Great hotel, especially the view or the location of the hotel. We had a round trip and were for one night in the hotel. Pool and beach chairs in good condition. The hotel was not cheap. For Sri Lanka especially quite expensive, but very nice. Free wireless. The spa area is not very cheap. Wide choice. Selection of warm meals at the breakfast is very big. On foot one cannot to kandy go. You need in any case a car. read more

Hotel in a wonderful location. A majority the room has a breathtaking view of the valley. The service is excellent. A good hotel to be comfortable and relax after a day of excursions. The driveway from the main street is easily adventurous especially with very narrow and kurfenreicher street still constantly buses meet. We were here for the 2. time and will come again. read more

We were as a part of a round trip for two nights in the amaya hills building. The very well maintained facilities reminds optically at a colonial mansion. The views of the individual room is replaced by anything (see picture). Especially the partly narrow and serpentinenreiche directions is an experience for itself. Guest structure: mixed, all nationalities, predominantly pairs. read more

Beautiful colonial style hotel far apart from kandy.
We were on a round trip one night in the hotel. Nice stale atmosphere with infinitely lots of stairs. Irgentdwie everything is on a different level.
Praise can we expressly the evening-and the breakfast buffet. Very diverse and tastefully. We have just everything try,.
For the handicapped not recommendable. read more

The hotel lies in the hills of Peradeniya high. The two access roads (from Peradeniya and Kandy) are in indescribable condition. You remember more of a stricken mountain stream than streets. It is a high risk, with a normal car to go. If one it without axle fracture to the top managed, there is a very good hotel with Glorious rewarded. For an overnight stay as a part of an island tour suitable. read more

If you the somewhat arduous path't mind, it is a serpentinenreiche street with potholes high, with a nice hotel rewarded. The staff are friendly and if you outside can sit, there is a nice view. The restaurant and the bar inside however not comfortable. The pool is super clean.
There is a spa and a disco, which we didn't use though.
However you have to realize, that around absolutely nothing and you evenings on the hotel rely on.

Hotel am hang in the mountains of kandy, by car 20 minutes into town. Free wi-fi amaya hills is approximately 5 kilometer on a hill and offers wonderful view of the town and the surrounding mountains. We spent two nights during a tour at the hotel Amaya hills. After a 'bumpy' drive you will be rewarded with a nice view. The staff are very friendly. Questions or requests were immediately fulfilled. The room was spacious and clean. We have stayed in several reviews described the dining room is very large and the noise level is corresponding. So not really comfortable. Outside on the terrace with table and a beautiful view with good food to enjoy on Kandy. The food is very tasty and varied. read more

The hotel was nicely located in the mountains above Kandy. If the car the very narrow winding road with many deep potholes bridal slips, you can hardly expect such a nice hotel. It is wonderful views of Kandy in a large, very well-kept garden. The garden is shown by the ambitious gardener you like, unfortunately will not, however, to the risk of leech to rainfall said.
The hotel also has a small pool, but the water is so cold, that hardly anyone use.
Our standard room was unfortunately in a wing right next to the front desk and on the ... ground floor. It had no good view of Kandy and was also right next to the driveway. The street was only the entrance to the hotel, but the supply was already at five o'clock at. If it is possible, one should avoid the rooms 1-nine. But there is a lot of room with a fantastic view of Kandy and the mountains.
The room was furnished nicely, however, tidy, clean and well-kept. Also in the small bathroom everything was in good condition. However, there was no separate shower, the bathtub had a shower partition made of glass.
With good weather you can very nice on the terrace with a view of Kandy breakfast or dinner. The food in the dining room gave the impression of a train station similar cafeteria. The quality of the food was this impression. The simple meal was kept in numerous food warmers warm and buffet care was not powered; you could, for example: after some time on the Eisstation only tentatively the lid open.
The staff at the hotel were very friendly and worked efficient and quick.
Despite the very average kitchen, to the one because of the isolated location is instructed, the hotel is a good choice to relax after trips to Kandy and in the surrounding area (botanical garden). read more

Well, as a 'guided tour tourist in the group' the characteristics of this hotel charged see (see the previous reviews), but if you spend a long time in this hotel, it is the peace and quiet, the location and the view fantastic. (You can expect for $165 B and B).
After the ' groups 'away, you could enjoy the peace and quiet by the pool, the friendly talks with the staff and Spa area.
As an individual traveler you get a table outside for dinner, of course, the Sri Lanka monitoring but better food to enjoy.
It is therefore the ... Amaya Hill hotel (formerly le Kandyan) already a window for years in my red plan. read more
