It was especially the location in the centre fieschs pleased. In 5 minutes on foot is the train station, the mountain railways serving the fiescheralp and almost all shops and restaurants. Perfect for public transportation-travellers!
The hotel was in stages renovated, currently still lacks the (small) bathroom. By the room size there is hardly a lot to do, if anything, would be a shower without cabin, but only with curtain, makes sense. A reduction in the size of the room would be a shame, you spend most of the time in the bathroom.
The furniture in the room and the ... cosy, modern restaurant we really enjoyed! The half-board menu always good, special requests were uncomplicatedly.
In spite of the located on the former main road at night is not much traffic noise. But we would next time a room on the back to the garden demand, as we while having the windows open sleep. A schneeräumungsfahrzeug makes it a hell.

Due to the good reviews on holiday check we booked a stay at the Hotel des Alpes five; we cannot confirm the positive reviews but only partly. The medium-sized, family-run hotel is located right in the centre of fiesch; the train station is only a few minutes, to the valley station of the cable car approximately six to seven minutes. Because of the construction of the road detour keeps the noise and traffic is very limited. A good base for exploring the aletsch area failure to explore. The whole hotel is spotlessly clean; the rooms had been in recent years ... with much taste renovated (after Feng-Shui philosophy). Parking spaces are right next to the house. Service: nice, friendly staff with low skills and (unfortunately) not to share his local knowledge (several personnel come from Eastern Europe). During the meals in the half board offer there were huge differences; a small breakfast buffet in the morning (modest but adequate), evenings there were huge Qualitätsschwankungen. Sometimes the menu was very limited and rather moderate quality, sometimes limited and on upper level. For US (and other guests) a real inexplicable thing. US assigned room (number 203) was very clean and fairly well equipped (flat screen tv, closet, small office, Armchair) but very small; a lot of space to move not more desired. The bathroom (92 times 206 centimeters) was an impertinence. Everything you need was there; but if you want to less than two square meters a shower cubicle, a toilet, a sink, a small mirror closet, towel rack, and so on note, the guest can use these devices no longer adequate sanitation. Around itself after a shower ladie correctly, you have left 'bathroom'; use the toilet requires some gymnastischer mobility (people over a, 80 meters body length should not undertake better this attempt). Especially in the room and bathroom area is the price/quality ratio does not. read more

The small but fine Hotel convinced through a very good family care and nicely renovated rooms. Furthermore, the food is excellent. The central location is very good and the detour street in the locality fiesch also very quiet. read more

We spent four nights at the hotel (room/breakfast). Hotel is a family run Hotel, very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The hotel has been constantly over recent years renovated room (except bathroom), as well as restaurant and installations are located in the newest condition. Gondola lift to the fiescheralp is on foot in about five minutes reachable. Large menu-there was something for every taste. We liked the food a lot. read more

The owners are proud to offer rooms renewed according to Fengshui. However, I don't think that Fengshui preconizes such a small bathroom. This is important for me, I would not stay there more than 1 night. Would of course return for a short stay, very good located. read more

As ski tour participants I got a very pleasant accommodation and has been introduced since my accident (aletsch Glacier) on the lake and with an obvious. My wet in the boiler room equipment I could dry. I selected the restaurant at the hotel was very good.

The entire staff was very friendly and accommodating, clean, pleasant room, speedy service. Bathroom in our room was a bit small, but it had hair dryer therefor, was large and very clean. Cozy sun terrace and very centrally located. The restaurant decor is a little bland/cool compared to the rest-but was no problem for us. read more

Friendly hotel with very good food, very clean and inexpensive. The rooms are not overly large but with everything that belonged (tv, safe, telephone, internet access). The hotel is ideally situated for hikes and trips to the Wallis. read more
