is the really not to recommend, otherwise ... absolutely OK. read more

First of all for the still were: not on Aruba Aruba is a noble Caribbean island has to offer and for everyone Aruba what, sport, shopping (with all brands), relaxing. The staff is very attentive provided, the the tourists as guest on Aruba is also foreign language skills in the luggage has such as, for example, Netherlands, english, Papiamento. Beautiful grounds, the staff nice and friendly. The food and beverage you get pretty the best products. It will always tables and you must employ the is a bit disgusting has but also penetration getting its advantages. As the Americans were very nice and always good on it the is no problem. In the restaurant anyway is special reserved. The us has the best Italian food was excellent or the fallen. You can right for eight times to reserve in advance where you want to eat. Since the Americans very much tip one dollar in the small because there is ... always some dollars again if you push on the counter. The are used to the stop so. -Travel agency: We booked a shuttle flight (Stuttgart via Amsterdam) and (Amsterdam via Aruba) flight in february 09 on the travel agent. To the time it was still not clear, or whether KLM flies also Martinair. (Flight) with start we discovered at check-in on the airport, the flight from Amsterdam to Aruba in principle on the neighboring island of Curacao is also. This was then also the case with the return flight. We flew first 15 minutes of Aruba in after a stay in Curacao and after 1 hour away from the airport to Amsterdam. Why this is, nobody could ... explain us. -Netherlands Antilles: The Netherlands Antilles are the heart of the Caribbean. So clean and wide beaches and crystal-clear turquoise water sometimes so far have we on our luminous Cathedral-Dominican Republic-travel (whether Punta-Cana in East cabarete in Puerto Plata in the North) only very rarely seen. Also very good was, that it no beach sellers. The sunsets were of unique beauty. Hotel: The hotel Occidental Grand Aruba was located directly on the fine sandy beach and adverse palm beach is in the catalog of the tour operator meiers weltreisen with five stars. We believe that there are four stars perfectly sufficient. The hotel occupancy was so us:80% of all the tourists came from USA and Canada 18% of all tourists came from South America only 2% of all holiday-makers came from Europe We must say, that this occupancy figures in percent for all the hotels were roughly the same. After my wife and I all three languages are not very powerful, worked sometimes only the gesture with hands and feet. German is unfortunately in any hotel or restaurant or at least understood also only. Menus are in english it only! The hotel is accessible for all guests it a casino. Las Vegas lets greet.
