A cute island with Maldives-flair of the finest quality, the mainly from peoples appreciated-italians, germans, austrians, swiss, frenchmen and englishmen. The furnishings is simple, but more than adequate. The island is luckily not through pernicious luxury or water villa sploit. A little renovation might be the most houses didn't hurt. read more

    The bungalows are individually (except see above), have a small terrace, the size is completely sufficient. The air conditioning blows directly on the bed, that is why the off switch for the night recommendable. The tiles in the half open bathroom are very slippery, especially, if they are wet. It says be careful, that one didn't slip. The described minibar is a profaner empty fridge. Makes but nothing, there are enough, and if you want to, you can also drinks from the bar, or the restaurant up here.

    The restaurant is simple, you had free table, the table cloths could be changed more often. The breakfast is not exhilarating, however alright. Finally, bathala only three stars. The selection of dishes at lunch and in the evening is manageable, but even in this framework you change. If you are not every day everything takes, has quite not always the same. So 2, 3 different curry in indian style are always there. Fish lovers will not really at their own expense, since there are usually only tuna, and is really dead, as well as lamb or beef. Pork there is not at all, for pasta, and the chicken in all variations really good. As well as the fruit-always super fresh. The dessert there were always something else. The bar was plentiful, in the package of the all-inclusive there is plentiful, but no cocktails-as they are proposing to. The bar is partially covered, otherwise amazing and simple. Folding sleeping chair and tables in the sandgarten under palm trees at the beach, that was it. Maldivian it is not.

    The arrival has worked smoothly. Then came the drawback: because of the systematic surbooking (see above, and this was not an isolated incident, we could the whole 2 weeks observe) had us in the 149 (see above) cramped, and the, although we already in may 2012 had booked. That is a real impertinence, and, apart from a shrug or the offer, us after filitheyoo (we know, since we did not want to again back) or medhufushi (5 stars but the reef could only be reached by boat) to bring, was once nothing inside it. Since, we were upset, and the bottle of red wine helped also not much. The almost led, the island not recommendable - but it was so nice...! The next day we had a nice bungalow, not on the side, where we wanted, and there was not flexible, despite our wunschmeldung 4 weeks in advance. Ultimately we have resigned ourselves, because we wanted the island enjoy. The cleaning was acceptable, there were towels every day, the houses was always besenrein (including the glastischplatte on of the terrace). The staff was exceedingly friendly and attentive, without that fake made-respect!

    Luckily there are no animation. The school must be very good (we only snorkels). There is no pool, but a huge bathtub, depending on the tides between treading water, sit-in bath and swimming is. Magnificent. On the stingrays you have to be careful, is however easy. Umbrella we have only one saw, otherwise donates the nature shade, if you want. Each cottage has 2 beach chairs with mats, condition well, but we have good slept on, read, relax...

    After bathala is the speedboat standard (a good hour), you can but also against an extra charge the water plane take (20 minutes). The cottages are in a straight line until zickzackmäßig arranged, in principle, all very near the beach with different capacity around. Beware 147/148/149! This is a not in the catalog or on the website of existing 3. bungalow, systematically for the overbooking is used. And the 101 is not so great (on display). Jochen and Klaudia were for one week on bathala. Were asked, whether we the island want to go to after medhufushi (due to overbooking) the was perfect organized and we also medhufushi also really great met. A great 3 weeks holiday on the Maldives. Bathala is still very original. Great! read more

Small original island without all the frills like pool, spa and water bungalows. Everything with sand, in other words 3 weeks no shoes. The general condition is however badly ageing and originally we could have stayed longer. Best example, the souvenir shop more sand and dust on the shelves had a product. read more

    The biggest flaw is the condition the room. A worse and baufälligeren condition of the hotel we have never experienced. Of course you need it for sleeping. But no reasonable storage space for suitcases, in huge bubbles sloping paint and plaster of the walls. At every place where for example the tauchkoffer was this next day really fully abgblätteter paint and plaster. In the wardrobe in safegröße -were all things the bottom were after a short time with color full of dust.     The food each in buffet form offered. Breakfast good and sufficient. Lunch good, dinner at least after a week monotonous and for someone, the don't like hot eats very little choice. We must not have 20 different dishes, as well as on other three stars islands offered will be, but the fischgulasch what at the buffet freshly prepared must not have the same ingredients as geflügelgulasch next door in the heater is possible. Furthermore, the tablecloths at least 3 days not changed and only turned off. Also this is for us a three stars standard.

    The biggest plus of bathala is the service. Really all of the staff the island are absolutely friendly and helpful. This honestly over, where we on other islands already times the feeling had the sometimes which was played.

Stay on the island bathala was dreamlike. The bungalows are very simple but fully sufficient, clean and one shower in the open \u263a. The staff is definitely friendly the food was always very good taste and very good. If you don't knick-knack needs (pool, animation, and so on) i believe there is in good hands. read more

The island is small but 'fine'. Totally 46 beach bungalows, no wasservillas. Bungalows no more on the newest conditions. It is however everywhere renovated and painted. All-inclusive top. Wi-fi just for a fee, unfortunately, and only the front desk distance. 60% italian, 40% germans, swiss and austrians. Many divers. Age of 25-75. read more

    Rooms are different large. Some are already freshly painted and renovated. The state must the next years be done. Us did not bother us. Simple furniture, no tv, no radio and no telephone. You don't need. Mini fridge is available. On the veranda is possible 2 chairs with small table. Very nice to let the evening die away. Kettle for tea and coffee must be taken, nothing available. Coffee and tea is served in the bar. Air conditioning worked out very well. We had a somewhat larger bath. However, one must be careful, because some tiles jumped up are. There is also small creatures (ants, cockroaches, lizards and so on ) in the room and bathroom. Everything was clean. You really need no longer at the Maldives

    I can only say one thing. Super. I love hot food. There was every day different curry, mild and spicy. In addition there was still salads, and vegetables, pasta, potatoes and meat. Which i loved, every day fresh fish from the grill. The fruit are sliced. Small dessert buffet, but delicious. Pastacorner -our men found only lobworte. We have stayed at lots of places, but there was the pasta at the best. Breakfast buffet with different breads. Fresh omelets and fried eggs were prepared. A large restaurant with sand floors. Very clean. The tables and chairs were renewed, but are the tables for 4 persons too small. Since bathala an all inclusive island is, the drinks already paid. Water you can in 1.5 liter bottles at the bar or in the restaurant take. Tip is of course always very welcome.

    Very good service. Thanks to sadeq, then and nabeeh. Most of the waiters even spoke italian. Think, of which, that the island until the end of 2011 under the italian management ran. It will now be under malaischem management run. All speak good english and partly also well german. The waiters know about 2 days what the guests wanted to drink. Very accommodating. Rooms are 2 times per day cleaned. Every day the beach towels in the evening replaced. On the veranda are, and they are being replaced. The hand and showering cloths are every day changed.

    Luckily is no pool available. You around the island. No animation. No crab races, simply nothing. So nice. Beach chairs are to each bungalow reserved. Shade the various palm trees and bushes. For snorkelling very interesting. Many corals, not too colorful unfortunately. Very lots of fish. For snorkelling are 6 hooks available. Some the a/exit very close. Caution tide and ebb closely.

    Most bunges have a view of to the sea. Some are a bit more to the rear. The island could you in 10 minutes on foot. We took the seaplane arrived. Very recommendable. Island is very original and quiet, no animation keinpool, 1 time/week ' disco ' in the bar. Barefoot island, because everywhere sand floors. Beach all around perfect, no sandpumpen, no offshore walls. Kitchen basic but very tasty and for 9 days completely enough variety. Bungalows in extremely different condition. From spartan but clean and tidy, to completely run down (to which we changed after 1 night, since tellergroße mauerstücke the tiniest touch from the walls broke). Place is in the rooms adequate, service the room boys good. Beach front and beach towels of torn until new everything available. Lines carry ... forward! For diving: the great local reef was this year crucial for us, after 5 years again after bathala to return. We were glad to see, that on the island little has changed. However-the diving basis is now perfect! Starting with the order and organisation 'onshore' (maps, putting lists and plans, infobuch, drying room, comfortable and plenty of space for the wash basins and reef-tg-preparation.) On the uncomplicated and friendly settlement the einschreibe formalities, to super comfortable reef-service and, of course, then the organisation of the boat dives: very, very helpful and attentive boat crew, precise breefings, good service with towel/water/soft drinks, great guides and underwater. You always have a good selection of spots, whether longer or shorter to drive would like. The equipment seem to be in top condition. Asked about 20 kilogram-max weight with condor a jacket borrow must, was ideal. We were in the travel 20,12. 12-3.1.13 on bathala. We had for the arrival a speedboat booked, but were because of the high current, free on a water taxi moved, which we found great. The arrival on the island was extremely warm, there were still at the jetty cold refreshment towels handed and then we got a cocktail and got our rooms. Since we 4 persons in two rooms were, we have at home by mail expressed the wish, that we gladly the rooms next to each other like, the worked great. A warm thanks to the ... resortmanager Abdullah. We got the bungalows 127 and 128 on the north side the island. The beach sections were on the whole island very nice (all storm damage, as in previous reviews were, were beitigt ). Us was the north side very right, as there is usually a little more wind and more shade in the afternoon at the beach was available. The south was always very calm and oppressive hot, but shade on the whole island at every bungalow. The rooms were very different, but both by the size and usefulness completely sufficient, Also a small refrigerator was located in the room. There is also a hair dryer in the bathroom, shampoo, shower gel and soap and sufficient many sockets (several with zwischensteckern for european plugs ) in the room available. Clotheslines we had both in the bathroom, than on the patio too enough available. Tv does not give it, but the we missed on the island either. The mattresses the beds in our rooms were very comfortable, also the air conditioning and the ceiling fan worked well. Beach towels are likewise daily changed and made available. On request at the beach we received even 2 beach towels per person. Every room has its own beach chairs with comfortable cushions. The cleaning of the rooms worked perfectly, it was cleaned in the morning and in the evening the bed before going to bed again presented. The renovation works after the fire in the restaurants were closed and all meals in buffet form again there. For breakfast there is tea or coffee to choose from, 2 different juices, various pastries, one sort of sausage, cheese, local hot dishes, warm bacon, small sausage and different egg dishes (omelets, fried eggs, etc.). Fresh fruits was also all meals available. With the lunch and dinner there were a selection of various local dishes, as well as some international dishes, as well as a daily pasta/nudelecke and always fresh salad and fruit. For our taste very tasty and during the 2 weeks we had enough change. Particularly praiseworthy was the christmas and new year's eve buffet (some photos are attached). The beach and the nearby riff the island are unique, we therefore have no other snorkelling trips booked, as everything is available! Only the sole dives at the nearby reef we were somewhat too expensive us, since only the accessories was lent and the you paid already extra. The entire diving equipment, by staff directly at the einstiegstelle of the beach of, you don't need it to pay, just great service! Of al leisure offer there is a variety of excursions, such as snorkelling trips, Day and night diving, morning and night fishing, male-visit etc., on the island there is table tennis, a small library; crab races find several times the week instead of. The service and the friendliness all the staff are on this island unique, we stayed in the whole 2 weeks not a single unfriendly staff! We have on this island immediately felt good, since it only about 48 bungalows, everything was much family. Many thanks to the whole crew in bathala for the beautiful, equipped hotel! In december 2012 we were for the first time on the Maldives! The humidity drops the bungalows to, everything else was optimal. To the day of departure. A small paradise: - beach and island feeling unbeatable - good food! - terrific reef nearby, reef sharks, turtles, eagle rays and fish soup - diving school very correct (local prices stripped-you should book before) - the only, but serious drawback and the reason why we this hotel will not any longer visit was the property: After we festellten, that we our bed with bed bugs have to share and these small beasts a daily blutsopfer demanded, we had immediately with the management complained and another bungalow required. But our complaint was not so taken serious. Then the bungalow with ... a new bettuntergestell and 'new' mattresses equipped. Okay. We thought, that is not so tragic. But the mattress or the base had a strong, musty smell. Could only with towel under the pillow and again on the pillow to sleep. After restless nights home again arrived, we had then on our roommates more asked. This tiny bloodsuckers can relax in the clothes, in the suit-case, in the zips, just everywhere hide. We only hoped, that none of the small beasts mitgereist is. Then we would have a real problem! read more

Bathala is a very simple island with a great house reef. Who does not attach importance on luxury and wanted to dive or snorkel at, is in the right place here. One pulls with arrival his shoes off and put only for the return trip back to. The whole island consists of sand, even the restaurant or the bar. Very nice staff the food was always very tasty. Should be emphasized also the diving school Werner liter under the leadership of laurent and Ingrid, also the boys are always friendly. The underwater world of bathala is dreamlike! We have already at home the transfer by seaplane booked. To that we have to say, that on the ground the transfer a lot cheaper to book. The reef was really great, but didn't bother us, were the while luisenpark, from the neighboring islands. So that people brought, the no idea about snorkelling had! The staff on bathala is very accommodating, especially in the restaurant very friendly. If it only on the staff instead, we would immediately again bathala choose! The food was really good, in the 2. week repeated some, which did not disturb us however. The rooms have ... no three stars deserves, maximum 2 unfortunately we had the whole time the noise from angle grinder, sawing and hammering in the ears. As the spent restaurant ready was renovated, we were looking forward to a quiet some. But no, then in staffbereich a stage set up, a week long again flexen enjoys, hammering, sawing. Fudge could not, except into the water, the island is simply too small for this. As with the stage finally were finished, was also our vacation to end! That was a holiday at a construction site and not on a dream island. Annoying was also, in this case but no more relevant, that you constantly the dieselaggregat hear. A dream-diving holiday. The island is small but nice. Short paths are great. Great diving team. Rarely so well umsorgt. Small island, only single bungalows, dirt roads, is not a superfluous luxury as pool, flat screen tv etc. , fantastic beach - nice, that respects reef, renowned diving. Pitch was, that 2 days before our arrival the restaurant burned out and couldn't be used. The bar was decided to the restaurant-very good-without disturbance in the process. The rooms are 2 times daily and it wasn't missing anything, enough towels we had for 2 persons often up to 8 towels at the Day the least what we had were 4 badentücher on the day. The beach towels are daily evening changed. The paths are very clean, the gardener return the whole day! The island is, as often already described, in 10 minutes to orbit. Unfortunately it is for our taste a little too 'nature'.     We had the bungalows 139 and 140- directly at the beach. Some of the houses are behind bushes, some have sandbags on the doorstep. We found our beach section on the most beautiful. There are very many staghorn-, hard and tischkorallen. Soft corals in the snorkeling area also a few, however by far not so many and so different like for instance Bali and Egypt. In the first week we had strong currents at the nearby reef, the 2. Week it was, but it was the view of poor. Buoys are all dives required. Advantage Bali/ Egypt: there are more big/fish. While snorkeling and diving we often eagle rays, once even 8 mobulas, lined up, as a string, armdicke moray eels (well, the there was otherwise also, but not so many and so great), tuna and small black and weißspitzenriffhaie. Caution: entrance 6-the there 'stationed' trigger is extremely aggressive.     The island is, as often already described, in 10 minutes to orbit. Unfortunately it is for our taste a little too 'nature'. Everywhere were sheets, tubes of trees (some completely disgusting get bitten, if you stepped on it) and smaller Ästchen rum. You had to the other already on the way eighth. At the front desk are a women- and a men-toilet. If something was, we didn't use it, but stay in our bungalow. Was not so clean and smelled quite intense there. Average age was between and. There were a few families with children since, otherwise couple. In the first week mainly German and austrians, in the second week fell italians. I love Italy and you are not allowed all be lumped together. But a combined cargo Italian on vacation is partially steep, as they are sometimes very inconsiderate are.

Bathala is a small, quiet and simple island, the you almost exclusively for snorkelling, diving and relaxing drives. When we the second time for Maldives decided, we knew exactly what we wanted. There should be a barefoot island are, a beautiful nearby reef have, no water bungalows, in absolutely no way activities and water sports, and please no jet setter where you have a suitcase Abendgardrobe have to drag your. After a few researching via has Bathala us and we enjoyed every single day, there were 16, on this island enjoyed. The arrival with Emirates over Dubai went without a problem. In male arrived we were with the speedboat in 70 minutes after Bathala stituents. Here, we have ... to mention that the passage without and for people with back problems the seaplane only is recommended. On Bathala we were very nice received, check in ran problem-free and one had relatively quickly bungalow. We had the 111 and were content thereby. Changing bungalows would have been possible. The staff were super nice in all areas. To eat: we enjoyed it and for a three stars Island it was really good. We have in any case don't miss it. One could easily socialize the beach bar, very lots of German guests on the island were ( warm greetings to Uwe, Yvonne and Phillip. Silke and Günter, mom and Anna, as well as the Viererteam from Celle and the Sauerland region). Highlight was of course the nearby riff. We have almost everything seen which the Indian ocean has to offer and you forget everything around if you this reef snorkeling. We had 16 days best weather and only on our way back wept the sky for 10 minutes. In short: we have found what we were looking for and are equipped with 100% relaxation return to hotel.
