Dust, dirt, hair, ants, mold, had fluff in any villas and hotel rooms, as well as a musty, easily schimmelgeprägter odor in the room.
We have a villa and we were looking forward to six days Fraser Island. Unfortunately we were extremely disappointed, there the rooms, as well as villas of the hotel extremely dirty.
The two villas, which we looked at were horribly decorated, totally dusty and not at all comfortable.
Ultimately we slept in a hotel room, since we were there in none of the villas nächtigen wanted - hotel room included bathroom horribly dusty, mold in the ... bathroom and musty odor.
We decided the stay on Fraser Island cancel.
We still have another room looked at - also terrible.
The island like its charm but this resort has up to the standard of a bad youth hostel.
The staff are arrogant and unfriendly.

This is the best hotel on Fraser Island. To that is however also unfortunately to say, that the selection of hotel is very limited. In terms of size, the room was very good, it is however everything already getting old and very old fashioned. The cleanliness was always top. We booked the hotel with breakfast. This was all right but unfortunately not more. There are 3 restaurants for dinner, whereas the maheno not always was open. Here we have one evening at a themed buffet participate. The quality and quantity of the dishes were very good. Apart from that we ... always in the sand bar dinner (no service). Also here the food was always good. The pool area is very nice laid out. Unfortunately were not always enough loungers available. A few more may not hurt and you would still have been enough room. Furthermore there is also a café and a shop, as well as two tennis courts. We have the from the hotel organized 'beauty-spots-tour '. This was great and interesting and you learn to fraser islands highlights know. It is a great experience with a 4-wd -bus to drive! The hotel offers also some other possibilities for recreation at. We still have a kanuausflug made. We are not very experienced paddlers and it disturbed us, that the guide unfortunately no help etc. Got. A family is even stepped out, because they are not zurechtkamen and their canoe then at the beach along back to dock ripped off. Unfortunately came from the guide here nothing at all. No help, etc.! The us very dissapointed. Parking is at the front desk on the mainland (3 days 45 on). Check in and check out worked very quickly and well. In our DERTOUR travel documents was a katamarantransfer to Fraser Island. There is no katamarn, but only the ferry! You can the car with to Fraser Island take. Inside of the hotel are the streets paved and also parking spaces available. For all other routes you need a suv. Overall the hotel is ok! Under resort hotel we put us unfortunately still a bit more. Next time we would rather a hotel hervey bay and a daytrip to Fraser Island make. read more

We had looked forward very much to this resort and the island looking forward to it, unfortunately we were disappointed! Our room was in the two story facilities in the lower area and smelled when entering extremely musty. We felt not at all probably and weighted at the front desk. But no one came by. After we finally a cleaning lady made, came finally a supervisor and said, the odor was normal, a different room if he could not offer. Came in addition ants in the room and the cold ( heat could not be).
The next disappointment followed shortly ... thereafter. Since we only 2 nights booked, we wanted to on the next day the guided geländewagenausflug book. But this was already booked. Also a rental car was not more, so that we Fraser Island except the resort nothing could see! Very annoying, we were because of the beautiful nature on the island gone! Our criticism at the front desk was not received. As an alternative we booked a whale watching tour, the very nice and was impressive.
In short: excursions definitely prior to book, from the resort not that much expect! read more

If you on the island want to stay, does not exist very lots of alternatives. Kingfisher is a resort on an island and what you will not bring along, is difficult and expensive to get. If one from here from a day trip is, you may save the directions of the sunshine coast, but the not straight inexpensive amount factored in. read more

The hotel itself offers hotel rooms various Categories. Our room was clean and modern equipped, the hotel was clean and modern. The complex with pool and CO was clean and nice. Restaurants of different price categories offered something for everyone, but overall very expensive. The staff, however, was unfortunately very incompetent. Upon the check-in was no room for us, after 30 minutes there was one. After two days we didn't get into the room, because the map was blocked. From the day before booked and paid excursions did the next day none of the staff more, after repeated back and ... forth we could then. Overall very unprofessional-it is a real shame! read more

On our Queensland-tour we were two nights at the kingfisher resort Fraser Island and have a organized bus tour over the island joined in.
I was from the hotel itself disappointed, it was not my impression, from the website had gotten. We knew, that it on Fraser Island because of the current and the sharks is not possible, swim in the sea. However it is anyway not really possible, comfortable at the beach to put, since this outside the hotel's own Dingo -fence is. As we were there for ten minutes descended, we were also by a dingo visited.
Therefore ... are all Badewilligen two after chlorine smelling pools right on the hotel. The I at a four star hotel expected.
The ferry terminal is just right on the complex, the investors to the hotel transported and the luggage from the pier on the mainland until to the room check through to. It is very comfortable.
By investors but there is little action, as the other Visitors the island with a 4-wheel-drive arrival to discover the island.
The breakfast buffet in the hotel is quite tidy, but as the whole stay quite expensive. For dinner has the complex three restaurant, two à la carte and a self-service restaurant with burgers and pizza etc. This has certain hours, after which one at the best directly after arrival informed. Apart from that there is also a small bistro, where it for the whole day snacks there, and a small supermarket. This is all within the complex.
The rooms themselves were very big with a balcony ( our work unfortunately to a lateral road without any view, a sea view is considerably more). Our room was unfortunately through the connecting doors on both sides very badly soundproofed, you could with its neighbors almost every word, the sound of children shrieking and yelling or the television program see.
The bathroom was large enough with a bath. Unfortunately the water pressure was so weak, that I the sand, not from the hair had.
My conclusion: Fraser Island itself is worth a trip, this hotel however definitely too expensive. If you like beach vacation on a Sandinsel want to do, which I recommend Moreton Island. Moreton Island is the third Sandinsel Australia and is located in front of Brisbane. I was only day guest and can therefore unfortunately nothing about the quality the accommodation at the resort. The resort features an bathing beach and offers many leisure offers, organized tours to the inland and is famous for its hand-feed wild dolphins. read more

Good and well-kept holiday resort on Fraser island. The hotel is on several buildings in dot the landscape and several awards. The buildings were two floored and the rooms with either a balcony or terrace. In just a few minutes per feed is the narrow (but long) sand beach and the ferry stop away. The rooms are a good size and our room was decorated with two large beds. The bathroom has a large corner bath with a Jacuzzi function. You feel like in a tree house, as all the paths are with natural wood laid out. The pools are ... large and clean, moreover, there was a heated Jacuzzi. The resort features several restaurants and bars. If you want to eat cheaper, can go to the restaurant near the jetty. There was tasty and there is a good choice of food and drinks. There are also a few Pinball, and electronic games and billiard table was set. If you choose, you should take a room upstairs. Because everything in wood and seems the floor, makes it when walking. Therefore, you had more peace, if one takes the room upstairs. ☺ Otherwise, the rooms are not so clairaudient. The location is ideally situated in the green with a lake and is harmoniously nestled into the nature. A lot of hiking routes directly by the hotel. Additionally, there were lots of excursions were offered. We have really nice days. read more

Very bad value for money. Absolutely overpriced and lousy service. Hotel is a concrete block and not as advertised surrounded by nature. Food inedible. The hotel has no single star rating. When we reported the manager was very rude. read more

we are waiting to our tour Brisbane-cains will gladly tailor three days at the kingfisher. I would recommend the catalog descriptions and star allocation. The staff was unfriendly, bad mood and not gekömmert to complaints. (no light in the bathroom, no working Toilet flushing and so on) the restaurant in the resort was totally overpriced and bad. Right on the flos area was a quick rest. That it was a good price-performance has Verhalätnis, and dishes really good taste. The cleanliness of the whole resort left a lot to be desired. Only the nature on Fraser island definitely lives up ... to this price. On the opposite side of the island are still seeking kiege two -3 resort the a friendlier one impression. The Kingfisher resort is an exceptional hotel. There was a lot of value placed on ecological building and behavior. Several times in the morning and evening vogelkundliche excursions to the surrounding area. The beach was only five minutes through the hotel areas. Here you were usually enjoys a fantastic sunset. Alternatively you could but also on floodlit a dip in the swimming pool. The breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired. We didn't eat outside for the cheaper rates rather approximately one kilometer away "Sandbar' where it next pizza also a delicious fish platter. comment on the rating from Sabine: We belive Sabine the wrong hotel rated the name "concrete block Opting that you wanted to give the Eurong Beach Resort. We visited as part of an overnight excursion (concrete block) and can only confirm your experience. The grounds to Kingfisher Bay is very nice in the area has won several Awards. The staff was friendly and can advise. Our room was very nice, quiet, clean and away from the main building. We ate dinner at the Maheno restaurant (right in the hotel). The breakfast and dinner buffets were always in order. The bus ... tour over the island (bookable at the hotel) are highly recommended. read more

The Kingfisher Bay resort is a good upscale middle class hotel with many amenities. As a guest you are left wanting for nothing and you can enjoy the holiday. During the day, you're mostly anyway traveling on the island and the rest of the evening you can spend pleasant in the resort. Surprisingly good value for money at the beach bar and pizzeria. The prices in the main restaurant are a little upscale for a Inselhotel also ok. Service because of the size impersonal, but ok. - You could certainly recommend read more
