The hotel is situated in a small village in Vulkaneifel. We booked half board and were both from the hotel, as well as in the area very pleased. At the weekend the hotel was booked, since one became already times with strange couples at a table. We found that good, because we met nice people know and well maintained. However, this is not everyone's thing. read more

    We inhabited a double room with a balcony, the very quiet was. The room was brightly decorated, particularly positive the spacious closet and bright leselämpchen on. There was a small safe and a telephone. The shower was medium sized and with sufficient counters. Missing utensils you could at the front desk received. Everything was very clean and tidy.

    The two restaurants were with light wooden furniture. The larger room was the breakfast in buffet form offered. It was the three stars standard, but no highlights. In addition there was still the old rate, in the smoking was allowed. From this the hotel is developed. The lovely outdoor we could because of the weather unfortunately not use. The half board meals was real german home cooking, as you only rarely (Gulasch, roast, chicken fricassee...). Everything was very tasty and plentiful and hungry hikers coordinated. You could but also to show food, also there were rather meaty dishes. Positive were falling off the prices on, both for the food, as well as with the drinks.

    The staff were very friendly, however at the start a bit reserved. Many english- and dutch speaking guests were in the hotel. Everything was very clean and tidy, daily towels and bath towels were changed. There is a sauna and a jacuzzi, which we did however not used. To dry the walking shoes and clothes is the boiler room available.

    In the village there are except the hotel no public facilities, the village is located on a little busy side street and was therefore very quiet. You can go shopping in gillenfeld (3 kilometer) or in Daun. The hotel is mainly from hikers and bikers attended, which is the area completely outstanding suitable. In a short distance you will find three crater lakes, where you can walk to. Also more demanding hiking trails are well marked. Until to Cochem at the Mosel there are 25 kilometer, to Trier approximately 50 kilometer. nice are also the small eifelorte Manderscheid, Hillesheim or monreal. For ruheuhe search hikers is a real paradise, if you are looking for entertainment should the place rather avoid.

A very nice, peaceful location for a hiking vacation. The place is very small, however by car it is easy to get to friends resorts or highway. The trails may be better signage. read more

Very clean and well-kept hotel with high-quality and tasteful decor. Very accommodating and friendly guests are looked after. Quiet, scenic location in a small valley in the picturesque Vulkaneifel, as good as no traffic and no traffic noise. Tidy and very clean rooms with a nice bathroom, safe and good beds. Parking spaces directly in front of the hotel. Delicious breakfast buffet wide, with half-board there is additionally a simple but attractive menu. Price/performance ratio very good to excellent. Would definitely use this hotel again and can recommend it unlimited! read more

I have enjoyed it very much. The family is very friendly and the deer ragout from the current game menu tasted very good to me! Transportation to and from the hotel is very good, the bathroom is very modern in warm colors and very modern equipped. Only the tv was a large selection and be a falchbildschirm. But only in passing, what stands out is absolutely the incredibly great peace in and around the hotel, where you will find a great night's sleep. read more

For people, who like hiking at night and wanted to have their peace, absolutely great. You can hiking from the hotel great, the practice of the senses is very original. With a car, you're also to other starting points. We were completely satisfied with the cottage Schend and found the price/performance ratio very good. Also with our dog we were able to go straight from your room and large meadows dressed. read more

Have a nice weekend in country house Schend and we can only recommend it! The food both at breakfast and dinner tasty and of very good quality. The rooms were very clean and decorated with attention to detail. We enjoyed our stay very much and we will definitely go back again any time! read more
