If you think in the hotel if you are a night gladly seen, is wrong here. Rude front desk at the check-in. The key is only a into your hand pressed. The 3 issues for example regarding breakfast is the owner already annoying. At least are all information above in the room on, but only in german. Any rule of the hotel in imperative and exclamation mark!? The duration and number of guests shows unfortunately the influencing developments of the hotel. The many rule are especially on the extremely it peace it apparently in this hotel to be laid out. ... For example 22-8:00 not showers and peace the corridors etc. But by the management also not enforced. The influencing developments also their effect! Until 22,30 a huge krack by tv and geschwatze of the guests Breakfast is according to rule only at 8 o'clock possible because of the peace. But for a travel group of 9 persons makes one then like a exception and this guests already at 7 o'clock breakfast (actually flexible). But you 9 persons and coffee machine in bed. If you then farther to the outside room just the exit under, where then the guests loudly on their taxi waiting. But also no reaction hotel management, the hotelruhe so hochschreibt. If you in the hotel own restaurant to eat would like, must one already at 17:00 decide, whether you would like to eat there or not, later not more. This is a but at the check-in not communicated. In guarda it is very difficult a restaurant to find, unfortunately the most sold out or just with vorreservierung. It has just 4 piece included the piz buin. The restaurant Meissen is very recommendable and usually still place.

For breakfast we wanted to sit at a table. Serving staff it was a table for guests! In response, we are guests, the go nevertheless not, we should elsewhere to sit. It seemed the fenstertisch for guests reserved the a longer stay in the hotel have. The hotel guiding principle: if we find good, tell it further, if not tell us, is not lived. With a complaint, rude and unprofessional responded. We have the incident for breakfast certainly mistaken. The objection we could already correctly understood and some other factual comments which we to criticize had. Then came the answer: you do not have it necessary, we should now go! You got paid for the price really only a bed for sleeping and breakfast.

Hotel and rooms were clean. The room bright and friendly, not too big. The beds were very good. There was no refrigerator/mini bar. The service was friendly but not very much. Simple Mountain Style. Overall I recommend it. read more

This hotel is located at the end of Guarda. If you arrive by train, it's difficult to reach and you should take a bus. There is a parking so if you drive a car, there is no problem.

we were greeted by the owners very friendly and a so-called family room. These are but two commodious nice rooms, which are connected with a hallway. In between was the bathroom. Ideal for a family! The dinner was outstanding and the breakfast buffet as well. We would stay there again at any time. read more

Guarda and Hotel Piz Buin must be Switzerland's best kept secret! What a jewell! The village and inn both charming and authentic. The inn was clean, comfortable and quiet. The included breakfast was a lovely selection of traditional foods. We had a hard time tearing ourselves away! Well worth going a little out of the way to find. read more

The hotel is located at the end of the beautiful, historic town of Guarda. The dining room was for guests only and featured a comprehensive breakfast. I found service to be excellent. My rooms (stayed twice) were clean but small. My first room unfortunately opened to a barn side where they pumped liquid manure for the entire three days, something the hotel could not have helped. The manager/owner was wonderful, helped me with maps for my next four day hike, keeping my luggage for me. She also helped arrange shipment of my luggage when it was time to move on ... to my next hiking site. She really helped make the trip successful for me. She always was friendly and professional. This is an historic hotel with old pictures and various antiques adorning the hallways. read more

As mentioned earlier, my room was small but clean however, it opened to the back of the neighboring barn. Because they were pumping liquid manure all day the three days I was there, the smell was pervasive and the noise from the pump whenever they filled up interfered with any fantasy of taking a nap. I once had a farm myself so was sympathetic, however an issue for room quality.

Small restaurant for only guests, great breakfast buffet and though limited choices, very good food for lunch and dinners. Enjoyed vegetarian dishes as well that were different from other restaurants.

Again, the owner went out of her way to loan me some more hiking maps and to find me a room for another night. She also helped with the luggage transfer. Service in dining room was done by young women serving internships, always closely supervised by owner. They were delightful and provided good service.

I came to hike so I was very happy everywhere in Switzerland !! I did not have any internet access, do not know if it was available so had to spend a day going to Scuol to find a cafe, which was a waste of time but necessary as I was on the road for a month. Even a one station computer for a fee is very helpful when traveling, particularly when hiking hut to hut. Occasionally when staying in pensions or hotel, needed to send messages about my well being home.
