We stayed for our anniversary some wonderful days on Borkum spent. The beach hotel Ostfriesenhof for us was the perfect accommodation on the island - quiet, comfortable and centrally located with a breathtaking view of Nordsee.

We have a wonderful week in Ostfriesenhof spent. The location right on the waterfront with a sea view is super, the rooms comfortable and clean, the bathroom big enough and new. The staff are super friendly, accommodating and caring, the breakfast left hardly anything to be desired (for tea lovers: the tea selection is amazing!) and the kitchen in the evening is not excessive prices very good. All together a very recommendable house. We have liked it very much. read more

To be honest say: all positive Evaluations of this self-managed hotels have their justification and can be confirmed. Repeated is again the one-time location ( view of the wide sea), the peaceful atmosphere in the restaurant and the amazing good food included breakfast. ( the coffee also tasted at home)

Completely renovated a few years ago, is the beach hotel ostfriesenhof a very stylish house and nevertheless comfortable we could have stayed longer. The rooms are big enough and very harmoniously decorated. Everything is clean to in the last corner. The staff are without exception very friendly, nice and helpful. Outside of the season were we mid forties already to the younger guests. read more

Together with my daughter I was in the autumn holidays (2011) with the beautiful beach hotel Ostfriesenhof! In the warm atmosphere we felt very well. Starting with the front desk, on the nice and courteous service for breakfast to the room staff!

After two weeks in ostfriesenhof we can on a very successful stay back. Already on arrival we could determine that the word service has any meaning. Because the hotel no lift us with the bags to the 2. floor helped. Also for the return trip. The breakfast was very good, in addition to sausage, cheese, fruit, muesli and so on. Every morning freshly prepared egg dishes offered. As a part of the half board we could from the entire menu with starter, main course, and dessert to choose. Each of us selected menu was excellent. As already of other travelers ... noticed, was the coexistence of owners and staff very welcoming. All of the staff very hard for the stay in the hotel make it as pleasant as possible. The hotel itself was excellent in a good condition, in the cleanliness was nothing to complain about. We would definitely come again once the vacation in the ostfriesenhof. read more

From the owner run, very pleasant, quiet hotel with a great view of the beach and ocean (with view of the sea -). All staff very friendly and dedicated. All special requests are dealt with immediately and satisfactory run without much discussion. Hotel facilities were very clean and in top order. Details the website are realities and not as sometimes, years ago, shortly after a renovation or on the basis of a 'demonstration room' emerged.
The food was excellent. Large selection of food and drinks. Quality on a high level. No mini portions with frills. Very recommendable.

Simply super 30 meters away from the beach.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Internet appearance of the hotel is equivalent to the fact everything as described.

It is a very nicely renovated and comfortable, clean hotel with sea view. We had one of the larger rooms facing the courtyard (205). It was very spacious and clean. The service was very friendly and courteous. (daily new towels, summer ceiling on demand, etc.)
The breakfast buffet was well stocked (cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, meats, cheese, fresh rolls, bread, various jams, honey, tea station, juices, etc.) and everything was quickly refilled. Eggs or sausage were to order freshly prepared! The coffee was very good.
The restaurant serves quality food in an elegant setting with good price/performance ratio ... and a wide selection. The food was perfect and offers a view of the promenade to the sea.
Tip: the competence of the staff on the hotel's website! Definitely rent bicycles, in order to explore the beautiful nature on the island! read more

The friendliness of the entire staff is to insist. The only downside is, that the hotel has no elevator. But if you were good on foot could still feel well here. The direct location on the beach promenade is another plus for the hotel. read more

You can tell, that it is a owner run Hotel. To detail they put much importance. This makes the Charme of this hotel. And, of course, the location with a view of the sea. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired. A variety of teas are available, as well as fresh fruit. With half board you could put together the menu. The dishes were freshly prepared. The food was delicious. The rooms are bookable in size and location and very tastefully decorated. As well as the bathroom. The friendliness and attentiveness of the staff is absolutely commendable. This is an owner run Hotel, behind its historic walls of modern, Stylish Ambience hide. The decor in the restaurant, bar and rooms is' consistent '. The service is very good in all areas and dedicated. On the assessment on the ground by the guest much importance is attached. In-room safe, and extra luggage rack would be things, which would have been desirable. But overall everything was very positive. I especially want to mention is the excellent breakfast buffet with fresh fruit, freshly prepared eggs to order and a great cheese selection. During dinner in the restaurant you have a ... beautiful view of the sea. Next to the food is a good selection of wines to be recommended. read more

A great hotel in this price range. We were with several people, but I think it would be very suitable for a romantic holiday as a couple (ocean view, direct location on the beach promenade, very nice restaurant).
Only sad, that the hotel itself otherwise only a few additional services such as a Spa can offer. Offers for this but are in the immediate vicinity. read more

This hotel is very lovely managed. The owner will take care as well as the very friendly staff. The rooms (we had the suite) has a fantastic view, and all of the amenities are, except for the very few shelves in the bathroom and a small closet, very nice and well kept. Unfortunately, it was very warm in the room and the windows don't open only cigarettes. No terraces or balconies! ( Historical preservation) a shame, with stunning location. The bar is very nice and valuable decorated. In winter safe a nice spot. The breakfast is awesome! Good rolls, bread ..., lots of teas and always something different. All very fresh products. Nice atmosphere in the morning breakfast in the dining room overlooking the ocean. A bit Abendessensteller well arranged. Could be a bit plenty, but that would be criticism on a high level. Good selection of wine. CONCLUSION: We will be back. A nice little hotel with good value for money. As a friendly gift a bottle of wine and water. A glass of jams at departure. It's customer loyalty!!! Love Borkumer lessor! Take the time to the model. read more

The hotel Ostfriesenhof is a nice, well run Hotel, which is situated in an excellent location right on the beach of Borkum. The pedestrian zone is within a few steps away.
We spent a weekend at the hotel and were very pleased. The room was clean, about 22 sqm in size and in excellent condition. Since we had booked sea view, we were able to travel from our room and even the bathroom from the ocean and thus also look at the sunset. Great! As the hotel has no lift, the climb was 'in the third floor was a bit ... of a hassle, but you get used to it quite quickly.
The breakfast was very good, there was everything the heart desired. Eggs could be ordered separately, so they were always fresh.
Since we had booked half board, we ate twice in the restaurant. The half board you à la carte a, the following means: you could choose either soup/salad/appetizer/main course or main course from the menu. This variation was, in contrast to the otherwise session in other hotels, very good. The quality of the food was very good and more than adequate. There were also aushäusige guests in the restaurant, not least through the fantastic view of the North Sea to explain.
The staff was very attentive and friendly. The owner was the whole day in the hotel and was always friendly and competent to answer questions.
There is actually nothing to complain about at the Ostfriesenhof and if, then only minor issues. There is no fridge in the rooms, we make for a summer holiday not as nice, because who don't like chilled drinks in the room. The hotel has no air conditioning, so in summer it may be very hot. The hotel has no balconies (because of the monument protection) and a Wellness/Spa area. This one should know, before you decide to Ostfriesenhof. It was a very good value for money, and you're gone the whole day the fresh air.
Conclusion: we can further-recommend calm conscience Ostfriesenhof and will certainly, the one or other quick getaway love to go back there. read more
