We were in the very well maintained, in the traditional lanna style laid out hotel complex very felt at ease! The extremely stylish rooms are in 2-storey bungalows in a small green garden. The (relatively small ) pool area with bar/ restaurant was clean and nicely, fresh Bath hand towels every day free available made. Prices for food, cocktails etc. We found adequate, the food altogether very good. The hotel complex is very centrally located in the middle in the old town, nevertheless it is very quiet. We found it very pleasant, in the afternoon after our excursions by the ... pool yet a few hours rest and new energy for the evening collect! We would next time definitely again the tamarind -hotel book and could do it only recommend! read more

Hardly one the hotel entering, makes you feel as on vacation. Whereby on the doorstep the pure life raves!
Probably that was times an old monastery, what its name from a 200-year-old tree got, in one of the beautiful inner courtyards is (tamarind ). The complex is thus not 'modern' style, but it offers a very nice flair and a harmonious ambience. Everything is neat and clean. Nowhere a reason to the complaint.
A flat screen you will in vain search (and instead an old CRT find). But who needs already! The would not fit purely!
For travel after Chiang ... May the tamarind village only recommend! read more

We stayed from the tamarind loved it! On personal recommendation we stayed there three nights for the price of two. The check in was pleasant, every taxi driver knows the tamarind, from the train station in 15 minutes we were there. To the Airport takes about 20 minutes you The complex lies by a long driveway off the street, we couldn't hear noise. For a Central city hotel, it was incredibly quiet location. The hotel is located in the old town, it's everything you could wish for, entertainment and travel agents for excursions. ten minute walk to the nearest gate ... of the old city walls. We loved the bathroom, everything was tastefully equipped and the whole hotel was very harmonious. The pool is large and looks great from, is however not deep. There were plenty of beach chairs, the pool is between the buildings, so there is no space for more. Next door is the restaurant, breakfast next to the pool in the morning was great. There are some great gardens, the 200-year-old tamarind tree is the pride of the hotel. We had it right in front of our door and could understand. Tip: we booked at a travel agency a trip. We have arranged directly with the driver/guide for those next day, that he runs in the area and which shows. We didn't get that cost no charges for the Agency more, only the rent for the car. If you find a good guide, you should hold. The area around Chiang May is known for trekking and things like elephant camp and Bergvölker-village. The night market is really nice and the Tuk tuks are much cheaper than for example in Bangkok. We ate in many restaurants and they were all good. At the activities, there was only one small drawback, because the Hotel no animation or sports facilities except the pool, but in Chiang May at 33 degrees you will not play tennis or anything like that. You can get a Thai massage at the hotel, as usual in Thailand. The food in the hotel we found great, very authentic and the atmosphere was very nice, but here the prices even higher. You should really try the Thai Iced tea. Whenever a few leaves on the floor, was swept by the attentive staff immediately and tidy. All spoke very good English and good care of us, when it rained we were able to hire parasols. Two thumbs up, we would have stayed longer with great pleasure! read more
