Hotel Athina Beach^{(3 stars)}

Great vacation/island with a hotel for a week vacation is adequate (but no comfort). Hotel is for a pure beach holiday rather not recommendable. The staff and the owners are very nice and tried very hard with everything. read more

A quiet little hotel. A lot of luxury you will not find them there. The owners are very friendly and accommodating, however. The cleanliness is typical Greek-it was very hard, but a touch chlorine smell was constantly in the air. Also a few 'foreign' hair found in the bathroom.HCLFHLThe location is okay-is located right on the beach (separated by a volleyball court, the US has robbed the sea view). After Sami town it was about 20 minutes on foot. There are the 'good' restaurants, shopping and the central point for excursions (boat/bus).HCLFHLHCLFHLOverall, the vacation was very nice and ... Kefalonia is can only be recommended, the hotel but we only used as 'place to stay '. It was unfortunately not. read more

The hotel captivates with its extreme hospitality. It is a family-run Hotel. Here even the hands of grandma. All are very helpful. No Mass Tourism. Nobody wants to sell you something! The beach is about 50m away from the hotel. The hotel is very clean. The bed sheets were changed every day and the room refreshed. The air conditioning is state of the art. purchases you can store in the fridge. A small supermarket is about 500m away. Otherwise it's worth to take a walk on the beach (about 1 kilometer) after Sami. There is very good food, shop and ... everything that belonged to it. You must rent a car! The most beautiful destinations are not within walking distance. Highly recommendable. read more

We felt very comfortable in the Hotel Athina comfortable. The rooms are with a TV, air conditioning, fridge and safe equipped. The breakfast buffet offers no huge selection and varies hardly, it is however for all tastes something to find. Bread, sausage, cheese, cereal, yoghurt, tea, coffee, fruit, eTC. - more you need not really-) The owner Makis is a very warm, Merry beings. In the evening it is like to Ouzo or Metaxa at the bar. You feel very at ease, from him you can really have everything. In the Nebenstadt Sami you will find many shops, restaurants ... and rental car company ( about 25€ per day for a small car). As the brother of makis the owner the neighboring hotels is, is it allowed, the pool and jacuzzi to use! We will definitely in nearby the future Hotel Athina visit again! read more
