Smaller hotel a bit outside of the center. Belongs to the finkennest, but 400 meters away. All offers of finkennests can be used.
Room quiet but older decor, no safety deposit box, however nice balcony with dream view. Shower rather small, bathroom otherwise reasonable and new.
Choice of meals good, however not always the quality. Very good, rather bad. Very friendly serving staff!
Unfortunately was the reception not always with friendly and helpful mitabreitern manned. At our arrival missed the baby crib but in the course of of the afternoon was brought to our room. When we returned after the ... dinner back our small child to bed to, we found out, that it on one side was broken, and from the bed in any case was possible. We asked will be charged at the front desk to another whole bed to. It would told us, that someone immediately took into it worried about. After more than 30 minutes (with a tired and very quengeligem child in the room) we asked again at the front desk after, where the bed stay? Indicates erhilt I very rude and schörfe answer, that extra a staff members in the 400 meters away finkennest must, in order to another bed to procure. I answered, that it cannot, that we first a defective and dangerous bed in the room and now this long waiting time and such a rude response.
We decided, the baby carriage as roost reconfigure and were glad, as our child so the sleep found. The whole crib was then delivered, believe it or not one and a half hours after complaining. For me incredibly, since the hotel finkenhof to finkennest and this a special baby/ hotel for children as advertised.
I would the finkenhof not for families with children recommend. read more

Manageable hotel with approximately 70 beds and a good value for money. The room ( Siskin) was clean and enough room for 2 adults and 2 children. The staff are very friendly, attentive and helpful. About minutes are the center, as well as different bus stops reachable, so during the vacation no private car. The breakfast buffet is extensive, however switch the offer hardly. For dinner there is a large and delicious buffet of starters, the main course is varied has both taste partly still air upward. The drink prices in the bar are quite higher than the comparable hotels ... for example in Austria is used, but it is the price level the region. Wi-Fi is free in the lobby/ bar, the speed is however quite slow. read more

The hotel offers everything which one wishes oneself for a peaceful and satisfactory vacation: spacious rooms - if you the rooms south selects - that looks great, excellent food - this applies to both the rich breakfast buffet with organic juices and always rich tyrolean bacon as well as for the 5-course -dinner with a magnificent salad and appetizers buffet and changing themed buffet, like for instance nuddelbüfett, dessert buffet, buffet from the grill ), swimming pool outside and swimming pool inside, sauna, hot tub, beautiful bar with free of charge access to the internet, wine tasting with the boss ... H. Walter F., once per week a guided hike and last but not least very friendly and helpful staff.
My wife and I are in 2013 the 10 time vacation the finkenhof make true after our motto: finch must be, at least once per year - we were already 2 times per year there -.
And a large plus point: the hotel guests the finkenhof dèrfen also the sauna and bathing area in the finch-own hotel finkennest mitbenützen wafting gently on the unique beautiful terrace - with terrific view of the meranerbecken, across the villages Dorf Tirol, riffian and künz in passeiertal - stay and a or also several drinks enjoy - the price the same will be automatically on the own room number from the finkenhof-.
Particularly the excellent food has it us done.
Otherwise there was in and around Schenna countless, wonderful possibilities for hiking. You need during the whole stay the own car not to use, as it was much more comfortable with the permanent and regularly circulating buses itself move at a very reasonable price with the weekly ticket.
For a family with children I would the wonderful hotel finkennest recommend.

Hotel with excellent food and good facilities in a central but peaceful location in Schenna. By the combination with the sister hotel Finkennest (with great child care) especially for young families suitable. With indoor and outdoor swimming pool one is furthermore dependend on the weather. read more

Up to a few minor flaws a very nice stay.
We were with another couple the finkenhof, unfortunately it has until the 3 day long until we a table got, the outdoor swimming pool is very fresh, which at 30° Luftthemeratur but tolerable was.
The hot tub should be a better Ascend had.
The booked room was great and spacious. read more

Were a few sometimes in this hotel; uS this year not so good anymore fallen, as the last vacation; hotel has quite lost; four star hotel, and the fried eggs in addition pay (3. 50 Euro); there were only a few guests in the hotel, therefore were in the morning and in the evening at the buffet relatively few choices; read more

Helmut family-run hotel with wonderful view over Meran and the surrounding mountains from the balcony from. Excellent understated service, very friendly staff, bathrobes and sauna towels on the rooms. Breakfast buffet and dinner very good, plentiful and always fresh filled. Both older couples, as well as families with children, lots of Italians. read more

Our overall impression does not correspond at all to the set reviews. The corridors were dark and with artificial plants' funkiness going '. The carpet our room had stains on, the bad left. The south-facing rooms could in the summer an airco necessary. One of us really polite pretended request for another room was extremley: 'you can pay and leave'. The we did. The Finkenhof was again great hotel excellent. We had a
Family room with two bedrooms, a large bathroom and separate toilet. The only negative must be called the sauna area, which unfortunately noise and odors from the kitchen no wellness atmosphere leaves. There is the possibility of the newer and modern sauna in the sister hotel Nest slippers to use but it is comfortable. read more

A hotel, which already somewhat older is, but very well renovated and with an excellent price/performanceproportion.
All service forces are multi-lingual, very friendly, discreet, and helpful.
Hotel and rooms are very clean and all busy are very welcoming.
The food is so varied and lavish, that even a little less top.
Sports and children offer (in the neighboring Finkennest) are great.
Swimming pool in front of the hotel, in addition, in the house, garage, and a sauna.
If you want a state-of-the-art designer Hotel searches is here wrong, but if you want a really good, affordable hotel, is located in ... the Finkenhof feel very comfortable.
The only thing we missed was the Internet access in the room, it was only in the bar. As you but too much on this subject is medium, there was no downside. read more

We were already there for the second time. Great active holiday with guided bike tours, staff, especially Dragan, very nice and accommodating. Food varied and delicious. Had a newly renovated room, it was really great! read more

We were arriving very friendly and helpful and the handling during the stay was very family. The staff (especially service and bar) contributed a lot to a loose and humorous atmosphere. We have stayed in 25 years time 14 in schenna, of twelve times in the hotel Finkenhof. We have the elevation of this family run Hotel convenient live experienced, the development. Walter Finch, the owner, is permanent so busy the house to improve, to increase the international standards. Particularly successful is the bar area, this is the central hub of the hotel and the scope of Dragan, in the fourth year! There is-the speaks for it! It is a soul of human and if in the evenings at the bar his creations get bored, love to stay there again: a ... tip: greetings from Jochen order, the work! Honest!
The hotel has a drawback, the wellness area is too small, but in the next few years will help.
A further deficiency are the Biker, they are often a world of its own and have their own world so. The fit, but usually not!
But all in all the hotel is highly recommendable, we were certainly not the last time there. read more

If you wanted it a bit 'tight' or'family' like, is right at home here.
We were already four times Finkenhof. Other hotels in schenna may be a bit more sophisticated, full of atmosphere you can Finkenhof but no!
The Finkenhof is a house, which over the years a bit by bit
four stars Level has been placed. The house was advanced and year after year improved. To the Finkenhof there is still about a five-minute walk away, the hotel slippers nest. Newly built it is completely for additional use. The standard is even a half star more.
is however rather ... something for families since it larger rooms and a playground, as well as Entertainment for children.
All in all, a really recommendable Hotel( Finkenhof) the particularly by the friendliness of the entire staff offers. The guest is king!
Especially the 'keeper' (Dragan) is an attraction. Always in the best mood. Not only played, better hardly!

This was the first time we stayed in the hotel Finkenhof in schenna.
Breakfast, as well as the cleanliness of the restaurant half board were very delicious, varied and of good quality.
Our room/bathroom was large enough and always top cleaned.
The whole house will put much importance to cleanliness.
And especially positive we noticed, was the friendliness of all the staff of the hotel. We had a good relaxed and would love to stay again at this lovely house. read more
