I was 2 years ago in the merrils 2. i expect with a three stars (nationaltypically) really not very much. The hotel has because of its location and the size of the rooms good benefits-but the food was this time i was very bad-in the truest sense. Rancid butter, moldy bread, no choice... Furthermore, that from 10:00 p. m. the water was turned off, the restaurant music from the late 60. was (oh carol, spanish eyes...) And daily the same cd. Jamaica top-merril's never again. read more

    We had room 808 ( superior). It was big and spacious with a balcony and views of the pool, restaurant, beach and kitchen entrance and therefore. Rooms were daily properly cleaned.

    The food all inclusive was a total catastrophe. From 3 * + the far away, 1* would be more appropriate. The first days there were hardly any something to eat. Half an hour after our breakfast was except toast, butter and jam nothing more. Afterwards the food was a little better, but nevertheless the worst that we on our past journeys experienced with three stars.

Since merril's beach i and ii were closed, we stayed in the merril's ii and could thus the offer, the bodies of all three hotel, didn't have to use. The hotel is located quite conveniently located approximately 500 meters walk from 'Negril-city ' (Negril has no real center) away right next to the sea. We had a nice large room, a bit caribbean worn, but clean and perfectly adequate. We had booked all inclusive. The restaurant was a poorly designed terrace directly at the pool, 15 meters away from the sea. The sea compensated only partly for the rest. The ... kitchen was unfortunately a flop. The breakfast consisted of toast, always the same two sorts of jam, butter, some fruit and the english share (sausages, beans, warm side dishes). After a new kettle had been acquired was, there was from the 2. week also fried eggs or omelets, after order directly prepared were. Sausage and cheese, muesli, quark or similar: none. Often something missing and the staff had only be asked, to holidaymakers. The failed sometimes, because obviously too few was available. Afternoons and evenings there was a fish and a meat dish (mostly chicken), rice or potatoes, sometimes vegetables and always the same salad with always identical dressing. Some fruit (always the same) should the meal off. These monotonous food was hanging us after a short time 'sick'. The bar gave soft drinks, beer, wine and cocktails. From the 2. week the cocktailkarte recovered, because not all alcoholic beverages were available and be improvised had. Only rum, fortunately on Jamaica a course drinks, was always there. First the white wine (days) from, then there was the red wine. Only after days it was refilled. A ray of hope the staff was: friendly and always in a good mood. The hotel itself is oK, but from the bar area and food everything you could forget. At the bar and about the food, what very, very clearly was, served everything in and around the hotel funtioning. Of the 6 drinks the offers where there were sometimes only two. ( water and Fanta.) choice of meals was either food or go hungry. You had no choice and the staff were despite low number of tourists visibly overburdened. Strandbewohner were against certain Rauchartickel ( Mario.) of the modest offer of the meals taken care of. All together is the value ... for money with nothing to explain. read more

Service needs friendly and better can be formed. Choice of food, particularly the breakfast very monotonous. No idea as you can get cocktails prepared, always differently. Solely the beach and the sea were fascinated, the Jamaicaner with your friendlinessUS/mood convinced. For peace searching the Negriler beach is rather unsuitable, as to the beach main street round. The atmosphere among the different nationalities was good. read more

The beach was beautiful and clean. The kompl. Hotel is very outdated and should be renovated. Example: doors in the room do not close correctly. Furthermore has every room a riessiges ventilation hole. The beds are through convenient. Cleaned. The food was enjoyable. But if the plates were empty you had to often ask, if something replenished. It was several times a bar-B-queue (jerk) K, was all right live music there was then also. But to point 22 hours was closed and there was nothing more. But the worst was the laermpegel. In the nearby bar almost every day Concerts. ... We saw this on our balcony and in our bedroom always witness. It was so loud, that we thought we sit on the stage. If then between 2 and 3 o'clock conclusion was, started at 6 o'clock the staff at the hotel the Fruehschicht at. Unacceptable. We loved the merril's two very good. The location was just fantastic. All in all a simple and good hotel, but all we needed not to Jamaica. The staff were always very friendly even without tips. It it is worthwhile in any case to go on excursions, we went on three and everyone was a great experience. We have made the trips with John and Anita, was really good. We had a real dream vacation ☺ read more

In general is a good hotel for those merril's the price you pay. However, we had a lot of trouble with the choice of the dishes (cleanliness & always the same) and the meal, because it took a long time until it finally something (as an alternative-with, of course, additional costs-is the Italian cafe across the street from merril's II and the restaurant/hotel Kuyaba very recommendable). The staff was very nice and helpful however some songs the other half are not, as you unmotivated and rather abrupt and unfriendly were. The best staff was security Ralph ☺! The sea was ... amazing and the possibilities for excursions there were enough. Also, the location of the hotel is great-all opportunities for shopping/Bank walk reachable. Despite all the (beach boys apart) It was a very enjoyable and relaxing vacation, by nice people get to know-nice greetings to Dresden, Munich & Hamburg ☺ read more

Those on this hotel complain, should once before in the clear about where they were going! To Jamaica in a small, affordable 3/3.5 stars hotel on one of the most beautiful beach- and meerabschnitte in Negril. Not a luxury hotel. If it want then bay but simply one of these totally overpriced hotels, but complain about the price or the service there. Or even better, just left at home! Jamaica is way too beautiful and don't need constant moaner, with completely wrong expectations arrival, because they are not informed in advance. I was in any case for the 2. ... time here and come completely certainly again. (see my hotel review from the november 2006) Jamaica! Yeah you - not a problem! read more

Small, comfortable hotel locatioon where you find peace and relaxation. The beach is wonderful and perfect for long walks on the white sand. Pure Caribbean. Food in the hotel was OK, not very varied, always fresh therefor. The staff was very friendly and courteous. We stayed in the two weeks we relaxed very well and we loved it, that there are still hotels, the " all-inclusive " and you still find peace and relaxation. We enjoyed the lack of entertainment. Always sufficient buffet the same-fresh-was prepared. A bit more fruit for dessert I would have liked. The cakes were delicious ... and the coffee was very good. The hotel has its star rating and we recommend the a simple, clean, small hotel. If you want luxury, great buffets and action should rather book something else. read more

Those who expect food like at home to have, is here wrongly at the place. The leisure activity offer is more than adequate and typical of the country. Location is fantastic. As usual in southern was very seldom, will be raised by sellers, but not unpleasant. Of course, whether you Ganya wants to smoke. If you don't want to everything, you should rather go to Austria. Bottom line, fantastic holiday and stay here, than in the riu Tourieenklave. read more

Hotel basic nature, reminded us of a dingy Gartenhütte. At the back there was a public parking lot, where there was constant heavy basses roared. The rooms made early in the morning several crafts noise. Linen should be supposed to run every three days, is not too often, in the heat. We only had sand in the beds, as are not even been refused. The bedside table was sticky gum, the walls were spattered with drinks. The safe was so small, that it was fine and such a strange construction, that when our lock I-pod destroyed. On the beach constantly ... around teenagers dealers and the whole day, it smelled after " ganja ". In the evening you could not at all to the beach, then one was at the mercy of grapes of purchases. The food was more bones as meat and you had to be careful with the bad lighting up the teeth bite. Drinks at the bar were often out. Then there was only angelich water and juice. We had the impression, the staff was partly not in the mood and the other part tipped itself rather behind the gills. The service more or less always worked we had to give a tip. read more

Conclusion: rooms simply decorated, really only the bare essentials available, were dirty and were cleaned bad, only swept, and the bedsheets smooth. Sand in the bed gave tips to the staff, despite repeated. Food was also only for simple souls, hardly any protein shares in food, boring things. 1 x BBQ was OK. Staff in the restaurant and bar area totally unmotivated, even after they got tips hardly any improvement. Dirty tablecloths, large rushing crawling with dark in the open-air restaurant with table and chairs and sometimes also about the guests. Guests: many Italians, but behaved, unlike some German, some ... of which directly couples a German colony founded, led by the hawkers walli from the allgäu (the lady geierte day and night so loudly, the romantic Caribbean flair still nothing more satisfying wa, R and even when we saw the most beautiful sunsets basses the entire beach. Measured were the beach traders and Ganjaverkäufer still harmless and even the noise can be irritating us. The hotel was located directly on the beautiful sandy beach and only in terms of the three merril's comfortable couches. The area is protected from any pushy salesmen's security. We had no problems with the Jamaikanern, all are very friendly and a "No, thanks" is sufficient, in order to have some peace and quiet. The food was delicious and the selection of salads was large. There were no problems with Durchrfall or similar. We enjoyed, in the merril's II almost only Austrians and we felt like family. The staff was very nice and entertaining. The rooms are large, but simply ... furnished. There is air conditioning, ceiling fan, and television. The bathroom was functional, but very clean and it gave daily fresh towels and beach towels both. We were fascinated by Jamaica and have enjoyed the two weeks. The merril's II beach we can only recommend!! read more

If you can do without on tasty food is correct in this hotel. The distance to the beach was unique crystal clear water and clean. The service was moderate but NTs a tips it got better. Also the excursions we had booked over Neckermann were good. The Jamaicans are a very joyful people and nice. Our holidays we with some flaws in this Hotel fully understood only beach holiday. read more

Excessive disappointment for us both. The hotel area on the sandy beach of negril was OK, but you could get even during the day hardly a move outside of the hotel area. Immediately made mosquitos and sand fleas, but the beach vendors and dealers on us. As soon as it got dark in the hotel area we had literally removed. In our area was not kept reggae music, which we so much had been very happy. In the evening we heard beautiful live reggae from Alfred's bar next door. The attempt to get there was after a few meters along ... the beach several times suddenly stopped. Distressed us immediately and with friendly locals area bands, what they charged a tip requested. In relaxation, recreation and become acquainted with the local bodies something different. In Cuba and Mexico, we have the Caribbean flair of its beautiful side met. That is why we are disappointed by Jamaica. read more
