Purpose of our trip was, both of us from a flu and the gloomy winterklima
To relax and a little bit of movement to get. So no excessive island tours,
But also dauerpoolbesetzung.
The puerto palace were excellent. The extensive pool area with numerous,
Secluded corners is more pure arise, than the usual teutonengrillreihen.
Room and balcony are generously dimensioned, the bathroom satisfies the requirements with large storage space, a tub and all the necessary facilities for disabled guests, is however rather functional than fantastic.
The local staff as estimated treats guests. The arrangement was nothing,
But our charwoman (or ... the now correct roomservicemanager ☺ often again a bottle of sparkling wine and two glasses on.
The kitchen is for four stars adequate and tasty. Remarkable: the low prices for beverages!
From the hotel to the beach promenade it is good 20 minutes on foot downhill. A shuttle bus from the city drove there several times a day. read more

A modern hotel, with very good overall impression.
Large, nice sized rooms, good facilities with all the that you need and expected. Lcd tv (at least 5 or 6 german programs.) And a beautiful big balcony with fantastic view of the see complete the whole. Large bathroom with two sinks, but solved the toilet such a loud noise from, comparable with the airplane, the night you not flush should. Safety deposit box for a fee ( however as a part of).
Is excellent the pool area. Palm trees of all kinds, flowers, curved ways, hidden areas, liegeterrassen and beach ... chairs around the large, ornate swimming pool. (heated.) Next to it there was a small, not heated, but with waterfall. Children's pool and two hot tubs there. A wonderful and spacious area.
For a rental car there is parking in the adjacent streets, since we always found a free spot.
On foot it is about 15 minutes to city, otherwise there was a shuttle bus and taxis enough, for about 3 €across the town.
What we did not like was the large dining room, in the it was loud, so at least at peak times, crush here and there and the especially because 'older gäste'!
The food offered little variety.! Cafeteria character!
For breakfast everyday the same, very basic stuff, but enough for us, in the evening not special, always fish, meat, noodles and so on., however very simple in preparation. But
You must admit it tasted was well seasoned and one was every day full. Evenings there was fresh fruit bananas, kiwi's, papaya's, mangos and really sweet oranges, in addition still ice in different kinds of and sweet desserts.
In conclusion you could say, we were very comfortable and would book the hotel anytime again. The value for money is quite appropriately. read more

We really liked the hotel. And as we wanted to on foot go, that didn't bother us, that to the center still a few meters back are. On the contrary we are in the taoro park, to to the center to go.
Amazingly we found only, that at the buffet much fruit from the can was offered. The diversity at fresh fruit was within limits; except apples and bananas were every 2 days oranges or kiwi enough. Apart from that there is really nothing to moan... Was a great vacation. We would gladly come again. read more

The hotel exceeded our expectations. The garden with the pools was nicely arranged, the traffic noise didn't disturb us not. With a view of the sea there is a beautiful view of puerto and far on the sea. The employees are friendly and the atmosphere quiet. read more

The hotel is a big hotel in the swanky east-style. Such a building you can also in Budapest or Prag find, from the 70. years, but with style. The interior of the hotel and the garden are very well maintained. In the garden and in of the lobby there is a free wi-fi, you can with breakfast, half board and full board. About the guest structure: from christmas until new year's eve far over 65. rollators dominate the picture. From january then just over 60 on average, a few but also families with children. In the all in all we vacation at the puerto palace is a 2 +. From the point of view of a couple without children and the 30 everything was good to very good. The only things, we say are:
The food is average. It tasted and it is a good choice offered, but a 3-star -restaurant one should not expect.
We had a little problem us with the staff to communicate. A combination from english and german was necessary, since both spoke rather moderate from the staff spoken are.
The waiters well-being lots of tourists and the attendant ärgerlichkeiten ... rum and are also very strong clamped by the workload. Nevertheless we would have liked a little more friendliness desired (a 'normal interpersonal, not this feigned.) read more

For the end of our teneriffaurlaubs we had at short notice still 2 nights in the hotel puerto palace booked, since we still some activities intended.
We snatched apparently the last free parking in the hotel's own garage. The check in took a half eternity, because the staff several times our passports leafed through, data in the computer einklopfte and then also still another bad document explain, what the whole procedure of new was needed. Furthermore we the front desk not particularly warm to us. The connection, who the hotel assures us, did not in the room still in the ... hotel lobby. We had our web -check in for the flight on open street conduct, after after some trouble managed, in a open net a coffee house to hatch. Our rooms in the hotel puerto palace clean and spacious, nevertheless gave a rather cool impression. There was also a small balcony with a view of the hotel pool and with seating possibility equipped. Praise must the mattresses, on which we at least twice excellent slept. Furthermore the room was with a tv, a desk and a small fridge equipped. The only socket was in the bathroom, which is why for charging our camera batteries and mobile phones the desk move had, in order to plug in the tv to arrive. The bathroom was also spacious, with washbasin, bidet, toilet and a bath with a shower curtain. The device for the handbrause was not adjustable and was in the height. For two large persons like us not a problem; for someone with a body to 1.60 the showers however a challenge. Unpleasant was, that the water temperature during shower several times independently from ice cold to scalding changed. The toilet-flushing did not regulate and the water thundered in a such intensity and volume down, that it in the ears hurt. The partner and the room oh barns could sorry, if you in the middle of the night of which be woken up.
We had breakfast buffet booked, which now 07:30 take place. The dining room is huge and there are several machines, where coffee can be collected. Apparently it is but no matter, what sort of (latte, Cappuccino, espresso, etc.) You choose, since everyone coffee simple malty tastes. The fruit juice, also from the automat, tastes chemical; the bread is fragile; the fried rasher of bacon and minipalatschinken (pancakes) feel between the teeth as rubber at. The selection of cheese and sausage is not outstanding, tasted neither of the two, is still butter or pasty than coating, which was acceptable. The fried eggs were small, however reasonable. There are a couple more flummeries to the selection, which nothing special say ( magenfüller ).
The guest structure consists almost exclusively of german speaking guests; retired in the majority, a few a few younger couples with very small children.
Evenings live music in the hotel lobby, the rush but, our impression after, small. Nobody danced, the people sat if rather bored around.
The city Puerto de la Cruz itself is very touristy, the numerous, often massive hotel make it clear. In the city centre prevails evenings much action, so-called 'anreisser' a friend on the street partly aggressive for your pub and restaurants. Another visit in this town in the next tenerife vacations is nevertheless not totally excluded; a 2. stay in the hotel puerto palace however already. read more

A hotel which we because of the bad food not recommend would. Meals were all partly lukewarm to cold. Tomatoes always green. Par baked rolls in the morning. Sausage choice was very poor, partly already dry edges. Service was up to the hummercocktail, everything was cold. Who wants to cold salmon food. Pool, although apparently in the winter heated, no more than 19 degrees. No bathrobes available. Lighting poor and only one plug socket available. Deposit for the remote control 20 Euro. Safe was not used since way too expensive. All together not worth 4 stars. read more

In december we got a good last minute offer for this hotel received.
Check-in took place reiblungslos. Although we only as a couple arrived, we have a family room get, with 2 balconies-top!-)
The furnishing is logical a bit dated, but perfectly acceptable. The cleanliness in the whole hotel is convincing. Staff are always friendly, no communication problems.
If you the hotel bay, is from the beginning clear, that the beach a bit further away is. For us completely ok, as the water in december a bit too fresh for swimming was. Alternatively there is the beautiful pool area ... in the hotel. Which i especially praiseworthy think, at any time was the entire area monitored by a pool attendant. (although not any swimming was, it can thus nobody under go \u263a
Generally security at the puerto palace very big written. Every friday lunch 12 hours, in other words a feueralarmübung instead! This is what i call times german standards!-)
On the TUI travel line locally, we had us for 3 days a rental car rented.
Is very recommendable we stayed in the short time, all major points the island explore (Teide volcano including cable car ride, fishing village of masca & garrachino, shopping in Santa Cruz, Loro Parque, and so on)
It was a successful vacation overall, and we would come back at any time. read more

Price-performance ratio are correct, but the hotel lies between 2 busy roads, so that it both by the pool, as well as in the rooms to harassment by smell. To the historic part to reach on foot, you have to be good on foot (strong hills). As location for excursions to Teide and other spaces the island the hotel is excellent. This hotel has with good reason almost 90% recommended! I would recommend the criticism from some people over noise the street at all not understand. These people live at home probably in any village where almost no cars drive. You will no hotel find, which is not on any road! There behind the hotel a road leads past, you can hear a few times on the day the saving grace or polizeisirene. It didn't bother us. For if the noise is, must be elsewhere have a vacation. We didn't about this hotel to criticize, the quality and variety of the ... food was very good. (but over the meal one can always argue). What's really great is the nudist area on the terrace of the hotel. There are altogether 3 jacuzzis a temperature of 35 degrees. No way no heated pools! Who in the winter on holiday runs, no 25 degrees warm large pools are. I think for the price you can almost no better hotel find. Because the hotel on a hill over Puerto de la Cruz is, is the way to the beach or port somewhat and partly very steep. However therefor the location is very quiet. We found every day new and partly shorter ways. To us it was a very nice vacation, although we the 1. time in december in the south were traveling. read more

The hotel is located somewhat away from Puerto de la Cruz. Up to the city center 10 minutes on foot.
