- there are newer and older building/rooms. The older are a bit dated and run down. - internet/wi-fi costs extra (expensive! ). Should actually in a 4.5 star hotel including be - average age between 16 and 70. so everything was represented.     As already described above, there is older and newer buildings/rooms. We had an older room, then you also noticed: Badewannenlack chipped, wardrobe broken (door could not be opened), mini-bar is a large, older refrigerator, in the middle of in the room is, the bed is quite soft, there was no toilet brush, etc. However the room it was a nice size, a beautiful big balcony, bathroom was always clean

    There is 1 main restaurant and 3' issues' restaurant. But we didn't use it. The food is of course always a matter of taste, but we can here are some negative reviews not understand, as we actually every day found something, the us angelact has or tasted. The only perhaps to complain about: the waiters are really friendly, but not the fastest, at the ersdten days we about half an hour our beverages waited and eventually itself in/out privileges. But also here there is a remedy, simply a small tip, then worked also perfectly

    All people are always friendly and helpful. But unfortunately almost no german language knowledge. Which actually at the number of german very surprising. Room cleaning was perfect (as in every holiday destination simply at the start and at the end a little tip)

    - sports/entertainment we couldn't rate, Since we the animations not have looked at and not a single day by the pool were. But you have to say, that the pool area nice and large. Only if you the beach in front of the door, why should you get to the pool go?! - beach: sun screens none, however therefor you had trees and palm trees. The loungers are teilweie worn and broken, but with searches you will always find a good pool chair. But unfortunately it is partially without the couch reserving not, especially on the weekend.

    - hotel lies around 20 to 30 minutes away from airport. So better goes it not really. But you can't hear noise - hotel lies directly at the beach - nearby there is actually not much, except for 2 other hotels, in short distance a rum distillery and about 3 kilometers away puerto plate (but we couldn't rate, since it in of the city not much to see)

In comparison to 2010 clear deterioration in the food, ambience, friendliness. No renovation done in the rooms. Everything somewhat plain and dingy. Exception: top-room cleaning thanks Johanna. Beach always still grea. Animation strongly deterioated. Cleanliness in the main restaurant and beach with clear drawbacks. To us the hotel has at least one star lost to 2010. We had a great family vacation spent in this hotel, but it was obvious, that the hotel is already a bit outdated: in our room had the fan an imbalance, the toilet flushing worked sometimes with and the toilet clogged time gladly. Moreover, there were the furniture in affect older: the mirror was scratched, the doors of the closets and the balcony door was difficult to open and close and the safe would probably also from our 2 year ols daughter be cracked To eat: the breakfast was good, there was wide choice and nobody said something, if you 2 ... times between 7 and 11 o'clock to eat appeared. Near lunch and dinner was unfortunately often the quality in particular the meat not! A new acquisition of silverware (knives the cut, a sufficient number of spoons) and more plates but would have been nice! The pool area was nice, but a children's area i missed something (there is only one children's swimming pool in of the child care) and the announced playground was not available. Also here would be new additions necessary: more pool towels, new beach chairs and more hartplastikbecher. We still a relaxing hotel, and if it a problem gave, we were quickly helped. A tip still when booking point 8., that only about 20 kilometer from airport Puerto Plata cruise terminals and not the 4-5 bus hours removed airport in santo domingo! read more

    To the main restaurant there was additionally still 3 more restaurants (brazilian, gourmet, mexican) these were all 3 very good! Per week can each additional restaurant once be used. You must, however, in time for the guest service book, since the restaurants very acceptable. The gourmet and mexican restaurants you eat à la carte. As you can from various food starter, soup, main course and dessert to choose. The brazilian there is a buffet with side dishes and meat kabobs to table, where one for liking something can. Here the selection was very big and it was very delicious! The main restaurant offered in the evenings always different issues. These repeated on a weekly basis. Always something for everyone there and particularly the gourmets their moneys worth (as i think ☺ The breakfast had a wide choice of different sorts of bread and rolls. Particularly the omelet station was very delicious! Here you could from different ingredients en omelet make let. Miami delicious. At the beach bar there is at any time snacks (chips, burgers, pizza...) The cocktail card is very big and the beverages tasted very good.

    Of al we evening in the hotel arrived and our room visited, we were not particularly impressed. This was less at the facilities or drawbacks, however rather because, that before the house block a loud ventilation had. Thus we could the night hardly sleep. The next day we went to the front desk and described our request. The chef understands very good german and the other staff can sometimes german. They offered us 2 different rooms to, which we on the next day visit could. The next day we moved in another room and from now on we also had no sleepless nights more. The service was great and in the holiday time! As i have had much seen. Top Also the cleaning of the rooms was always friendly and decent. The wet bar was daily with new drinks refilled (2 beer, 1 Cola, 1 Sprite) Also without tip you can get a excellent service!

    By the pool there were daily various activities (dance, water polo...) Also at the beach daily beach volleyball played. The entertainment team is really great. Every evening there was a show and these were mostly from the entertainment staff performed. I found the shows all very nice, even if many from dances were. The team gave itself strives very much and it was always funny. Once a week every evening there was a beach party. The shows go up 10:30 p. m.. Afterwards it was quiet. If you then still not to bed to go would like, you can in the hotel's dance bar go. The beach is very clean, because several times a day the staff the plastic cups from the beach and also the seaweed will be removed. Some day the water a bit murky, but in this area is normal. There was also strandsecuritie, the the beach several times and from. We were on the holiday season in the hotel and always got a beach chair! However is worthwhile early rise and reserve.

    The hotel is near the airport Puerto Plata and therefore the transfer amounts to only about 30 minutes. The next shopping center is located in Playa Dorada. Here you can comfortably on foot at the beach walk along (about 30 minutes), but from traders is addressed. However, these are all very friendly and accept a no. However, you can also with the mopeds the local bus, which an experience value is. If you the hotel walk, there is also a bus stop. Previously you will immediately from the taxi drives approached, but also here is accepted a ' no. The beach is right at the hotel, depending on the location of the blocks is one there a few minutes on foot.

A nice hotel with blemishes, friendly staff, a very nice pool and nice beach. Unfortunately the food is somewhat one-sided, but the 3 restaurants compensate for. The hotel is outdated the facilities, furniture, television bathroom was a bit old. Cleanliness in the room but okay. To eat you need no word since it almost Tasteless and every 3. day repeated itself. Cleanliness at the bars pool and snack bar bad (tables). The beach is as far as clean, only many couches defectively and at 7:00 o'clock occupied also by the pool. Friendliness is not always capitalized. The hotel i would not recommend. read more

Ageing. Rooms worn it was in need of renovation. Restaurant and food sometimes Unacceptable. Morning coffee if cups available, cups yes! Coffee? The furniture in the room were partly damaged and very old, the air conditioning more than adventurous. All together however okay if you consider, that one actually only for sleeping there. Since we did the next problem. If you in the building 7 be accommodated, means the 15 meters of air line for hotel's own disco in the 23:00 until 02:00 o'clock very loud mostly spanish music. Thanks to ear plugs with falling asleep but nevertheless folded ☺ the hotel complex itself is very spacious and very clean. Constantly somewhere swept, wiped or tidy. All of the staff ... are very accommodating and friendly and a small tip of course more. Also the food the buffet was mostly good. Meat and pasta were always overcooked which means: meat extremely tough and pasta mushy ☺ fish and chicken, however, were always a poem. It was in the 14 days almost every day another theme buffet and therefore hardly repeated dishes. The choice was, overall also okay. The only: they should just at the beginning of the holiday remember where what is or where the coffee or the wine, the beverages then yourself, because until the waiter comes to it is often very long. A highlight was the brazilian and mexican restaurant. The gourmet restaurant given was a big disappointment. The pool is the heart the hotel, was cleaned every morning and is located in great condition. The worst in the vacation were the loungers at pool and beach. More than half were in the middle the sunbathing area or on the headboard broken which of course very uncomfortable! The evening shows in the theatre were very varied and very good listed. We always liked it really enjoyed. After the theatre, we got the evening in the disco drink, which in front of the hotel and for hotel guests no admission costs. All in all a very nice vacation in a very nice hotel area! Conclusion: highly recommended! read more

We were 12 days guests. The hotel is strong ageing, you should in any case a deluxe room book. The food is modest, always the same. The cleanliness and the cleaning the toilets outside the room are catastrophic, such different. Toilets one has never seen. We would not book this hotel again. read more

For us it was a wonderful vacation, nothing to fault - you must always the price in mind. In the event, that someone to the hotel want, always in block 8 or 9 go, or book. These are the renovated spaces. For all, the room complain about, and in other blocks were, i fully understand. This rooms are dark and broken. To 5 stars it is missing the hotel however already far. The chairs at the beach are often broken, however is the throughout the dominican republic so-so typical of the country \u263a. At the beach lack unfortunately tables. The ... food is varied, not the greatest buffet, however absolutely sufficient and there was always something for everybody. The pool is really reasonable and neat. Unfortunately there was no beautiful animation about tags and the dance course was also not. The fitness studio get a smooth 6, the devices are dusty and broken. But that was already the only thing, that not at all went. The cocktails and the soft drinks you can wonderful in bubble leave. Delicious I would no taxi tour the travel guide book, but a taxi with a guide book, so we saw crazy a lot of Puerto Plata and the teleferico-and the for 40 Dollar less. The tours however from the hotel were great - absolutely worth the money. A point about the locals, the supposedly at the weekend as bad. The experience i had not at all. Honestly i found most us german impossible and right behind the french. The staff at the hotel, speaks little german, but all speak fluent english so absolutely sufficient, the could not in any language setup. Are some kilometer distance. The complex has already gotten a bit old, for example in the 6 weeks we spent there The locks several times repaired, or be replaced. The sunbeds at the pool and the beach Are predominantly in miserable condition, and should urgently needed replacement. The staff is very hard-working and friendly. But, obviously, the stock of towels so low, that often the new towels until late (partly only after 17 o'clock) alloted were, so that, as the old towels already in the morning were collected, the showers no towels available were. Also the rooms partly cleaned until late in the afternoon. ... A postscript, at the beach prevails from lunch many a time such a strong wind, that a stay was not possible. read more

    Absolutely okay, large, clean, even if the closets some ' hiccups' patterns. Beds were okay, the mattresses weren't worn out, fridge always refilled. Always warm/hot water for showers. The television no ARD, satellite etc. Gives, but only the dw should be aware, but who goes already into the Karibik, around to watch... Tip for cleaning lady all 3 days 100 pesos and everything was okay

    The bad evaluation of some of the guests i can't understand. Certainly not a sternrestaurant but all in all okay. The 3 theme restaurants are good, the gourmet was great (chateau briand, media mmhh). Sunday is in the main restaurant 'gala dinner ', would this day no topic restaurant book. Booking the themenrest. From monday for the whole week, so waiting (nervt a little, but you (and mrs) can then also for all 3 rest. Book). At the beach is at least a beach bar too few (only one, there are but also snacks). Tips : 1 American Dollar or 50 pesos (= 1 €) from time to time the line ☺

    Didn't use the pool, visually beautiful. The water sports were rather limited ; not only w/the weather, the number of boats for the size the hotel too low. I was annoyed, that the catamaran was is free, but if you do not license, or not solely on the sea wants, an employee hired and of course to pay. Shows singing-and much with dance, too loud, bad acoustics and miserable coordinated (too many 'highs').

    Unfortunately, i with the reservation slept in and we were in sd landed. At least we had therefore a sightseeing tour, but the long journey has not compensated. Bars approximately 15 minutes away, but would the 'shopping center' prefer (partly even more favorably, also book excursions -2 german suppliers). Taxis (expensive) and gua guas (20 pesos/person) to the main street.

Vacation was super, staff always friendly and set up. Beach was clean and beautiful, could however repeatedly clean. Pool was also great except small faults.
